i paid £280 yast year and i was in total shock to see the policy from my last Co went up tp £895.00 no changes ext almost 200% i signed up to moneysavingexpert and found pepercorn was the cheapest by miles inc all the extrasi only paid just over £440 in total very happy

Peppercorn quote promise.

Peppercorn kept to its promise of not increasing my insurance quote just because I took a few days to think about it. I returned to their site and they carefully and thoroughly went through the quote and what I was paying for. I hope if a problem arises and I do have an accident they are just as diligent in settling the claim.

Its like a SCAM!

It was easy sign up. It became a huge problem when at the time I made a claim. Its very hard to contact them, its my first time to experience this bad in my whole life as a driver. Even its not fault the handlers will you feel its yours, and you will be transfer to layers entirely different companies they dont even know your insurance company. 2 months after i made claims, im still chasing how my car will be fixed. No one answers the call, if they did they will transfer until you spent literally hours on the phone.

Would never have chose this company to…

Would never have chose this company to insure my car if I knew I would have such an issue with contact when you need to claim. My windscreen was damaged badly on Saturday 6th January. I contacted a number which I believe to be the broker as they referred to them as a third party and as peppercorn do not have a customer services number. Was told to contact Autoglass, who said they would email peppercorn. Contacted Autoglass for an update this morning, Monday 8th January, they had no confirmation to carry out the work and were still waiting. Rang the broker back, was then told to put a claim in online, as this was the only way you could claim. Which I also did, it stated I would have a call back within the hour for an appointment. 3 hours later nothing. I have emailed customer services and will be contacting the CEO, if I had insured with a company with a customer service number this would have been in the process of being dealt with. It would not have mattered so much, but due to been under hospital care and having appointments to attend to, I need my car urgently. It might seem a good company for quotes, but I'd rather pay a bit more for better service, and not having the pressure of chasing them to get the service I have paid for. I do not recommend this company and will never use again. Further to the complaint, an investigation was carried out by Peppercorn. They claimed that I had been contacted by an outside company and had the audacity to state it was up to me to answer my phone in the response. However, after numerous calls trying to get things sorted out and no help from Peppercorn at all. I came to learn by Autoglass, their head office had wrote my telephone number down wrong. Which is why they could not get in contact with me. So I would love to know how Autoglass managed to contact me without my number, error on their head offices part. I would never use this company again. Tried to state I was a liar.

Easy to use & reasonable!

Found through a comparison site & £100 cheaper than the next cheapest! I like the chat bot style, speedy but not rushed & everything is explained.

UPDATE JANUARY 2025
I had to make a claim in December due to having a crack in my windscreen. I filled in the online form early on a Saturday morning & within an hour I received a phone call & it was all booked in within 3 days, they came to my place of work. Great service.
Last week, during the very cold snap, my window popped out of the frame. I contacted Peppercorn who guided me on who to call. Neither National or Autoglass would help as the glass wasn’t broken but Peppercorn tried! I also received the email saying unfortunately they couldn’t insure me for the following year but I’ll definitely try again with them next year. Thank you!
