My wife and I purchased a kitchen suite…

My wife and I purchased a kitchen suite thru Costco totaling $7000 a little over a year ago because they were offering $600 cash back on visa debit card. We received the Visa debit card in the mail. We've been saving it for vacation and saw the expiration said October so I checked and realized it was 10/18 expiration not 10/19 and we had not gotten a replacement card. I called the phone number on the back only to find out our balance is now $0? How? This is crazy. Costco says they have nothing to do with it and to call Omnicard and Omnicard says "too bad..sorry". Are you kidding me? This is Fraud and a lawsuit. These cards look exactly like every other plastic debit/credit card with Visa logo/name/strip and PIN number. Nobody ever reads the small fine print on the back of their credit cards. This is not right. So Omnicard keeps my money? Customer service wouldn't answer it but that's how this shady business works. Shame on you!! Lawsuits are coming..Shady practices. Beware!!

SCAM Company running dishonest business practices

This is a shady business running a glorified SCAM via expiring balances. Really no reason one's money should expire. There are plenty of other honest and reputable businesses offering the same services out there. Avoid this company at all cost!

BAD CHOICE- POOR RESOLUTION

I HAVE EXPRESSED THE SAME CONCERN ABOUT THE FUNDS EXPIRING!! LOOKSLIKE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE COMPLAINTS!

THE FUNDS SHOULD NEVER EXPIRE, IT IS A DEBIT CARD WITH CASH. AT LEAST THE FUNDS SHOULD BE REFUNDED TO THE ORIGINAL COMPANY WHO ISSUED IT.

I LOST $200 FOR MY REWARD CARDS. I WILL ASK MY COMPANY TO STOP USING THIS SERVICE. IT IS A WASTE OF TIME CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY SIMPLY KEPT THE MONEY! IT IS BASICALLY STEALING. NO WARNING OR REMINDERS. BAD SERVICE WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM.

ANYONE CAN ISSUE CARDS AND DISTRIBUTE, BUT THE ONES WHO SOLVES PROBLEMS IS THE WINNER.

Omni Card scam

AM.. SCAM... IF I could give negative stars I would. Stay away from this company. I was issued a rebate from a purchase I did. Before I used all my funds the card expired and funds disappeared. I contacted Omni Card and they said the funds are gone. Funds just don’t disappear. They are keeping the funds. Why can’t they just issue me a new card with the remaining balance? Now I’m out of over $200

Scam and very bad customer service

Scam and very bad customer service
i received a visa card as part of a competition for attending a conference about 10 months back. Little did i know that i only had 10 months to use the card.
When i called customer server, i was immediately told that they could not do anything. The agent's name was Nancy and its as if she was reading off the script. After expressing my concerns for a few minutes, she then instructed me to reach out to the company where i can received the card from. what sort of advise is that?? had this been a omnicard that i had received as a wedding or birthday gift, am i expected to reach out to my guest to give me back my money?? i asked to speak to her supervisor. I was told that he was in a meeting. i am like "ok, can he/she call me back?". Nancy then acknowledged that was possible. i dont understand why i had to be the one providing options especially since she was in customer service.

I received a call about 30 minutes later from the "supervisor", Alex. He said that EXACT same things that nancy said and that he coudnt do anything. i told him that i needed the money to buy diapers for my 1 year. i even requested them to charge me a penalty for not using the card within the required time but alteast issue a new card. sadly, no help there.

what i don't understand is that, this same has happened with other CC companies such as vanilla etc. upon calling them, they always gladly reissued a new card to me(minus a processing free of around $10). why is omni card policies different?

im in customer service myself and i am not going to let this rest. i am planning to reach out to conference organizer and asked them not to deal with omnicard anymore.

Extremely frustrating company policies. Please avoid at them at all cost!!

All of a sudden I have a zero balance

All of a sudden I have a zero balance? I tried 4 times to get an accounting of where it went and got nothing. It was a $500 "reward card" for a customer referral from Baker Electric Home Energy. Their intent was good but Omnicard has failed. When I called, the customer service rep was just about clueless and assured me that they would give me all the detail but nothing! My guess is the "detail" did not add up to $500. I know I was shorted at least $100. I know the folks over at Baker and I'm sure they will make a change if they already haven't. Jim P

Omnicard reward card expired less than 2 years from issue?

Received an Omnicard reward card from my employer for Christmas last year and went to use it today at BestBuy only to find the card had no balance and was expired. I didn't pay attention to the expiration date due to me not expecting it to expire for at least two years (CA law puts it at 5 years, I believe). How is it legal for any card like that to expire after less than two years? Absolutely Unbelievable! I'll be advising any of my clients and friends to steer clear of OmniCard going forward.
