I would like to take the opportunity to thank Alisha Chapman and Miles forsdike from pcs legal, As we were first time buyers the whole buying process was scary thought for us, but they were absolutely amazing.
They spoak though the whole process and took the time to listen to all our inquiries no matter how small it was. If anyone is looking at buying a home I would highly recommend them! From start to finish they have been fantastic and I cant help thank them enough 5* from me.

PCS Legal handled my purchase professionally and kept matters moving throughout the transaction. Communication was generally good, and the team were helpful when queries arose.
The only area I found challenging was the onboarding and compliance process. There was a considerable amount of paperwork, identity verification, forms, and supporting documentation required. To be fair, I don't believe this is a fault of PCS Legal themselves. My impression is that much of it is driven by regulatory and compliance requirements that law firms in England are obliged to follow.
That said, the process can feel quite bureaucratic from a client's perspective, and there may be opportunities for the wider legal industry to simplify and modernise some of these requirements.
One practical improvement would be document management. Throughout the transaction, many separate emails and attachments were sent containing documents such as the lease, contracts, reports, financial information and other paperwork. It would be much easier if clients could access everything through a single secure online portal or shared document hub, rather than searching through numerous emails to find a specific document later.
Overall, I was satisfied with the service provided by PCS Legal and would use them again, while hoping that future technology and industry changes make the process simpler for clients.

Molly and her team was there every step of the way to assist me in the buying process! Really helpful and kept me updated as the process progressed. I have moved in and she is still on hand to answer all my questions. Thank you so much!!

The service provided from PCS legal was in comparison to other solicitors I have used very good. Communication was fairly prompt and concerns addressed within a good time frame. My only issue was the portal not being updated along the way and constantly asking for updates as unsure where in the process I was at some stages not all. Overall I would recommend using PCS legal Basildon.

The Ongar team at PCS were so helpful in helping me purchase my first home - they were very easy to contact and always swift with responses and getting things done behind the scenes. Managed to get through a same day exchange and completion for me, due to their diligent chasing of the other side, and kept me posted throughout.

I cannot recommend Liam highly enough. He handled the purchase of my new home and is currently assisting with the sale of my existing property, and throughout the entire process he has been absolutely outstanding.

After a previous house sale had fallen through we were apprehensive about using another online conveyancing service. From the start though communication was quick and questions were answered promptly. Emails responded to in a timely manner and it was possible to actually phone up and speak to someone - totally different from the previous experience and a breath of fresh air in terms of good customer service.

Pcs legal are the worst solicitors imhavecever dealt with. The most stressful situation ever. Completely incompetent. Never make contact. Never take calls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.

Mr Marler was polite, knowledgeable and most importantly accessible when needed. I would use Mr Marler again upon the purchase of another property.

I chose PCS for a leasehold purchase having read they specialised in such. From the start I found their communication and hap hazard approach frustrating. I began to receive weekly calls from the seller’s estate agent asking me to chase PCS, which was both embarrassing and stressful. I was calling PCS at least once a week to chase or correct details. There was no consistency of who to talk to in the team and my solicitor only spoke to me once, and that was 2 days before the planned completion date having taken so long to review the pack that an exchange date was deemed unnecessary, to tell me the purchase couldn’t go ahead because the name on the title deeds didn’t match other documents. It took about 6 weeks to notice that! As I was selling in Scotland and buying in England this meant I was made homeless and ended up putting all my belongings in storage and staying with relatives. Despite being leasehold specialists I had to chase the Leasehold and property management companies to get the appropriate documents myself. And even after I'd moved the Leasehold company was unaware of my purchase until I informed them months later. PCS never accepted any responsibility and even argued when I informed them that I was not liable for second home stamp duty on the final statement, so I adjusted the figures myself before transferring the final settlement. I have only just received my title deeds some 16 months after moving in, and PCS have now blamed the Property Management company for the delay. Despite me calling several times to check, I was never told what was causing the delay.

For all the stress and extra costs PCS have caused me I urge you not to select them for your conveyancing.

Our sale took over 8 months to complete due mainly to lack of follow up by Sarah Joy and her team. Gorst example - they promised us they were chasing the managing agents frequently, but after a month admitted they hadn't spoken to anyone and the phone number "they were calling to leave voicemails" was actually not even in service! The buyer's lawyers said they struggled to contact PCS, and we filed a formal internal complaint with PCS about our case and got a complete whitewash. We will now report them externally.

We have just completed the sale of a leasehold flat.
