Judgemental ragged service from a…

Judgemental ragged service from a founding partner in this business. We came to view a house and were treated with disdain. An attitude of “you can’t afford this property” was all encompassing. No pleasantries no query about when we could move in, only arrogance and attitude. We’re all busy but civility costs zero! At least show some manners.
We had travelled from London, had a years rent in advance and were prepared to ask the agents to find us a house to buy in the area.
Ha! Not anymore.
Rot from the top in an arrogant and unprofessional encounter. If I could award no stars I would as this is a place to avoid.

Hi Ann, sorry you felt the need to write such a review, I will investigate this matter on your behalf, but just to be clear, you didn't meet a founding partner of this firm, Michael Pearson (no relation), mainly works for us in our Commercial Business and was assisting this weekend, once we have his version of events I will refer back to you. Regards Julian Ferrier

Michaels response below....

Dear Ann

I have been made aware of your comment, I am Michael Pearson, I work predominantly in Commercial and whilst I share the surname of one of the founding partners we are not related, it was I who carried out the viewing with you on Saturday. Firstly let me apologise if you thought in anyway the service I gave you was not to the standard you excepted. I am very disappointed you felt this way, in over 15 years in this industry and the last few years with Pearson Ferrier, I have tried to build long lasting relationships with all my clients including tenants, purchasers and Landlords.
I would be more than happy to discuss this with you as I will always look at ways to improve the service I give, you can contact me at the Bury Office.

I passed an Application With Pearson…

I passed an Application With Pearson ferrier they accepted my application for a property they had listed I paid the deposit and was told to collect the keys from them. I was then told later that day that they wasn’t going ahead with the tenancy proceedings after passing there application and paying the deposit they asked for. Due to reasons they couldn’t provide to me in writing email or over the phone after a numerous of times I asked what was the reason all of a sudden it is pathetic as an estate agents. The information that Pearson ferrier received was slanderous and false information and couldn’t provide me with any of this evidence after passing there application and was ready to collect the keys for the property From there office in ramsbotttom , they was rude offered to give me my deposit back and the owner of the company Julian ferrier sent me and my current landlord quite an imitating email when I all I’m doing is trying to provide a home for myself Family and new Born baby And The owner of the company Julian ferrier putting personal false information about my self on a Public domain is shocking and disgusting and his attitude towards me just to defend his business reviews! I was ready to move in my landlord didn’t disclose any false information Otherwise you wouldn’t of accepted the application from the start

As per my original reply on your now deleted first review, we have the right to turn down tenancy applications. Having trading in the town for nearly 25 years I have a reasonable amount of experience in lettings. If we receive information that a tenants conduct is not what we would consider acceptable, or if we feel information provided by a 3rd party, a current landlord for example is not disclosing full information, we DO NOT have to accept someone as a tenant. As per my previous email, I wish you well with your search. We receive disparaging reviews from disgruntled current and former tenants from time to time, but as this information is in the public domain it allows prospective landlords or anyone for that matter to make a view of their own.

Excessive agency fee charges.

During my tenancy with Pearson Ferrier I was charged various extortionate agency fees. I found the fees very excessive in their application, especially compared to other estate agents I've used. All of the fees were for simplistic tasks that don't cost very much. Or that take little effort to complete (e.g. renewing a contract—£50).

Since I ended my contract with Pearson Ferrier, agency fees are now rightfully banned under the Tenant Fees Act 2019. This clearly indicates what the charges stood for and that they should not have been in use across the UK.

It was unrealistic for the industry to run agency fees with the expectation tenants would accept them without complaint. Agency fees were seemingly created to exploit the housing crisis and those locked out of homeownership, forcing tenants to either pay the excessive charges or not move into a property.

In Ireland and Scotland, since similar bans came into effect, tenants can claim a full refund on all agency fee charges. This option isn't available in England. Yet.

ZAC NABI was threating our family when he came to our door when hè took a picture of my Son and discriminate against me!!! I reported this to the Police aswell the harrassment! All these can be backed up as I have crime number. Do not Go with them!! I HAVE been advised by the landlord that she have deceided to get the property managed and sold by a diffrent letting agent as she is aware of PEARSON FERRIER DODGY WORKSTYLE!!! LOOK At THEIR REVIEW SCORES its says enough that I am not the only one complaining even landlords itself complains here on trust pilot or Google and other reviewing sites!! They are trying to cover their wrongdoing by stating lies etc, THE FACT that pearson ferrier are discussing/stating here on trust pilot about a tenant situations such as arrears, etc, and states other lies proves that they indeed discuss tenant situations with other people as they discuss it with a neigbour aswell discuss this with other people!!!! I would believe a proper firm Will know how to handle or reply on a review properly!!!! Wether this is negative or positive!!! PLEASE avoid this crooks company save your money and Go with other letting agents!! I am in process to sue the letting agent for harrassement aswell breach of privacy!!!!!! FUTURE TENANT/LANDLORD if you do not want to see your data/information on the street nor discussed with other people you never give permittion for!!! I Strongly urgue TO AVOID this CROOK FIRM!!!!

My review relates to the lettings…

My review relates to the lettings management service at the Bury branch. Through my 9 years as an unintentional landlord I have received excellent service from, in particular, Samantha Fielding. Issues arise, some tricky, in tenancy management, and I have much reason to be grateful for her sorting things out so I can relax some 200 miles away. Thank you Sam.

Excellent Service

Iain was outstanding during the sale of our property.
Nothing was too much for him. We were in constant contact and he kept us informed at every stage of the process.
He always got back to us if we contacted him.
He went above and beyond when we had issues.
Could not recommend highly enough and would 100% use his services again.

Qualified my needs and listened to me - a stark difference from most estate agents

I have dealt with Leah & Stuart from the Prestwich branch and i have found them to be nothing but amazing. Every other Estate agent seemed like i has disturbed their crossword puzzle when i was asking questions and trying to qualify myself and explain what i was searching for.

Until i spoke to Leah, i had not had a decent conversation - Leah listened and suggested a property not yet on the market. We have had our offer accepted. Refreshing to speak to an estate agent where they are genuinely interested in the sales process.

SELLERS BEWARE!

Only ever used this company as a potential buyer. Contacted them to view a property which had only just come on the market, was told seller was considering an offer and wouldn't let me view. After I week it was still showing as for sale so I called them again, this time they said I could view so I made an appointment. The day before I was due to view I noticed on right move that it was sold, I contacted them and they confirmed this. I pointed out to them that nobody had enquired what my position was and as a cash buyer I believe this should have been passed on to the seller who could then decide themselves. They informed me that the buyer was a cash buyer too. In my opinion the seller should be informed of all interest and afforded the opportunity to accept other offers. In my opinion this company have not acted in the best interest of the seller and as such I will avoid them when buying or selling in the future.

Brilliant service & attitude from the branch in Ashton-under-Lyne from the very first meeting to sell our house. We were so impressed with the service we also asked them to help find us a property, which they achieved very quickly.

Regular updates were provided & they worked with our solicitors to manage the process, becoming a trusted conduit making sure the other parties did their bit - which really was needed too!

Incredibly honest every step of the way & we highly recommend this branch without reservation.

Pearson Ferrier - Fabulous

Just sold a property with Iain at Pearson Ferrier and was impressed with the service provided. These were the second agents we had used, as we had no interest with the first ones. Iain sold the property within a couple of weeks, and was polite, professional and courteous throughout the whole process. We would recommend them highly for selling property.

Never trust an estate agent who wears polo necks in Summer and drives a Range Rover!

Basically only interested if you are selling or buying an expensive property. We had to rent for a short while while we looked for a new home and we were spoken to so rudely.

Once they realised we were potential home owners looking to buy it was a different attitude but still low on client service.

For us a friendly and efficient service is really important.

Wheale and Hitchen are far better at what they do and we bought our property via them in the end and the service was really good, friendly and helpful.

Not happy with this company at all!

Not happy with this company at all!! We applied for a rental property through them and granted my partner has previous adverse credit (which we informed them of prior to them processing the checks) however when they had completed their third party credit checks we were informed that my partner had failed the application because he still had several outstanding debts on his credit report. These have all be sorted, settled and confirmed by his Experian credit report.

We were informed that if we could get the relevant details from the courts etc that this would help when going to the landlord. So my partner spent most of his day trying to gather the relevant information as we really wanted this house.

We were then informed by Pearson Ferrier that the landlord had decided not to have tenants "in our situation"...... not only was this insulting and they should not have informed us of what the landlord had said (whether that was his opinion or not) but this was also based on incorrect information provided by their third party credit company.

We were then told that we would not be able to get the full application fee which we paid and they would retain £75 of this because they paid for a third party credit check. Thankfully they only removed the property from the market for a couple of days otherwise we would have been charge the full £275.

Well i do hope that no one else use this company as they will just rip you off. Requesting inaccurate credit reports and not refunding you the money paid for this as 'you agreed to a third party credit check'. Yes we did agree to a third party credit check but you would expect that they would get this report from a creditable credit company and not a company who clearly haven't updated their records and so provide false reports!!!

Absolutely disgusted!!!
