Absolute bunch of scamming low lives
£300 lost and zero chance of getting it back !!!!
Absolute bunch of scamming low lives.
They stopped marking my course in June and everythime I called them the advisor would say don't worry it's because we have have a shortage of tutor's. I was repeatedly told not to worry and that my course would be extended for free. Got an email today that they have now gone into administration and no coursework will be accepted and no certificates will issued. What a waste of 5 months.
WHEN I ASKED THESE SCAMMERS WHY THERE WEBSITE WAS STILL LIVE AND ENROLLING STUDENTS AND TAKING CASH THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GOT:
I will summarise the position for you below :
Oxbridge Ltd was put into administration pursuant to a Court Order on 1 October 2025.
Guy Hollander and I were appointed Joint Administrators by the Court on 1 October 2025.
Oxbridge Ltd had already ceased trading but had not closed its website.
Upon my appointment as administrator, I sold the business (such as was left of it) and assets (including learning materials, website, domain names and trading style) to two purchasers.
It is my understanding from looking at company numbers on websites, that one of the purchasers (called Home Learning Ltd, a company run by Matthew Jones) trades as Barston College as well as the name Oxbridge that it purchased. It is the purchaser that is accepting students and selling courses, not Oxbridge Ltd in administration. They are two separate legal entities.

Poor from the start
Poor from the start. Daughter has been trying to get hold of her tutor on several occasions since June, tried to get hold of the college, finally got a message from the administrators on October the 8th. On the plus side hopefully people won’t get conned in the future
Oxbridge have folded
I have just received at email that Oxbridge have ceased trading. Do not pay for any new course material. They are in administration. If you do have course material, you will be able to use it until July 2026. They have advised me to contact other learning providers to see if current work can be transferred. The course in its current form will not have Tutor support. Very frustrating as it was a well put together course and easy to follow.
This company has gone bust.
I started a course in August and submitted my first assignment early Sep. No feedback despite a 2 week turnaround agreement. I have tried to contact my tutor many times, left messages, e mails with departments and never had a response. Have been thinking I must be going mad. I have just received an e mail advising me that the company has gone into administration and I will have access to the course I paid for until July 26 for self learning but it will not be assessed or any qualifications given. I am at a loss really now. I have just looked on their website and it is still up and running so do not waste your money as they have gone into liquidation
Oxbridge is in administration…!
My daughter completed a course and has been waiting for her certificates only to find out Oxbridge has gone into administration and she won't be able to obtain her certificates.
They managed to collect all the fees though.
Disgusting!
Waste of money
Been waiting for anyone at this point to respond to me and mark my work for over 2 months.
Disgraceful company
GONE BUST
Should be no stars! They have gone bust. No response since Sept 9, leaving my son high and dry with his A level and Uni application. Nice one guys.
Please report this “ company “ to…
Please report this “ company “ to google with your reason for reporting them! You can do this by typing in A level French online courses… scroll until you find Oxbridge, then press onto the 3 small dots to the right of their name.
You will come across boxes Share, Save, Remove result and Feedback. Press onto the Feedback box…. and you will come across a list of titles for you to pick to make your complaint about this company! I chose Inaccurate Content, a box will pop up for you to write your complaint!
If enough people do this then Google must stop this fraudulent company from advertising, by using Google… hope this helps!
This company has gone financially bust
This company has gone financially bust! ( You can check this on creditsafe) DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM! They are not taking calls or responding to emails. Please try to get your money back if you can!!
DO NOT USE - SCAM!!!
I have been trying to contact Oxbridge since August as my work has not been marked - I have completed all the modules since the end of July, yet they have not stuck to their 14 day marking window. Now I have come on trust pilot to see if others have said anything, and apparently they've gone bust!! No warning at all and you can still buy courses online!! IF YOU'RE READING THIS OXBRIDGE, I WANT A REFUND!!
UPDATE: I have reached out to my exam board and they have been incredible helpful. STUDENTS PLEASE CONTACT EXAM BOARDS TO CONTINUE QUALIFICATION!!
This is what NCFE have said:
"NCFE have asked all learners of Oxbridge to contact the Department of Education in this matter – they will assist you in finding a new centre who can then register and certificate you.
you may contact them on:
DfE helpline
Telephone: 0370 000 2288
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm"
Everyone read this!
Everyone read this!! Avoid Oxbridge at all costs, it has gone bust without letting the students know and I have heard stories of the company still taking money from people. I started my Travel and Tourism Level 3 Diploma last year in September, by July I had finished all my units and was set to get a merit or distinction, however my tutor stopped responding and got replaced with an AI chat bot, none of my assignments were marked and I am feeling very angry to have come out of this with nothing as I chose to do the diploma as opposed to A-Levels. My parents also lost hundreds of pounds and we haven't got a refund or anything, not even any sympathy. It's a poor show, avoid it at all costs!!!
No one answers emails or phone calls even when you pay the extra
This seems like a scam! Our daughter started her course early August and after receiving one email from her tutor, no one will answer any of her emails, any of our emails or answer the phone on many occasions, different days and different times. Any advice on how to get our money back would be appreciated!
I’m another one caught up in this
I’m another one caught up in this. More accurately my daughter who is doing her a levels. I haven’t been able to contact the school for 3 weeks. Something very sketchy here. Oxbridge hadn’t filed their 23/24 accounts and some simple digging around on companies house and you’ll find that Matthew Christopher Jones who is the director of Oxbridge has a history / trail of dissolved companies.
I don’t know what that means beyond a pattern of behavior that rings alarm bells.
He’s gone dark on LinkedIn but he’ll show up somewhere else. The school has obviously been taking money from new enrollments knowing it was in dire financial straights so the only conclusion to draw is the man at the top lacks any moral or ethical compass.
Maybe his trip to the Sahara to raise money for a children’s hospice is genuine and maybe it’s reputation washing. Either way, this all smells rotten. If this was a physical school then the gates are open, the doors and the classrooms are open, the kids are sitting at their desks but there's not a single member of staff in the building, and this has been going on day after day. It's obscene.

Just submitted a dispute with credit card company. Signed up and paid in August 2025 - but 1st assignment has still not been marked, no access to online course, no reply to emails, chat, phone calls,
Thieves trying to get reviews deleted
Oxbridge are forcefully making TrustPilot remove reviews based on tutors' names being used, using a loophole of GDPR even when the names used are in the positive, such as tutors whow were forced into redundancy. This is a conscious effort to silence people who they have stolen from so that they can continue to steal people's money whilst not fulfilling the service they are offering.
I already had my genuine review of being robbed of several hundred pounds I'd paid for a course, and they took that down because I spoke positively about my actual tutor. Vile.
EDIT: They've been threatening to take this one down too (Oct 7th) unless I provide further (private) information.
Like many others if I could give a…
Like many others if I could give a minus score I would. Signed up January this year for an advanced diploma in counselling. The first issue I had was having to pay to use a program to upload an assignment onto a social media platform. Called because it should have been free and basically got told ’you paid it is your problem because it should have been free’.
Other than badly worded assignment questions I had no complaints. All essays were marked within a few days of submission. Unit 7 took almost 14 days but was marked nonetheless. I submitted unit 8 and my final essay the day after I received unit 7 back. 14 days passed. I contacted my tutor and she replied stating holidays/sickness had caused the delay. Fair enough it was the summer holidays. A month passed and I called. I was told everything was back to normal and they expected to be up to date within the week, two at the most. Two weeks passed and I began to call. No answer, emails unanswered. It was coming on here that I found out about Oxbridge facing administration. I am absolutely gutted and disgusted that we have had no communication and the fact that they are STILL signing people up and trying to take peoples money. My final essay and no idea if it will be marked/transferred- nothing and no idea who to turn to

My son was registered with Oxbridgehomelearning for his A-level biology in Dec 24.
We paid full instalments through Omniport.
He is supposed to take the exam in 2026.
We have been trying to contact the company fpr last more than 2 wks on their phone ( which keeps you hold for good 20mins and tells you to leave a message -which is never replied back)
nad by number of emails . But unfortunately there is no response .
we have been told by the finance company that company is closing down.
The website does not give any information.
we are left high and dry without any support .
Sorry for the story but If I could do minus reviews I would
I have never been more upset then what I am right now, I applied for a level 3 wedding planning diploma last September 2024 and everything was perfect I was flying through my modules with perfect scores I was the happiest I could ever be, things happened and I ended up paying £375 for a 6 month extension on the 26th August 2025, I sent off my work to be marked, 2 weeks go by and it still didn’t get returned to me which was odd because usually it would be a week max, so I emailed my tutor to see what was going on and I got a reply from a bot and still haven’t been replied from my tutor, ended up waiting another week when I thought maybe I missed an email or deleted it by mistake, so I go onto my portal and it has kicked me off the course, I rang for 3 days no answer, emailed no answer, used the online chat no answer so I am about £700 down absolutely disgusting
DO NOT GO TO OXBRIDGE FOR A LEVELS
DO NOT GO TO OXBRIDGE FOR A LEVELS. Oxbridge were very helpful until we paid them a huge fee. Since then my daughter has not heard from them. There has been no reply from the administrator or tutor for two months despite repeated attempts. Students are promised unlimited access to the tutor but my daughter has had unlimited silence. The topic lessons assume you are fluent from the beginning and there should be more support with language. Perhaps the e learning book has more language practice but my daughter wouldn’t know that yet since it never arrived.
No support and no response since paying
Since signing up (3 weeks ago) and paying for 3 A-level courses for my son, we still do not have tutor contacts and have had NO response to emails and NO response to messages left via the telephone contact. You are put on hold and then the call ends forcing you to leave a message and no one getting back. Once you get access to the portal all the information is out of date - UCAS applications deadlines are still referring to 2023. Shocking service once they have your money and playing with young peoples futures. I am starting to worry if this is a scam.
