Will not be signing up for an FSA…
Will not be signing up for an FSA account again. I never received my card and it is very hard to get ahold of anyone. This is utterly ridiculous. I have copays I was going to use this for and now I cannot even access my money.
Fees are ridiculous
Why would someone pay so much money for this payroll service when most accounting software does all your tax filings for you for a minimal fee and I know for a fact I could do payroll for a fraction of what they charge.
This is a HORRIBLE Payroll/HR Solution
This is a HORRIBLE Payroll/HR solution. Their systems are buggy and they never answer the phone. I have been on hold for hours every time I try to reach them. Their FSA interface is horrendous. Claims and receipts disappear, claims are constantly rejected requiring getting receipts multiple times until they meet their criteria and claims are denied with no explanation whatsoever. To find out, you have to call and wait on hold for hours. And, there is no way to reach anyone except by calling one phone number. I will never work for anyone who uses them again.
Nothing works
Nothing works. I've reset my password three times and it still won't verify it. Ergo leaving me unable to get to my tax forms. I can forgive everything else but once you make it impossible for me to get to my tax forms it's a wrap. Awful system and the creators ought to be deeply ashamed. Worst system ever.
1.) HORRIBLE..!!If you call customer…
1.) HORRIBLE..!!If you call customer service number..AI, cannot talk to anyone or leave a message..
2.) It takes too long to get money requested, "Daily Pay" is much Better.
3.) God forbid, it's a holiday & you requested money prior ..you will not receive it..Wait another day til evening.
No pay on payday!
My company transitioned to them. Thursday morning , payday, we all expected our money to go straight to our bank. Nobody’s did. No physical paycheck either. Then they said they had mailed paychecks out and we would receive them in the mail the next day, Friday. No check. Nothing Saturday either. And added headache - it’s a three day weekend so at the earliest I’ll get my paper paycheck 5 days after payday!! What a mess. Some of my coworkers bounced checks because they were expecting to be paid on time and autopay tried to take money out they didn’t have. Now they have bounced check fees.
This company is off to a terrible start. They need to get their act together fast.
This company lies to your employer…
This company lies to your employer about the ease of their FSA card program. This is the first year my employer switched from our previous FSA provider to Paylocity. I had a transaction that was needing a receipt for records. I uploaded the receipt and a few days later they are requesting an additional receipt. They do not specify that they are needing an itemized report or EOB, it just says “additional receipt”, so I provide them another receipt thinking it may not have been legible. Apparently since the receipt did not have the date of transaction (my fault I thought I provided the entire receipt and I did not), they deny the claim and lock my card without warning until AFTER the fact via email. When calling them to find out why my card was locked, I waited an hour and a half to speak to a representative, and he explains that the card was locked and will be unlocked after my payment goes through. Then he proceeds to tell me that ANOTHER one of my receipts was not sufficient enough because it was the slip that came from the doctor’s office for a copay. This has always been what I have provided to other FSA cards and have never been questioned for an itemized receipt. It has my name, the doctor, the date of service, the card used, and the amount tendered. But since it does not say what my visit/charge was, it just says debit, they are wanting an itemized statement that has diagnosis codes which I feel is none of their business, or an EOB, which again has diagnosis codes that I feel is none of their business to show that the transaction is for a doctors office copay.
They then tell my employer that they give the employee 2 weeks to provide them what they need before they resort to locking the card, which is not true at all. The claim that locked my card was processed on 01/04, the additional receipt request was on 01/08, and the notification that my card was suspended was sent on 01/11. That’s not 2 weeks. If we need to provide EOB’s and Itemized statements there’s a strong possibility that you are not going to be able to provide that within 2 weeks as it’s at the discretion of your medical insurance and how quickly they process their claims.
This is now telling me that I’m not going to be able to use this card at my doctors office because that is what is provided to me at time of service, and they won’t give me appropriate time to respond before locking my card.
Stop lying to employers about the ease of your services, and stop lying to employees that you give enough notice and time to respond before locking their cards because you don’t
Paylocity has to be the worst payroll…
Paylocity has to be the worst payroll website our company could find. Maybe they are punishing us for something we did. Its not only confusing to use, its slow and keeps kicking me out and I have a phone , laptop and PC. Trying to get the simplest info its making me go through so much I gave up trying. 99% of us drivers hate it. I would give it 0 stars if I could
Absolutely horrible company
Absolutely horrible company. From implementation to termination of services within six months, they are incompetent from beginning to end. No one can answer questions clearly. They can’t even input your information correctly in their system. From phone number to account number they get it wrong. And don’t hold your breath for them to take accountability for their errors, they will dodge any questions and never respond, including the sales rep who promises they will be there for any questions. There’s a reason they have 1.3 stars.
Worthless. Completely.
After over a year of use, have to say that Paylocity is one of the worst options. Do your research, avoid Paylocity!
Their customer service is always a negative experience, they take days or weeks to do anything, their system crashes or errors out at random, and it's a pain to put anything into it. Don't use Paylocity!
I wish there was a minus 1 for this…
I wish there was a minus 1 for this company I could give them!
Their customer service sucks.
They've lied to me so maybe times.
Errors are a huge problem with this company.
Don't use them for your payroll.
RUN!!!!
Dumpster Fire of a Company
Paylocity declines every attempt to use the card for relevant expenses, like the FSA store or for a medical bill. They will do anything to hold on to your money vs. enabling you to use it for medical costs. Their customer service is nonexistent.
Paylocity is using my email without my…
Paylocity is using my email without my permission!!!! I am NOT an employee of Paylocity nor an employee of a company who uses Paylocity. I have tried emailing them and receive a message saying I do not have a valid company #. This would be because I should NOT be in their systems. I have called several times
But there are NO options for help. There is no voice mail. I receive emails every month about my timesheet. There seems to be no way to stop this!!!’ Really lousy company policy and contact options!
1 year 5 account managers still having issues
A year in to our relationship and couldn't be more disappointed. First off our account manager dropped us after 4 months saying he would be with us the whole way. He is still at the company just not servicing our account so nice bait and switch there.
They told us a bunch of things during our implementation that were not true. We even caught them pretty clearly in a lie and they tried to gaslight us saying "I know it is confusing but that was not the intent" even though it was said extremely plainly. They ended up giving us a discount for the pricing discrepancy but kept saying they were not admitting they were actually incorrect.
Had to take tax payments away from them on the first payroll because they handled it wrong.
You never get your actual account manager when you call support it is always some random and you have to pray they are helpful (about 10% of them are). Today the agent on the phone told me I should not change the settings for employee account permissions because it doesn't actually work and will create problems and that I should instead reach out to the security team as they cannot change the settings. The security team has a response time of 3-5 business days..... Now my employee cannot run payroll till they get back to us.
Every time you ask them about something "oh they just told us that is how it is set up and we cannot change it". $15k a year to just have nothing work
Paylocity is one of the worst payroll…
Paylocity is one of the worst payroll platforms I have ever used. I constantly run into login issues—my credentials are frequently marked as invalid, forcing me to reset my password repeatedly for no legitimate reason.
Managing direct deposit is especially frustrating. Adding or removing bank accounts is a poor and overly complicated experience that feels unnecessarily difficult.
I have previously used ADP and Rippling and never encountered these kinds of issues. Both platforms are far more reliable and user-friendly. Unfortunately, Paylocity falls short in usability and overall user experience, and I would not recommend it.
Misrepresented Migration Process — Constant Issues and Zero Accountability
Our migration to Paylocity was nowhere near the “seamless and flawless” experience we were promised. During the sales process, the team repeatedly bragged about their migration success rates and emphasized that they were experts with the exact version of ADP we were using. In reality, the transition was one of the most error-ridden implementations I’ve dealt with in my career.
Major issues included:
• Incorrect W-4 and tax election data transferring into Paylocity, causing wrong federal withholding, OASDI, and Medicare for multiple employees.
• Backend changes being made without our knowledge after we completed reconciliations — including a period where we were locked out of our own system while changes were happening.
• 401(k) integration still not connected two payrolls later, despite repeated assurances that this would be simple, fast, and routine.
• Inconsistent and shifting explanations — when we asked why the migration was so flawed, the answer we received was that our “ADP version was the problem,” even though the sales team assured us they were experts with that exact ADP configuration.
• Hours of unnecessary manual auditing, because the system did not port data cleanly as promised.
This migration was the opposite of what we were sold. The sales pitch emphasized smoothness, expertise, and accuracy; the actual experience involved constant issues, poor visibility, shifting blame, and significant operational risk.
We received a small credit, but it did not come close to covering the time and disruption this caused.
If you value accuracy, transparency, and a genuinely reliable implementation, I strongly recommend considering other payroll providers.
Their expense reporting is hard to use…
Their expense reporting is hard to use and they recently removed a feature that now means I spend HOURS more on adding expenses to my report. They used to have a feature to sync your credit card expenses, but they let it sunset in April, so now EVERYTHING has to be added manually. It's the WORST!
I had about 60 payroll accounts with…
I had about 60 payroll accounts with Paylocity. The average error rate on my quarterly reports was about 30%. Not acceptable. I moved me accounts 2 years ago. I now have an old tax case, I need proof of payment to the state and Paylocity refuses to send me proof. My client now has thousands in dollars in fines, and still Paylocity refuses to assist in showing what was paid. Terrible service and Terrible account for taxes.
Avoid at all costs
As an employer who uses Paylocity for payroll, every time something goes wrong, which is often, we get bad instructions to correct the issue. The majority of the time we get someone new who isn't properly trained. There are 500+ different departments and none of them communicate with each other. Further complicating the matter, we never have a qualified dedicated rep assigned to us so you never get consistent service. Even if we attempt to work with a supervisor, when we email them, 90% of the time we get an auto-response saying they're away at training programs. We have 5 companies, don't you think we'd have a qualified dedicated rep? Avoid this company at all costs.
Paylocity changed their platform…
Paylocity changed their platform format. Paylocity doesn't offer end-user (employees who are forced to use this system) assistance on how to navigate their platform. Paylocity is only interested in selling their product and not explaining how to use it. This format is a joke! If an employer is looking to piss off their employees and wants to learn how to navigate and show their employees how to operate it (again, Paylocity doesn't offer end user support) then please feel free to waste your company resources! You've been warned!!!
