Super fast and hassle-free refund!

I accidentally purchased an annual subscription instead of a monthly one. I contacted Paddle support, and their automated system processed my full refund and cancelled the subscription in just a few seconds. It was incredibly fast, hassle-free, and very easy. Excellent customer service!

Rejected after weeks of silence — no explanation, no appeal

I applied to Paddle on March 1, 2026 for my SaaS product a personal finance management app (financehealth.org). I provided all required documentation on March 13 after their request.
After 6 days of complete silence no status updates, no questions, no communication whatsoever I sent a follow-up email to their sellers support. The next day I received a generic rejection email stating they "cannot take on responsibility for the product categories associated with your domain."
No specific explanation of what was wrong. No opportunity to clarify or provide additional information. No appeal process. Just a final "no" after weeks of my time invested in their integration.
My app is a straightforward personal finance tracker budgeting, expense tracking, receipt scanning. There is nothing unusual, regulated, or high-risk about it. The rejection reason makes no sense and was never explained despite my request.
What frustrated me most:

Zero communication during the review period
Generic rejection with no actionable feedback
"Final decision, no appeal" for a simple SaaS finance tracker
I had already completed the full technical integration on my end, wasting significant development time

I moved to a competitor and was approved within 48 hours. If you're an indie developer or small SaaS founder, save yourself the time and frustration look elsewhere. Paddle's onboarding process is broken and their support is non-existent for small businesses.

The best Merchant of Record

We've been using Paddle as our payment processor for over a year. As a digital services company, we ran into a significant challenge with refund abuse — fraudulent buyers exploiting the refund process at scale. This is inherently tricky for any Merchant of Record to handle, since Paddle is legally the seller and has obligations on the buyer side too.

The issue took some time to resolve through standard support channels, but once it was escalated, the experience was outstanding. Paula, Andre, and Brendo went above and beyond to understand the problem, review our data, and work with their internal teams to implement a real solution — not just a band-aid. They set up a custom refund review process for our account, issued a fee credit, and are actively working on long-term fraud prevention improvements.

The level of attention and effort from their senior team was genuinely impressive. They listened, they took ownership, and they delivered. That's rare.

Paddle's product is excellent — checkout is smooth, tax compliance is handled, and the dashboard gives you everything you need. For any digital product seller dealing with complex edge cases, our advice is to not hesitate to escalate. The people behind Paddle truly care about getting it right.

UPDATE: Issue resolved

I am updating my previous review. Although it took some time and a few follow-ups, Paddle eventually reached out and resolved my dispute. They refunded the initial charge and cooperated with my bank regarding the other transactions. I appreciate the professional approach once the human support team took over. Thank you for making things right.

I am extremely disappointed with Paddle's support. It has been over 15 days since I contacted them regarding a refund for a subscription to "Learna Web", and I have received zero response.

I was charged three times (Total: $40.05) for a service I cannot even log into due to a typo in my email address during registration. I contacted the vendor (Learna) and Paddle multiple times to correct this and cancel the subscription, providing all necessary proof of payment.

Despite their automated message saying "one of our team will get back to you as soon as possible," they are completely ignoring my case. As the Merchant of Record, Paddle is responsible for this, but they choose to keep my money for a service they haven't provided.
