The People's Trust better way provides you with a greater value by saving both time and money. Our upfront investment in preparedness allows us to pass along the savings and deliver some of the most competitive home insurance rates in Florida. Our simplified recovery process saves you the time and hassle of finding and supervising contractors and subcontractors, and coordinating the recovery process after disaster strikes.

Very easy to speak with someone via phone, invaluable and provided great options for me to submit the necessary documentation.

Very helpful and pleasant people. The yearly premium was just about half of cost of previous policy.

The person who called me was very friendly, helpful and had a warm genuine tone. Sometimes, it is hard to hear this on calls when it is often read off a script.

Let me say that if I could sue them, I would. My retired parents purchased a new policy from People’s Trust only a few months ago, and last night while Hurricane Milton was raging outside, my father began opening the days mail that had come earlier and found a letter that stated that People’s Trust had cancelled their home owners policy! Who freaking sends a cancellation letter when a hurricane is imminent?!!!! They said it was cancelled because they had to file a claim with their last insurer to get a new roof. That was demanded by their old insurance company! They had no choice but to put a new roof on or the old company would have cancelled that policy! These people are thieves, crooks and liars and care NOTHING about their clients’ needs! Stay far, far away!!!
I have been with Peoples Trust over 20yrs, had 1 claim for new roof and it went very smoothly...Highly recommend.
Terrible company, if they don't leave you when something bad happens don't worry they will just sue you instead..
I had a Wrongful death suit against my husband's estate .we had people's trust insurance.my husband was a 15 plus year policy holder ,when the law siut came out Peoples trust not only bailed on me they wouldnt pay for an attorney to defend me . I was wrongfully accused and had to pay 100k no one was there to help. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone they take our money with hopes nothing will happen and when it did I got the run around and told by 1 of their many attorneys I wasnt covered under the policy. I am , and was , flat out lied to me . I had to pay a $100000. People trust would not answer my phone calls. I have the policy in front of me and they are supposed to pay for my attorney, they refused. Do not find out the hard way this company isn't reputable. I was just widowed and had no one they took advantage of me
If anyone knows any lawyer we can contact, please provide their website here, people’s trusts is a company that should not be in business anymore getting people’s money and when we submit a claim they don’t do nothing. Our desk advisor Collins never responded one single email o phone call.
ZERO STARS! I still have a tarp on my roof 7.5 months after hurricane Ian. I cannot get anyone at Peoples' Trust to help me! TERRIBLE!
I do not recommend it, they will lose their money, I am still waiting for them to repair the Hurricane Ian disaster and nothing
The worst insurance company ever. We lived through hurricane Ian 5 months ago and have not received any help from this company. I pay my insurance premiums on time. They continue to disagree with all the damage that happened. Their own adjuster inspected my home and didn’t list everything that was damaged. Please be aware of this company
This is the worst insurance company if you file a claim. If you call about the status, they shove you to the bottom of the list and repeatedly tell you they need 14 days to review your status, and then another 14 days, and another 14 days. They refuse to acknowledge that I need a new roof - I have sent 4 estimates and pictures! Supervisors do not call back and one is never available. Worst Insurance Company EVER!
Ian hit September 28. Called in claim September 30. Waited nearly 3 weeks for inspector to show up. OK, understandable. Now, still waiting for someone to call us to know what is getting covered, when we can start getting repairs made. Calling each week and they just keep saying someone should be calling us any day.
My friend ,Jeff Oatman ,had his house flooded from Ian , ( he is staying with me ,for the time being ) , Jeff gets conflicting reports whenever he calls .!!!!!!!!!!! Can you get this strait !!!!!! He has already used his savings account and the FEMA to ,get halfway there . It seems you guys are dragging your feet !!! His number is 941-224-0100 . After paying for 17 years , I thought you would step up to the plate and, HELP HIM .!!!!!!!!!!! The insurance adjuster was there 30 plus days ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help him out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give him a call so he doesn't have to get a loan to finish and move back in , by himself !!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm waiting for you to respond to him !!!!!!!!!!! Personally. Otherwise he has to do it on his own !!!!!!!!!!! Quit the runaround !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you , Don McClintock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I filed a claim a few days after hurricane Ian hit SW Florida. After the initial acknowledgement of claim being filed there has been absolutely no contact from adjustor for well over a month to inspect the property or submitting information concerning claim. No response from adjustor assigned to claim, calls went unanswered and mailbox was full. An adjustor finally showed up, outa the blue, one morning. To his credit, the adjustor did do a comprehensive evaluation of all damages; took lots of notes, photos, etc.... and hopefully a fair evaluation of the claim will be processed. Fingers crossed!!!
I have filed two claims in the 35 years I have owned my home. Both claims have been with People's Trust. I had major problems with my roof and they just want to patch my roof. That would have looked horrible because my old roof was about 14 yrs old. I also had fungus under my home in the crawl space. I was told I had coverage in my plan but they said that it wasn't covered. They want your premium but they won't pay at all or the very least they think they can get away with as in my roof. Stay away! I am in litigation about my roof because I couldn't just patch my roof. This will be you too if you ever have to file a claim.
I got a quote for HO insurance and paid for the policy. The company wanted to send an inspector out to do a Five Point inspection. No problem. Problem. Not really sure whether the underwriters or the inspector is the problem, but it makes for a clueless group, all of which are hiding for fear of an attempted logical conversation. The inspector had 5 erroneous entries which he submitted to the company. They cancelled the policy due to the poor condition of my roof, sighting differing colors of tiles indicating patching, therefore the entire roof needs to be replaced. What, It's a 35yr tile roof that isn't even 18 years old. Upon review of the pics the roof is fine, what they are looking at is clean vs dirty tiles from where I had leaking solar pool heating panels removed. How such incompetent people can have jobs is beyond me. They won't talk to you for fear they might have to confront how dumb they really are. Took my payment quickly, got to wait 3-4 weeks to get a refund. Really great group, run don't walk.
