This is a review of perfectgift.com…

This is a review of perfectgift.com (not perfectgift.ca)
The people at perfectgift.com are always nice and helpful, but the product is less than awesome. We purchased logo'd VISA brand debit cards for our sales force for a training program. I only participated partially in the program, so I had extra funds on my card. When I went to look up the balance, I saw that there were numerous charges from some online "dating site" that were not mine. And continuous charges that were being made by a flurry of these sites on my card but declined because the balance was now so low. I called perfectgift.com customer service line. They were polite but told me there was no recourse.
See, unlike a VISA charge card, these are "debit cards" and once the charge goes through there is no way to challenge the charge. Well, if I had known that from the beginning, there is a good chance that I would not have even done this program with these cards.
We are running the program next month again but this time with AMEX cards, I don't know if it will be the same scenario or not. But I'm definitely not buy VISA "debit" cards from perfectgift.com because as it turns out, they are not that perfect.

Don't by this gift card as you will waste your money!

My husband's mother used to always give us this type of gift card. I now have four gift cards that were used and then the rest of the balance was eaten up by service charges by the company.

Don't buy this gift card for anyone! The other gift cards you can buy don't eat away at your balance. This company should be put out of business!!!

My card doesn’t work at all, doesn’t even show up on their website as a valid card. I bought the card myself for $200, Tried calling the number on the back and just goes on about how much I can spend in European countries, and which countries. Won’t even let me talk to anyone. Huge scam 🤬🤬

DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM THE PERFECT GIFT CARD COMPANY...THEY LITERALLY SCAM YOUR MONEY RIGHT FROM THE TIME YOU PURCHASE THE GIFT CARD, THEY DEDUCT $3 DOLLARS EVERY MONTH THERE AFTER, SO IF YOU DON'T USE IT FOR A YEAR OR MORE, THE AMOUNT YOU WERE GIFTED PROBABLY WOULD END UP AT ZERO AMOUNT. I JUST WANT TO WARN EVERYONE NOT TO BUY THEIR GIFT CARDS. SCAMMERS!!! WORST GIFT CARD COMPANY EVER!!!!

NEVER BUY A VISA PRE-PAID CARD!!

NEVER BUY A VISA PRE-PAID CARD!!! I purchased a $50 gift card and tried to use it at Playnow. I have done this in the past without issues. Suddenly the card was not accepted. I contacted theperfectgift.ca and they ended up sending a new one. Both myself and Visa thought it was the card. WRONG! They sent me a replacement card and I registered it. That did not work either. Now I have another card that is useless, much like Visa. When I called Visa today, the CSR kept asking for my account number. He did not seem to understand what a "Pre-paid" card is. I will stick with MasterCard in the future.

Manipulative scam.

Manipulative scam.

Money expires after a year and goes to $0 I lost over a hundred dollars because I didn’t use it soon enough.

They make it intentionally hard to check your balance or use, they don’t want you actually spending the money you’re due.

Can’t use up what’s left on the card so if you have $9.00 left and are buying a $100 item you can’t take $9 off you have to find something $9 or less which means you can never truly spend all the money.

Do not buy for any reason

THIS is a absolute SCAM(DON’T BUY IT)

THIS is a absolute SCAM. I got gifted a 25$ gift card so when I tried to use the card it said it was declined! I was so confused because I just got it like a minute ago.So I went to check the balance and it was zero. My dad got me this gift card I feel bad for him that he had to waste 25$ on this scam.
Don’t even spend your money on this it’s a SCAM instead just give them cash. This scam has been on the news!!I am just angered why do they still continue to sell this.

We received a 500.00 gift card as a promotion on a new purchases with expiry date of 05/22.....well it wasn't even a year that we received the card and they are already charging us 9.00 in service fees when I call the service department she told me the card was purchases in July and that after a year they charge 3.00 per month for service charges....well I informed them that I did not buy the card I only received it in October and asked her if she would reverse the charges and she said no that I had to review the policies on the website.....Well I didn't buy the card so I did not review the policy......Really don't agree with this policy.....they should put a note directly on the card if this is how they work.....Not going to buy any Visa prepaid card from now on!

My son purchased the Gift Card for Mother’s Day

My son purchased the $200 gift card for me as a Mother’s Day gift in May 2021. I decided to wait and use it for Black Friday or Christmas. Keep in mind the expiry date was 10/2024. I injured my back so I decided to purchase a comfortable shoes and was I shocked that the card had no money on it. The first time I called the “ Perfect Gift” customer service..there was no live person, just computerized messages taking me in circles- I was so frustrated. . The next morning I checked the card and it was used … leaving me with 63 cents. I checked the transaction record and it was used on a Chinese site… the site was completely in Chinese. I do not read or understand any Chinese… clearly this was a fraudulent transaction. After several attempts I finally got a live customer service rep. so I opened a dispute with the company.. no one contacted me for additional information. But they sent me a resolved dispute decision that I had 60 days to dispute the transaction.. their response “Therefore, we are unable to credit your account, thus closing this dispute.” Really? How was I suppose to know that the card was used. The expiry date was in 2024. Furthermore the company recommended that I register the card which I did. So they had my email address and phone number and they could have alerted me or sent me a transaction statement.
This company is fraudulent and scammers.
The name of the card “ The Perfect Gift”. It is definitely the perfect gift for scammers and thieves so that they can perform illegal transactions. As per the bad reviews it is clear that fraudulent transactions are normal with this company
And they have not rectified this on-going issue.

Under no circumstances purchase this card… this company are the scammers.

Great Customer Service

My company had a complicated way of initiating payment for our order but Pam was exceptional. She walked me through the process over a period of 6 weeks to get our order finally through and delivered on time. Her patience and ingenuity really helped us to get the VISA cards in time for a large employee event despite our firm being less than efficient!

NEVER PURCHASE

NEVER PURCHASE. Have been given many, many MasterCard & Visa cards sold at Shopper's Drug Mart, Loblaws, etc. They are all a scam. A monthly fee is charged even without use. As well, had several cards worth hundreds of dollars compromised where someone else was able to steal the money off the card. I would NEVER gift this as a gift or buy this for personal use. CASH is KING. Do not waste your money. The customer support is also terrible. I would like to prevent anyone else from having the disappointment these cards bring. Plus in Canada gift card should never expire. These do expire contrary to what is posted on their website and that's because of the month fee the card charges so by the time the expiry comes around, the card has been charged monthly fees, eating up the balance of the gift card. This company should not be in business. I caution anyone from supporting this horrible company. Beware: Bad Business Practices.

Absolute garbage scam

Absolute garbage scam. They bleed the card starting one month after someone buys it, three dollars a month gone for “account maintenance“. Then, when you call the number, they try to block you from actually speaking to someone to resolve the issue. Just keep pressing zero, and you should get through (it took me five 0‘s to get through to the somewhat sheepish customer service rep on the other end). What an absolute joke. That should not be allowed. I will do my best to prevent anyone I know from ever purchasing such a garbage card.

Absolute trash - do not buy this for people.

Absolute trash! DO NOT GIVE THIS TO ANYONE EVER.

Limited customer support at best, cards don't seem to work without contacting them a significant amount of the time, and exorbitant fees. I'd rather have a gift card to a random restaurant.

Took me 20 minutes to talk to a real person and to be told that the card had the wrong security code.

Automated support hotline is obviously designed to make it difficult for people to talk to a real person.

Ridiculous fees, poor support, and no value add; need I say more?

If you're considering getting this for a gift - DON'T.

It starts taking off $3 per month. So it needs to be used ASAP. Any person receiving this as a gift that doesn't know will end up with zero balance over time. LEGAL SCAM.

Scam artists!

Scam artists!!! Crummy gift. Don't get these. Not only does it cost the purchaser an extra $6 fee, but as soon as the recipient uses it, they automatically start deducting $3 p/month. I barely got to use my card.
