I started lessons with Mark back in September 2023 and I can't rate him enough! His patience, expertise and skill to teach were second to none.

I had a couple of different driving instructors pre-pandemic but they weren't as nearly as skilled or empathetic as Mark is. I felt comfortable every lesson I had, and had no trouble and learning at my own pace thanks to him.

I did suffer from test anxiety but finally passed on my 4th try. Mark truly helped me combat my anxiety as well as helping me on the skills and techniques I needed to improve on. He also helped with test bookings as well, to try and combat the long test wait times that we are currently facing.

If you are looking for an instructor who will take the time and patience to help you learn at your own pace and make you feel comfortable during lesson then Mark is ideal driving instructor for you.

I have tried a few driving instructors and I haven’t found one that I was confident and progressing with but as soon as I started driving with Mark I felt like everything clicked and I was able to understand and keep progressing each lesson. He gave me confidence and understood how I was feeling and was able to know what I was thinking without me even having to say. I have passed first time with one fault. Mark was understanding, patient and overall a brilliant instructor, mark was diligent and he adapted his way of teaching to suit me and gave me confidence in myself.

He built my confidence with driving from scratch and he put in so much extra time for me leading up to my test, aswell as this he was so good at putting my nerves at ease with ‘test pressure’ as this is something I really struggle with.

I am truly grateful and couldn’t have asked for a better instructor if I tried, I will definitely be recommending to friends.

I have worked with Mark for about a year and half. I had trouble booking a test however Mark willingly would wake up to try and book it also. Honestly not everyone would do this. He taught me how to drive really well and was always kind. He willingly worked on Bank Holiday because my test was the next day. Was very easy to book lessons with him and practice my areas of weakness. He is professional and friendly. Recommend working with him!

Mark is an excellent driving instructor. Very calm, has lots of practical tips to help you remember things, and structured in the way he teaches without being formal or rigid. Mark is always on time and slotted in extra lessons as my test approached. I couldn’t have passed first time without him.

Additionally, the process of booking lessons was easy with Mark and OnlyEssexDriving. I didn’t have to wait for my first lesson or subsequent lessons. So much better than my experience with another local outfit where I gave up after they took weeks to book future lessons.

Mark was a great driving instructor, always on time. Always quick to let me know of any changes. Always pushed me to do better and without him I wouldn't of been able too pass first time. I highly recommend this driving school.

over the few months of lessons with mark i’ve found he is honest with my mistakes and questions me how i can improve which helps my overall driving ability and mindset when driving.

the check book is helpful as it tell my parents how far i’ve come up to and they can see the progress i’ve made. he also gave tips for my theory test which helped me pass.

I’ve had Lessons with Mark since February 2023 and he has been the best driving instructor.

I feel like i have progressed a lot between when i started and now, with the workbook to look back on after lessons, and writing a log book for every lesson i did and even getting ‘homework’ such as learning the different traffic lights.

I also appreciate the honest feedback from Mark after my lessons as it’s very valuable to know so i can improve and progress following my next lesson. he is very patient with me, as i am an older learner and i feel more confident i will pass my driving test soon. I highly recommend Mark.

My daughter learned with Mark, the lessons started off quite well but two months before her test he became difficult when I wanted updates. When you’re spending £1,200 on lesson I think I have every right to know how she’s doing. During her mock test he told her she’s never going to pass then finished with “well I guess you could get lucky and pass” that is not encouraging an 18 year old. He became difficult and couldn’t fit her in for extra lessons which is because I think he was annoyed at myself. Refused to do the lessons leading up to her test as he said my text messages were insulting and harassing, I would update a screen shot if I could where I even say they were taken out of context. Unprofessional and very quick to take your money. The fact he took it out on my daughter and not me is just unfair on my daughter.

I passed first time with Jason he is a great instructor and extremely reliable. Would definitely recommend!

Jason is a fantastic instructor. Has taught my daughter, my son and I (late learner) to drive. He has helped us all overcome our anxiousness. Can’t thank him enough. Highly recommend.

Loved my experience with this driving school- helping me pass manual first time! I had Jason as my instructor and couldn’t recommend him enough. So patient, taught me at the perfect pace and made me feel so comfortable. He remembered everything i needed to work on coming up to my test and really felt like he gets to know his student’s strengths and weaknesses personally. Going to miss our chats!
