I was telephonically interviewed by them about 10 months ago after applying for some jobs listed by them on LinkedIn. After the interview (where none of the applied jobs were mentioned) I never... See more

Unexpected email assault from someone in a senior managerial position
I was happily and innocently playing shadow of the empire on a retro N64 when out of the blue I get a diatribe email of the rantings and ravings of an unhinged nutter apparently with the role of someone in a senior managerial position at this so called agency.
Contents of the email:
He made a lot of accusations and with the approach of a feeble and powerless child attempted to add some heft to his abusings by underlining some particular thoughts and putting some in bold. I guess he missed the font editing feature to select red ink but crayon scribbles would've been more reflective of the mental age of the author.
Must say I was awestruck at the accusations made and couldn't believe what rudeness he was referring to unless he and his cronies were possibly the enemy characters in the shadows of the empire game I was playing. I nearly called out to the TV screen to ask the at-st, imperial probe droids and the whampa's I'd been shooting at with my laser gun for the last few hours 'is that you in there?' but then I realised unlike him, I'm not deranged so talking to the TV is insane.
Can only hope the agency offers private healthcare and he and his cronies can get the mental health treatment they need. Shame about NHS cutbacks leaving these poor people to fend for themselves.
Clearly I wouldn't entrust my career to them so won't be having anything further to do with them and in good conscience must advise the same to all hiring managers and candidates alike.
Optimus Search employment fake staging with the IT professionals
Optimus Search is a offering positions based on the up tick about 20% to 40% rates... And NOT only? Optimus Search will squeeze out of honest working people every penny, cheating, playing games, and "staging" the context.
I did work one assignment with Optimus, and even then Optimus did not respect the initial offer we agreed upon. So I decreased my hourly rate by 5 EUR after I got the job (the agent insisted that it is necessary), just to please them. I thought that they will respect my move, with it I allowed Optimus more than overall 20% profit out of my honest work!?
This move proved to be a mistake/total disaster. The next offer, they came with the proposal, than staged the scene, and then played double game with background agencies from Brighton area in England. This time, they tried to rip me off for minimum 50%. I do agree with some reasonable reward up to 20%, but 50%. No Go!
Please, BE AWARE of scam tactics by Optimus. They use the same triple agents schema, just to convince candidates that they are cool.

Worst experience in my life
Worst experience in my life was with this recruiting agency. First of all, salary published in the advert is fake. You can expect 2x less than shown in the listing.
Very aggresive approach and constantly calling you back although I've requested to remove all my private data from their system in accordance with GDPR.
AVOID!
Continous unwanted phone calls and no way to stop it...
Continous unwanted phone calls
The company is always calling me on my cell phone asking if the can send me resumes for C# developers. I never asked for this and I never gave them my phone number. I've blocked several phone numbers from Berlin already, but they seem to always find a way to call from another line. On the website there is no imprint and no information how to contact the responsible person for data protection. The woman who called me today was extremely aggressive.
Unreliable recruiting agency
I an sharing my experience working with 3 of Optimus recruiting agents. I wouldn't say all agents in Optimus are the same. I am sharing my case based on my personal observation.
- Do not rely on what Optimus agents address in their job ads.
The salary in their ads are way higher than the real salary. You should expect the real salary to be 25 to 30 percent less than that on the Ads.
- They justify the discrepancy between the Ads and the real remuneration as their ingenuity to attract highly-skilled candidates. (This is exactly said to me after passing phone interview and a couple of days before face-to-face interview)
- They are not responsive when you follow up with them regarding the interview.
- They are very inquisitive about other agents you are working with as well as other companies you have had interview with.
- Don't expect Optimus recruiters to talk to the companies on transportation expenses you pay for attending face-to-face interviews. The charges are all on you.
Again to be fair, I am just sharing my personal experience with 3 Optimus recruiters and I still assume there might be good recruiters in Optimus who I was not lucky enough to know and work with them.
They keep on bugging me
I have been in touch with them since the fall of last year since I had been looking for jobs in my area. They had send me a few offers, but nothing really developed and I have been hired by a company last January through different means.
Since then I have still be getting job offers which I always kindly declined with the request that they should take me out of their database. This doesn't happen for some reason. Either people don't bother or they simply don't want to delete my profile, I have no idea. 2 weeks ago someone responded to my plea and told me that he would take care of it. Of course I have received 2 more offers in those last 2 weeks.
This has been one of the more frustrating experiences with a recruiter.
Worst experience ever !
I found myself to be a successful freelance developer. I'm doing this job for the last 5 years. However, I hope to find some permanent position in Germany.
I will briefly describe my (very bad) experience with the recruitment agency:
# 1 case
we finally arranged one interview. So I fly to Berlin (that's more than 1000 kilometers from my home)
Interview at the company was good. Still, after I come back home I got NO feedback from that company and NO feedback from a recruiter as well. that is ridiculous.
# 2 Case
I received another offer for a job in Munich. 1st call was unsuccessful as she could not reach me. I called back 2 times in next 2 days. Then she was not ready to talk, she said she was busy !?!
All I can say is, this is very ARROGANT behavior. Arrogance is the best word I could give to this company.
all job seekers, I strongly recommend, avoid OptimusSearch at any cost!
