I did the September 2025 LEJOG and despite some awful weather, Paul and Bob always got us to our destinations safely and in good spirits. The brew stops were just when you needed them and well stock... See more

Brilliant Tours
I have done 2 x tours with Pedal Britan (Ireland and Wales) both have been outstanding.
From start to finish, the organisation is superb and nothing is too much trouble.
The routes are well chosen, manageable (challenging at times) and the daily brew stops a real highlight.
Literally all you have to do is pedal 😀
LEJOG June 2023 - a great adventure
This was an amazing trip and not just because I achieved my goal of getting to the finish line without walking one step. The route was carefully chosen by Darren to keep us off the busy roads as much as possible while showcasing the fantastic landscape that this country has to offer. The accommodation, lunches and dinners were all efficiently organised. Ade was a colossus who looked after us from morning to night. His brew stops were a sight to behold and his sense of humour never less than sparkling. I am already planning my next trip with Pedal Britain!
An absolute fantastic experience
An absolute fantastic experience. Personally I struggled for the first few days, but our guide Ade was amazing and kept giving me encouragement all the way, as the days went by I got stronger and stronger and the scenery of the route pedal Britain have chosen is absolutely awesome. Travelling through the highlands of Scotland passed Loch Lomond along the full length of Loch Ness was the most breathtaking scenery I have seen in my life, approximately every 20 miles the guys would go ahead and set up a refreshments stand to keep us going for the day and the accommodation at the end of each day was fantastic, a big thank you to Darren at pedal Britain, Ade the guide and Paul who cycled along at the rear.
A fantastic experience
A fantastic experience, made all the more enjoyable by Pedal Britain being so organised and commicating so well. From my first interaction c 9 months before our ride, through to the route details to be uploaded, to our bikes being transferred and then all the support on the ride itself, nothing was left to chance. We just had to pedal ! All done with a light touch and good humour. Many thanks to Darren and the team.
You can believe all the great reviews
You can believe all the great reviews. Just finished LEJOG. An experience of a lifetime that was made possible by Darren and our guides. There’s so much to arrange logistically for them but they made it all run like clockwork. I was careful choosing which company to do this ride with and it paid off. Thank you Darren
Fantastic LEJOG experience
I chose Pedal Britain for my recent LEJOG experience, through recommendation and it exceeded expectations. From sign posting training programs, information as you near the ride and early introductions to those riding with you, Pedal Britain are very professional. It’s an experience and not a race. There are plenty of opportunities to savour the countryside, take pictures and to do so at your own pace. Darren understands cyclists and has factored in the right number of stops, in the right places, with the right nutritional temptations. There is a guide for support and encouragement, whilst the driver prepares the brew stops. I have no hesitation in recommend Darren’s Pedal Britain for LEJOG and I will definitely be sampling another tour in the near future.
LEJOG with Pedal Britain: a trip of a lifetime
I signed up for the LEJOG tour because I wanted the challenge of cycling from one end of the country to another. It turned out to be the trip of a lifetime.
I wanted to find a tour that enabled me to cycle on mainly country and B roads and to have time to take in the sights. I had no interest in being a fast or competitive cyclist and I wanted to rest well at the end of a day in decent accommodation. If these are your criteria too, then I suspect Pedal Britain will be hard to beat. It’s not the cheapest tour you can find but I think it represents real value for money- you get what you pay for.
The group is quite small (18) so you feel very well cared for and looked after. A very experienced guide rides with you and ensures no one is left behind. Brew stops occur round about every 20 miles, before and after lunch and the average day’s mileage is round about 75 miles.
During this trip I was able to see some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. Because we weren’t rushed I was able to photograph it too and savour the experience. I’m not a particularly good cyclist but obviously got myself to a decent level of fitness. I went on the trip with a good cycling friend but many people met on the trip for the first time and new friendships were formed.
Darren is an excellent organiser and a thoroughly decent guy. I found him to be friendly, reassuring and very helpful.
I unreservedly recommend this trip to anyone wanting a challenge and an irreplaceable experience of seeing the country at its best.
Great customer focus
Great customer focus. The attention to detail was obvious and very welcoming. From start to finish, a lot of work, thought and experience had gone into producing an excellent “holiday” cycling LEJOG.
Just completed the NC500 with Pedal…
Just completed the NC500 with Pedal Britain. Great communication from the start, convenient bike collection - free if you live near enough, friendly guides Ade and Les who were always on hand to help, feed you at the brew stops and offer support and encouragement so all you had to do was cycle! Highly recommended 👌
NC500 May 2023 - Excellent
A very well organised tour with good use of technology to share routes and track riders. The two Pedal Britain guides (Les and Ade) were exceptional and somehow always in the right place when needed. The brew stops were very well stocked with a wide variety of food. Lunch stops included some amazing cafes with food of a far greater quality than I could have expected. Great weather, amazing scenery and terrific company. An unforgettable experience.
Great experience taking on NC500
Great experience taking on NC500 with Les and Ade as our guides / support.
Nothing was too much trouble for them, always on hand to support, advise and encourage.
NC500
NC500 - one of the best cycling trips I have been on. The hills that kept on giving but the scenery, lochs and laughs made it all worthwhile. Great food stops and accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble for our guises Les and Ade, even sorting out my bike mechicals. Would definitely cycle with Pedal Britain again. Thank you.
It’s all about the people…
Fantastic experience with Pedal Britain or more accurately Les and Ade our guides / support crew. Humour and technical advice were in abundance as was the food, drink and medical advice including how to protect from the dreaded saddle sores! Cannot praise these guys enough.
Incredible experience, faultlessly organised
I did LEJOG in August 2022, and to quote Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes, I had the time of my life. From my perspective the organisation was faultless - Darren and his expert team (shout out to superb guides Mick and Peter) had thought of everything. Hotels, food and routes all taken care of - all you have to do is ride, which for 14 days was one of the best experiences of my life. I had a smile on my face the entire fortnight, and each time I think of it or tell someone about the tour, the smile returns. Fantastic group of people (none of whom I'd met prior to the tour) with lots of good humour and great camaraderie. Granted, the weather was exceptional (35C heatwave for the first 8 days, and just a couple of rainy days in Scotland) so we were lucky, but I think I'd have had a blast whatever the weather. Besides riding through some of the most spectacular parts of the UK (the route is meticulously planned and very carefully thought out) I finally mastered, nay embraced, the hills. I can't recommend Pedal Britain highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
LEJOG in August - why not?
Despite having opted to ride LEJOG in August in slightly bonkers temperatures, the entire experience from start to finish was fun. We were extremely well looked after in terms of food , accommodation and overall support (technical and otherwise). Advice and good humour were freely dispensed. The schedule was well planned, routes very doable (despite the obvious difficulties in gradients in certain places) and overall it was an utterly great experience. I was even loaned a back wheel for 3 days when my own decided to succumb to its age...Heartily recommended as a tour group....Id have no hesitation in riding with Pedal Britain again.
NC500
Cannot recommend highly enough. Darren dealt with my (constant) queries up to the trip itself in a helpful and friendly way, Peter and Mick our guides were the same. The route itself was stunning, challenging but rewarding. All accommodation was more than adequate, and each day's riding seemed just about right.
I would definitely use Pedal Britain again......just ride your bike and everything else taken care of seamlessly....thanks for a great trip.
Just back from the France E2E…
Just back from the France E2E absolutely excellent. Good company, good accommodation, route was fantastic never knew some of these parts of France existed. Food was great.
All well planned with guidance and backup provided at all times.
Looking forward to more routes in other countries. Would go again without hesitation.
A great experience
Just returned from September Lejog. Pedal Britain’s organisation was exceptional… Took away all of the hassle and as promised, all we had to do was pedal! Our guides Ade & Paul were excellent, keeping everyone well fed entertained and motivated. (Whilst also dealing efficiently with the team’s mechanical issues.) if you’re considering the Lejog challenge I would highly recommend Pedal Britain.
Pedal Britain made this challenge a great experience
Pedal Britain made this challenge a great experience by taking away all the admin. Accommodation, breakfast, ‘brew stops’, evening meal options all went smoothly, as did back up with repairs, etc. thanks to Ade Thomas and Paul Evans. So we could focus on the trip and just pedal.
Just returned from September LEJOG with…
Just returned from September LEJOG with my daughter . A tough but hugely rewarding trip. The organisation and planning was exceptional, we had a great group of fellow lejogers and Ade and Paul were fantastic guides, worked non stop to ensure we were all looked after and provided so much support enthusiasm and leadership. A lifetime of memories
Also probably the best brew stops around
Highly recommended, just book it
