The efficiency with which my request was dealt with (following the death of the policyholder) to ensure continuity of cover, was exemplary. As was the consideration shown to me during the re-assignment of policy process.

Shame I couldn't score this company nil…
Shame I couldn't score this company nil or minus stars. The one time my cat needed treatment, for teeth lesions which my vet says is not an uncommon condition as cats age, I told that because I hadn't selected some obscure add on to my main policy then I wasn't covered. Totally unaware of these add-ons when renewing each year. When trying to claim, also discovered they don't have a phone number after endless searching - you have to email them or complete a form for a call back - needless to say after sending this twice, I wasn't contacted by phone either time as promised, just an email saying my cat's condition not covered - absolutely terrible service, would avoid them at all costs- impression is they will try and resist majority of claims

Couldn’t recommend less. 9 out 10 claims are discounted, really not worth the premiums you pay this company. It would be far better to put money aside for your pets needs. Years of wasted money and fake assurance.
As the saying goes, you only know how good a company is when you need to claim. Buyers beware

Only Paws - doesn't impose co-payment excesses
I previously held pet insurance for my elderly cat with Only Paws. What sets them apart from other insurers that they don't impose co-payment excesses when the pet ages. It purely increases from £99 to £200 so you know in advance how much you will pay rather than having to pay 10-20% of the vets fees plus an excess. The claim process is also easily done and quickly paid. I've looked at other insurers now I have a new young rescue cat but cannot find another insurer that doesn't impose a co-payment excess when the pet ages.
