Overall very pleased with our experience and would encourage others to take part.

Invite through the door somewhat sceptical but saw piece on BBC web site. Enrolled answered questionnaire which took 20 minutes booked appointment for two of us. Received email confirmation reminders and turned up for appointment. Train station car park parking ticket paid for, 20 minutes with lovely person who took blood, reported back on result of finger blood sample and left very happy. Arrived home two £10 gift vouchers one for me and one for my partner from web site. Overall very pleased with our experience and would encourage others to take part.

Personal data harvesting on the cheap

Yet another company attempting to acquire your personal data on the cheap, using the NHS logo as a façade. I deleted my account immediately after signing up, without providing any samples.

No issues whatsoever..5 star.

Arranged for an Appointment in Boots chemist in Speke Liverpool for today and cannot find any fault with the consultation. Went in spot on time and the person I saw explained everything about what was going to happen. At the end of consultation I was told all of the results and received everything also in writing.
Reading these reviews after my consultation I would have had doubts about joining but my experience has been first class and would recommend it. Perhaps I was one of the fortunate ones.....

Can't take your blood in certain circumstances

I felt very let down by this. I spent a whole lot of time filling out the online questionnaire and giving lots of personal information. I went to my appointment only to be told they could not take my blood from my lower arm, wrist or hand where I usually have this taken. On no part of the info was this stated as it could have saved me a whole lot of time and revealing of personal information. I cannot have it taken from the crook of my arm as I faint. You have not informed people and now, despite putting in time and effort I cannot claim my £10 voucher as promised! Also, I think this information could be better used to scan for levels of harm in the blood and for cancer etc so feel the time taken could be put to more efficient use. I will now be forced to withdraw but so annoyed you wasted my time with misinformation.

Badly organised

Firstly I don’t think OFH is a scam, just very badly organised. Arrived for appointment yesterday in Boots Canterbury to be told by staff, appointment had been cancelled so on checking my email yes, just a few hours before, by then I was at the appointment
Was told by staff all Appointments were cancelled last week also.
I’m surprised a respected high street store such as Boots is participating in this at all.
I regret sending my personal information especially when thinking was for a good cause.

Train the Staff

My partner and I went to our appointment in Boots, Newark.
The following is not a reflection on Boots, but perhaps they ought to know!
The assistants tried once in each arm to get blood from my partner, and then blamed her for having a cup of tea as the reason they failed.
When the other assistant came in, they had a conversation and the words were ‘I’ve stabbed her twice, and can’t do it again’.
This was repeated a couple of times, with the word ‘stabbed’ used each time!
When my time came, I refused the blood test …… no surprise there.
I have tried to complain a couple of times and no-one is interested.

Got the letter through the post and it…

Got the letter through the post and it looks like an official NHS letter asking about research. I scanned the QR code and read the bumf. Why do they want to give me cash for some blood?
When signing up, you have to consent to:
Researchers approved to access and store the information collected by Our Future Health could be from academic organisations, charities or companies, in the UK or overseas

Sceptic in me thinks American pharma, insurance companies etc.

I’m all for research, but not this one, thanks

I had a confirmed appointment at Boots…Peterborough

I had a confirmed appointment at Boots Queensgate Peterborough for today 28th June (both email and text confirmation)......only problem was the surgery was closed. No contact from them to change the appointment.

There was a notice on the door stating when the surgery was open and closed. It also said the surgery was moving to a new location.

Utter shambles.

The excuse is going to be "oh we are moving, sorry we did not contact you"

So I then phoned the new surgery and asked for a new appointment......"Sorry they say we have no record of you"

By now I have come to the conclusion that OFH is managed by a bunch of amateurs.

Even worse..........the internet booking system is still offering appointments on dates when the surgery is closed.

Several people turned up while I was there..........I feel sorry for the old guy who probably had come down on the bus; an appalling way to support the community.

I have now asked them to delete my record, but who knows. No confirmation from them of any action taken.

I had a reply from TM of OFH yesterday to say that the practice was closed for lunch, so I sent them a photo of the opening times on the surgery door. For the date in question the practice was closed.

"After careful investigation, we found that appointments took place on the day apart from staff’s lunch break which for Our Future Health assessments is between 1pm and 2pm"

I give up

Absolutely pointless

Absolutely pointless. BP, height, weight, waist and cholesterol. Big deal. Hardly going to tell me something I don't know or couldn't work out or find out from my watch. Blood only gets tested for cholesterol - no fancy cancer risk markers (which is why I was interested). Everyone knows surely by now that being overweight, smoking, drinking, not moving and eating a poor diet increases your risk of getting almost all non contagious diseases. Rubbish.

Bruised Arm

I went for my appointment at Newcastle Eldon Square, I didn't have to queue long, I couldn't understand the employee who did my tests very well and i had to ask him to repeat his questions several times, I am left with a massive bruise on my arm after the blood test, it hurt quite a bit when the needle was put in my arm, I am used to having annual blood tests at my gp practice and I have never had a problem before.

ourfuturehealth.co.uk Fred Carno does it better

Had an appointment booked for 20/06/24 but got a text on 19/06/24 to tell me appointment had to be cancelled and to rebook. Rebooked for 0920, 24/06/24. Arrived at 0905 and sat waiting when a young lady approached and, looking embarrassed, told me there weren't any appointments scheduled for today and I should have been contacted .... I wasn't. I was also the second this morning who turned up.

Not impressed and doubt if they are any more efficient with their analysis of any data they gather about you.

Had to apologise to the young lady for my grumpy response (not her fault). Long way from home, red hot weather and out of pocket with bus fare. Not happy!

In theory this sounds like a good idea but beware

In theory this sounds like a good idea. But as I was filling out the survey I started to feel a little uneasy and stopped. Seems we sign away a lot of our personal health information that can be used not just by the NHS but companies abroad. For me that is a red flag. I won't be participating. I am not about to hand over this information to an American private health insurance company,
