Inhuman Company

I am writing as a customer to raise a serious concern regarding reports and posts I have seen, including on LinkedIn, suggesting that employees may have been dismissed or penalised for expressing humanitarian views, including opposition to war and support for the rights and safety of people in Palestine, Congo, and other affected nations and communities.
As a customer, this does not sit well with me.
I believe that humanity must come before commercial relationships. I do not wish to support, receive services from, or remain connected to a company whose actions appear to conflict with basic humanitarian values, freedom of conscience, and the right of people to express peaceful concern about war, suffering, and injustice outside the workplace.
To be clear, my concern is not about party politics. It is about the principle that people should not be punished for saying no to war or for showing peaceful support for vulnerable people and communities experiencing conflict, displacement, or oppression.
Unless PAYPAL.com can clearly demonstrate that these concerns are inaccurate, or explain what steps are being taken to protect employees’ rights to hold and express lawful humanitarian views, I will have to reconsider my position as a customer and any future use of PayPal's services. PayPal is anti-palestine I find that unsettling and disgraceful.
Humanity comes first. Commercial convenience comes second.

Terrible terrible company

Terrible terrible company. Just takes money even if the website crashes before checkout is complete. When charges are disputed, the horrible “ai” just says “this charge can’t be disputed” and nothing else

Complaint about PayPal’s unjustified decision in favor of the seller

I purchased a key for a Google AI subscription, but I was unable to redeem it because the website stated that the key had already been used. This means the product provided was invalid and unusable.

Despite this, PayPal decided in favor of the seller without providing a clear, detailed, or reasonable explanation based on the evidence submitted. This is extremely frustrating, especially because the seller pressured me to close the dispute in order to “resolve” the issue, and after I did so in good faith, they simply stopped replying.

As a result, I was left without a working product, without a replacement, and without a refund. Even so, PayPal chose to protect the seller, ignoring behavior that appears clearly suspicious and harmful to the buyer.

I find it unacceptable that a platform claiming to offer buyer protection repeatedly decides in favor of sellers without properly explaining the criteria used, without fairly assessing the evidence provided, and without ensuring a just resolution.

I request that this decision be reviewed by a responsible person, with a proper assessment of the evidence submitted, including proof that the key had already been redeemed and that the seller stopped replying after convincing me to close the dispute.

I also request a concrete explanation of why PayPal decided in favor of the seller, despite the fact that I did not receive a functional product or any alternative solution.

Abysmal non existent customer service…

Abysmal non existent customer service as always from Paypal, I returned itemspaid for by Paypal to Massimo Dutti and tracked online they had been received, seller ignored all of my emails and messages so I rang Paypal who opened a case on my behalf stating "items were not as described" which is NOT what I said, this case has dragged on for over a month only to be closed in sellers favour as items not found to be not as described???, in the intervening time the seller rang to tell me to close the case and they would issue the refund, rang Paypal who told me NOT to close they case and now they close the case in sellers favour, rang and spoke to the most condescending and patronising adviser, a term I use in its most loosest sense, who talked and talked about how I had no right to expect them to help me when I had not taken pictures of the items that I had returned a month before I had actually even contacted them, why would I????, utter utter rubbish.

No buyer protection.

I thought paying through PayPal would afford me some sort of protection.
But no I was wrong.
Bought made to measure blinds paid using PayPal.
One of the blinds was made bigger than measurements given.
Had trouble with company getting a replacement as their error.
So went to paypal for help.
But despite showing PayPal copy of my order and a photo showing my blind along side a tape measure to prove blind wrong size, PayPal found in favour of seller as " it's was a similar item to what I ordered."
Well similar does not fit if not the correct size !!!
The only reason I used paypal was for buyer protection, not anymore
So let down
Will stick toy credit card .

No longer protecting you, but have gone to the dark side!

I used to think they were cool for basic protection in this wild wild west era of internet sales. I didn't have it for a while after a bad experience on ebay, and recently tried it again, only to find that customer service next to nil and now they're in bed with the biggest scammers on the net!

Literally, now they have the top ten shady sites using THEM to make it ALL LEGAL-ISH... I mean, wow! You used to have a prayer of a chance to get out of a predatory site's clutches, but now they're literally operating in the same Grey area.

I look for them to be dismantled when an honest administration gets in office. Don't think for a moment they're making it safe anymore. Unless you're a shady corporation operating without a physical address, they're not there for you! Those days are over. The dark side came calling, and made them an offer too rich to turn down.

Creative Fabrica was my wake-up call. The shadiest company out there that I've found, but operating with impunity under the protective banner of PayPal. Well, now we know who's pal they are!

I found the creative fabrica photo-editing as sub par, or more accurately bait and switch, so I opted out before the 30 day trial, only to find i had been charged for a FULL YEAR within minutes. When I filed a claim, they blocked me from the site. I showed them the 30 day trial guarantee and that they charged me for a year and then blocked me. They said "all fine", claim denied. They didn't get this rating for nothing! Be aware, their tentacles are in lots of places. venmo... etc.

Garbage service

The worst, least caring company you can deal with. They’ve charged me for a Google transaction I didn’t make and can prove it. Entered all information as requested and was rejected/closed the same day. App says you can click resolutions centre and resolve but there’s no link. You’re sent around in circles and there’s no way to contact anyone. They do this on purpose so you lose motivation and stop trying. Google are just as unhelpful. Garbage companies that only care about one thing.

Paypal is NOT your Pal

I am an 81 year old retired professional. I recently saw an ad for a purse (cross body bag) on Facebook. The company had a name that suggested it was in the USA. I was getting ready for a trip to Italy and purchased the bag six weeks before my trip in April. I paid with Paypal. The bag did not arrive before my trip. In fact it never arrived. It is now two months after my trip and no bag. I filed a request with Paypal for assistance after the USPS routing number proved to be fraudulent and the company is in located in China. Paypal said they would help but in the end they sided with the merchant who said the bag was delivered. I contacted customer service at PayPal and the only way you get help is through a terrible chat feature. The representative asked me to prove that the USPS tracking number was fraudulent. I told the rep to enter the tracking number and see. The rep did so and agreed the tracking number was fraudulent. She/He said they would reopen the case and I would get a refund at the end of April. I checked at the end of April and again Paypal sided with the Chinese merchant. I have closed my Paypal account and would recommend you do not rely on them to your be your advocate. I am out $60.00 for a bag that should have cost $35 since the merchant added all kinds of bogus fees to the cost. They have an American sounding name but when you try to deal with them they answer in Chinese characters. Believe me Paypal is not your pal. Worst company I've ever dealt with.

Paypal is not a good service to use

Paypal is not a good service to use. They offer up some bullshit excuse and keep your money. There is nothing you can do about it either. In my opinion this is just a scam !!
They don't give you any options, they just freeze your account and tell you to piss off. USERS BEWARE, they will screw you over !! Find a different way.

Bad customer service

Bad customer service. I had to wait over 2 hours even though the system showed that an agent had joined the conversation, but no one responded.

I’m also having ongoing issues linking my bank card. I keep getting this error:
"We couldn’t confirm your info. Your card is still linked to your PayPal account, but you can’t use it for purchases until you confirm that you’re the owner."

When I try to get help, no one responds for a long time, and then after waiting, the agent replies late. If I don’t respond within 2 minutes, they close the chat immediately.

Very frustrating experience and no real support provided.

Monies not transferred from PayPal to my bank account for the last 5 months

Recently and for many days I have been trying to find a specific payment that did not make it to my bank. I keep getting weird reasons as to why they cannot check into it, like, "not logged in when sending the email". I made a phone call, several minutes long and expensive, to inquire into that specific payment.
Actually, from November 2025 I have not seen any PayPal monies into my bank account. I do not know what is happening and why my money is not being transferred, and I get zero Customer service.
I would expect the case to be resolved soon since my last phone call, but no, and no email informing me of the progress of my inquiries.

After nearly 20 years of using PayPal…

After nearly 20 years of using PayPal for the first time I had to use PayPal Purchase "Protection"because a seller shipped only half or what I ordered.

Seller then offered me only 50% refund if I would return the item. Somehow PayPal thought that was a reasonable offer.

There was no way in the "Protection" process to decline this stupid offer. I could only accept it or do nothing. I wrote PayPal that the offer made no sense and I would not return something for half a refund, but to no avail. Case was closed and ruled in favor of seller.

I am pretty sure no human was involved on PayPal's side.

PayPal Purchase Protection is a farce.

PayPal charges for USD-USD transactions

PayPal is officially the scum of the earth. I am trying to move my own hard-earned money from my balance to my Chase account, and these bastards are trying to skim 3% off the top just for an "Instant Transfer". This is a domestic USD to USD transfer with no currency conversion involved and no international complications. This is a massive fee for a basic digital service. People often need access to funds quickly, and pricing a service this way feels extremely exploitative. Moving from a lower percentage to 3% is an unacceptable increase. Holding funds and charging high "convenience" fees is frustrating for any user. There are other options like Zelle or bank-to-bank transfers that do not impose such heavy costs. This business model seems focused on maximizing fees rather than providing a fair service to users.

Creepy KYC Requirements

Indians are forced to do video KYC according to RBI's rule but they never mentioned video to be the mandatory method. I heard about people getting their data leaked and scammed regarding fake loan payments to the point that they actually visited the victim's house just to continue the harassment and that poor soul ended up calling police (which didn't really help).

I personally do freelancing for pocket money and career building plus I barely earn anything but am forced into a video KYC as if I'm a multi billion dollar company.

This is disgusting and racist of these foreign apps to exploit Indians like this and use our data for AI training and other shady businesses.

Plus they seem to make you do multiple video KYCs for no reason other than to gather more data.

Thank you PayPal for crushing a person's dream, I'll go back to living my poor, miserable life.

Does not protect customers

I am honestly surprised that the rating is even over 1. They do not protect consumers they protect predatory sellers. I filed a fraud complaint sine I used PayPal as an expected extra layer of protection. Within a day, they responded that it was a proper charge. I presented the same information to my back directly. They investigated for several days and confirmed that this was fraud. If I accepted PayPal's intant, non-investigation statement, this company would probably still be taking hundreds from me. I am lucky that my bank actually takes their client's protect seriously.
