Overall, a considered approach. OpenDoor Mortgages regularly stayed in touch with us to update us on better mortgage rates. There was no rush to get any mortgage - their experience showed because we bided our time and ultimately secured a mortgage at an amazing rate.

Worst experience I've ever had.
We started this journey trying to get myself a mortgage with Callum in November 2024!
Since then I've had only 4 or 5 valuations, with it being months between each one, and I don't mean just 1 or 2 months!
Whenever a call is made to try and contact Callum (which is basically everyday now), he is always
'on the phone'
'in a meeting'
'out of the office'
Its excuse after excuse every. single. time.
Multiple ignored emails, multiple ignored calls.
Its absolute ridiculous and so unprofessional, I've never known anything like it!
Looking at other reviews, communication seems to be great, so I'm unsure what I've done to be constantly ignored.
I was also told he had been busy due to him doing something to his house... respectfully what does that have to do with me.
From my experience I would 100% not recommended

They provided a clear pathway to the right products for our needs, giving us a steer and guidance of the current mortgage environment. Especially grateful in these uncertain times.

Excellent service from Faisal Noor Mortgage Partner. He was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable from start to finish. Faisal made the mortgage process simple and kept me updated at every stage. I truly appreciate his support and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy mortgage broker.

I first started being assisted by OpenDoor Mortgages in January 2024. After unsuccessful house searches, I decided to stop for a period of time. Callum Small and his colleagues assured me when I resumed my search, they would be happy to assist again.

So, fast-forward to late 2025, I resumed my search and asked for a new agreement in principle (AIP). The one I received initially wasn't great (being that it was via a different lender than the first, with a loan amount insufficient for the kind of house I was looking for). Eventually, OpenDoor obtained an AIP with the lender I wanted, with a loan amount more than enough for the houses I was looking at.

Finally, I found the house I wanted to put an offer on. Callum was very helpful in advising what to offer (reminding me of my chain-free position), so much so that my accepted offer was a little below the listed price.

After my offer was accepted in January 2026, Callum arranged a video call with me, guiding me through the next steps. I had many questions prepared for him (such as when to arrange a survey, when to instruct a legal team, how long it could be until completion, etc.), but he covered everything in his guidance without my having to ask him anything. Such is his level of expertise in the house buying process.

At time of writing, I'm well into the legal side of things.

While the mortgage advice is technically over, Callum's team continues to email me occasionally, seeing which stage I have reached. Charlie Grech has providing me updates on how far my conveyancer has reached in the process.

Also, Thomas Rutland went through protection options in great detail during calls with me. He persevered in finding the most beneficial protection for me, bearing in mind best value, my circumstances and reputability of the company. Much of this was complicated to me, but Thomas explained everything clearly, leaving me reassured and confident in the decisions I made re. income protection and home insurance.

Massive thank you to the company, they really help us out with our mortgage and insurance and everything we needed to know. Quick to response and really efficient. Would highly recommend.
