Unprofessional unrealistic unrealible!!

Paypal didn't look into my case properly despite giving proof of screenshots that I didn't received the item from the seller!
Showing as delivered.

No proof of delivery or signed for or photo's, neither tracking number my end to track.

Seller was a suspicious and fake using fake tracking pattern and fake delivery scan with 0 reviews and believed him and closed my case within 4 days of submission.

I appealed and reopend my case, now wait and see what happens?

I will have to think twice now if I want to use this careless unprofessional company! Especially being unwell and had to go throught the hassle, frustration 😤 unconvience instead of resting up!

Today I'm saying goodbye to PayPal

Today I'm saying goodbye to PayPal. I used 3Pay, the money disappeared, the purchase didn't go through, and when I tried to contact customer service, I received no response or way to contact them. It's a waste of time because I have to go to the bank, wait for a refund, and buy again, but this time without PayPal. Goodbye, unprofessionalism.

I never received an order from China…

I never received an order from China and even though they sent a fake tracking app that said it was delivered to my mailbox. I even went to our Post Office. Because the seller message me to have our post office track the package. The postmaster asked if I had been in previously with that tracking number to which I answered no. He said, this is the second time he's been asked to check a tracking number like the one I brought in and they are not legitimate tracking numbers they are fake! So because paypal saw in the fake tracking app that the package had been delivered, they denied my claim. After the fact, I checked and paypal does not have a real person reading all the back and forth between seller and buyer.They use a bot chat, and the claims always get refused if china shows a fake tracking app that shows the package has been delivered. You will never win the case if you ordered something from china, they are the biggest ripoff ever and paypal supports that. I filed a claim with my credit card company and they refunded my money within five minutes no questions asked, they believed that I never received my package. I'm only sorry that I couldn't give them a negative 5 stars, because PayPal sucks. I closed my account with Paypal and I will never again use a payment app. I will use my credit card so that I will always get my money back when there is a dispute for packages that never arrived. Do not use PayPal because they will not protect you. They will always side with the seller even the deceptive sellers, which are mostly chinese companies.

Terrible service

Terrible service, honestly. Closed my account without a reason. I created another account and have been trying to add money to the app, but I keep getting errors. Really a terrible service.

Within years it's getting worse only

First of all. Complete crap. Transaction updates and money transfers delaying up to week, what incredibly makes life and money management harder. Secondary, my wife made a purchase from China for some items. After her detailed analysis she requested proof of authenticiy. As they failed to provide it, she requested for return. As seller wasn't cooperative she opened case on PayPal, provided her evidence why she want to return and PayPal still make it in a selle's favor. Without proper investigation. Seems that they are using stupid AI for this. Avoid it. There are plenty of others to choose from.

So I have been using PayPal for years…

So I have been using PayPal for years now until now. I sent a woman 1,212,60 for a puppy using PayPal and using my own money from my bank. I changed my mind and requested a refund which she did. I then resent her the money by mistake thinking it was going to me so I requested my money back again and PayPal put me into having a negative balance of 1.212.62. Huh?? when I pay for something through PayPal that money comes from my bank, not them! So now they have me at a negative amount. They have scammed me when I have always used money to pay for things from my bank..not a credit from them or had Paypal fund it for me! Never again will I use PayPal..it is a fraud!!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company; use Wise instead. PayPal will illegally withhold your money for up to 180 days with no solid reason.

Please be aware of how PayPal operates now.

After being transferred to a different ‘specialist’ 7, yes seven times. The last man was very helpful, finally.

The kicker was, each time the AI answer assistant said, ‘hold the line’ for a customer service survey at the conclusion of your call. Never happened.

So, here I am saying service was very poor. I gave it 1 🤩, because I was better off with a helpless person than a useless SI Bot.🤖🤖

Paypal's customer protection is a joke

A seller sold me a used code on G2A (yeah, I know now that site is to be avoided at all costs) and asked me (additionnaly to the obvious error message and proof from my purchase history that I didn't use it) proof from Steam support showing that the code had been used before I bought it. Steam never provides such information (they refused categorically twice, even when explained why).
I entered a reclamation in Paypal but Paypal refused it on the grounds that the description of the product was not incorrect.
Welll, I really have been sold a code, I guess. I suppose that for it to be functional was just optional.

There was no other communication or any way to reply.

Do not trust this platform with multiple linked cards. I used my credit card for a major transaction to get a weekend discount. Because my bank briefly flagged it for security, PayPal immediately went behind my back and pulled more than £1,000 out of a completely different account. They didn't notify me or ask for authorization; I only found out two days later when my bank messaged me saying I was severely overdrawn. When I called PayPal, they arrogantly stated it was their 'right' to do this if a card is declined. Bypassing a customer's explicitly chosen payment method to force an overdraft is predatory. Unacceptable behavior.

Don't trust PayPal

Don't trust PayPal. I uploaded cash from Walmart to my card and PayPal says it's system is upgrading therefore they have no idea where my money's at and they're not sure when or if I'll get my money back. $145 deposit just went missing cuz they're doing a system upgrade. Sounds like bull crap to me.

Don't lose your mobile and normal laptop - your account will then be in assessible

I've recently lost my mobile and laptop so cannot access my PayPal account in the usual way. I'd normally just login with my email address and password - simple. But now having to use another laptop I'm stuck because after inputting these details all I get is another screen 'Is it really you' - guess what, this want to send a pass code to my mobile! No good as I don't have it. Called customer services where a thick Asian accent and background noise made for a difficult 20 minutes. After this time no solution was offered that did not compropmise my wife's PayPal account. Unlike AMEX they refused to send a pass code to my registered email account - this would have solved my problem but no. Useless!

I received an item which was broken…

I received an item which was broken into many pieces. Paypal refunded me then reversed the refund for no reason. This proved to me that they cannot be trusted.
So, when I buy through paypal I must from now on expect to lose my money if items don't arrive or arrive in pieces.One more thing paypal send messages on tneir website you are unable to reply to.

What a joke! This is the worst banking experience! They can't do anything right.
I transferred $600 from my bank to PayPal & 6 days later, I still don't have access toY money!
Never again will I use this shoddy excuse for internet payments!

old technology that isn't catching up.

there is no reason at all why you should use this ancient trash technology called PayPal when there is already so much better faster and cheaper services out there, here is my experience with PayPal through more then 5 years.

1- they randomly decide to hold your withdrawals for at least 4 work days and up to 30 work days.

2- they dont have customer support at all, there is no one to reach if you have issues or if your pending withdrawal took longer then the supposed time.

3- they have minimum amount for withdrawal, so if you by mistake left some amount in your account its stuck there for ever.

4- you cant convert for and from all currencies, like you can convert from currency to other but cant convert back to the old currency.

5- extremally expansive fees for any transaction or to convert currency.

6- you can only withdrawal to bank accounts and nothing else, other services like wise can withdrawal to prepaid and anything.

the only reason i use PayPal is when i get old customers who refuse to use anything for transactions other then PayPal, and am currently waiting for a withdraw that was pending to be paid after 72 hours starting on 12th june and today is 17th june and its still pending with no updates and no help form anyone.

the people responsible for this app got the blessing of massive user base already built over the years, but they dont know how to use this base and they are wasting them and losing them day after day to the other better apps.

an update: now they telling me they will hold the money for up to 21 days because i earned more then 300usd in one month, there was no warning about this limit before i start the withdrawal, its a struggle to withdraw a small amount of money or large amount of money on this shit.

Paypal changes your address without telling you.

I clicked pay with PayPal, that was a huge mistake!

I purchased an item through a merchant, confirmed all shipping details. clicked pay with paypal. Paypay then defaulted to an old address I'd used 18 months ago, never prompted or checked the address. Never told me they would give the merchant the new address.
When I contacted PayPal 10 mins after the transaction they said bad luck, not our problem.

I have a screen shot of the chat I'd love to share confirming all this when I sought help from PayPal.

I have been using Paypal for years…

I have been using Paypal for years however in 2025 it begin to behave differently. I started getting more unauthorized charges and I could barely make purchases. So today it came to head. I contacted them about another unauthorized transaction. And I told them I wanted to cancel my account. They refused and wouldn't let me talk to a human. I tried for 30mins going round and round and it was refused over and over. Im going to contact the ftc and see what next. They are horrible and I would never deal wih them again.
