Forget customer service

Forget customer service, it's more like customer torture and harassment.
I have been a customer for over 20 years and recently their service has become a nightmare. More than 20 hours to respond to an urgent request with a canned message that provides no solutions whatsover. Let alone the random fees and charges, and they will not hesitate to take your account, emails and sites hostage if you contest the charges.

Website deleted from server without warning

I learn that one of my historical websites (youcantouch) was, "at some point" deleted from your servers, without my authorization and without any forewarning.

This is profoundly unprofessional and disappointing. I am shocked that you have shown so little respect for the decades I have been a faithful and loyal Pair customer.

I wrote in with connectivity issues

I wrote in with connectivity issues. The response postulated that it was because of heavy traffic or my IP address was blocked by Pair's security software. In fact, I checked later and the server had been rebooted; I was trying to connect around the downtime.

08:18:20 up 8 days, 11:34, 1 user, load average: 2.90, 2.95, 3.17

While the response was polite and gave me info about the heavy traffic, I would've appreciated knowing that the server had been down.

Not a huge deal, but just letting you know I prefer complete information.

Pair service is brilliant

Not much to say. They are brilliant. I've been with Pair and PairNIC since 2000.
They always answer politely to any questions, even the stupid ones.
As I downgraded, they offered me a cheaper web hosting solution.
Happy customer here.

I have been w/ pair Networks since 1996, helping many different clients to host their sites. In this case, as usual, support service was excellent, and pair Dedicated Support helped us configure our VPS email to the client's requirements.

Our Website was infected with Malware…

Our Website was infected with Malware and was shut down by Pair on Friday the 23rd. We were not given specific instructions on how to remedy the situation. Paid Pair to clean the website, update the Wordpress and get the website back up and as of January 29th we are still down. Our customers rely on that website to access the Bank's internet banking platform.

They shut down my website without…

They shut down my website without warning! I have been a customer for more than 20 years. A courtesy email or phone call would have been sufficient to resolve a $20 outstanding balance. One more thing- I haven’t complained about this before, but the service has deteriorated over time. The websites are down or slow more than usual for no apparent reason and pair communicates way too late about downtime. It’s time to move my websites to another hosting provider. And before i forget— they now charge for email functionality on every hosting plan. Why would anyone pay for a hosting plan and not get email with it?

My urgent request was routed to…

My urgent request was routed to standard support because it was not considered urgent. After more than 25 years with Pair, this was disappointing.

Even then, Ivan did not address my actual questions. Instead, he explained what he believed the problem was, without initiating the adjustments I explicitly requested. As a result, the response was ineffective, and the situation remained unresolved.
