Perfect gift should be called Perfect trick

I use a lot of gift cards as family lives all over the country and I do not like using my real bank one because of Fraud. I only noticed this happening with the ""perfect gift"" ones , as I was using one for a monthly charge taken off by lets say a phone plan. I noticed that the card was taking off a service charge. Out of all of the cards I use, and I use them on a regular basis, I was shocked to see that happen. Then today when I was sorting my cards to clean up the balances, which I do by putting a sticker on, for what is left and do my purchase at a store with split/tender. I am going to never buy their card every again.I WILL LOUDY AND BOISTEROUSLY LET EVERYONE I KNOW -- MAKING SURE THEY DON'T GET GOT IN THE SCAM. YOU SHOULD CALL IT ---A BIG THANKYOU FROM niGEREA GIFT CARD I now use American Express. I have found them to be the best for not having scam stuff like this..

fraud card

I got the perfect gift mastercard of $50 for new year 2022 gift. No stores could use them, so I registered it online today, to find only having $ 2.81 on the card. The card was already used. I should have kept the receipt. What a fraud company! Shall I tell the person who gave me the card? she also gave me the perfect gift card of $50 last year, only used once in a pharmacy, no other stores could accept it, and it is now expired. Never buy this card!

Buyer Beware!

Beware!! Scam and fraudulent company. All the cards are already used prior to opening the card. They do not refund you your money. Scam! Buyer beware. Do not use or buy these cards. They call them the perfect gift but they are the gift from hell, you literally could not give a worse gift.

Perfect gift is not so perfect.. ripped off

I was saving my cards for a large purchase only to find out that they charge $3 per month. $800 worth of cards are now worth $390. The biggest rip off i have ever known. Lucky I checked them or they would have been worthless in a couple of months. there was not notice on the front of the card or on the packaging about the fees. Just awful! By all the reviews it looks like I am not the only one that has been scammed. The perfect gift is not so perfect so stay away......

As with a good portion of complaints on…

As with a good portion of complaints on this site, I too fell for this….balance eaten up by maintenance fees
Received a card, didn’t use, didn’t “register” for 2 years. Went online to register and there was no balance.
“Register” appears to be defined as “activate” (at time of purchase), then the clock starts. This means that as soon as it is purchased the monthly maintenance fees apply.
Buyer Beware!

Bad Customer Service

God help you if you didn't get your card registered to an address in-store.

Got my card as a gift for Christmas, and there IS no Customer Service from The Perfect Gift. Self Serve online or Self Serve on the phone, it doesn't matter, I couldn't find an actual human being if I mailed myself to their office and jumped out of the box. Without an address, I have an expensive piece of plastic that I could frame and put on my wall, if the name of Perfect Gift was worth anything. But it's not, so save your money.

Checking my balance gives me an error

Checking my balance gives me an error. The phone number to call and the website to inquire about the company does not seem to be responsive to personal questions.

The perfect.gift The contact information lists a meaningless phone number and an address for letters.

Who would write to them nowadays?

It is true what you say about scams where you just pay to get information.

I feel better now that I have found this site and have read your opinions.
Thank you.

NEVER AGAIN

My daughter was saving her gift cards up to buy something special - assuming the money would be available until the expiry date. But, upon checking the all of her gift cards had a balance of 0 because once REGISTERED they take a monthly fee!

VANILLA Mastercard does not do this.

VISA SPONSORED SCAM

Just opened the 2 VISA gift cards today to activate. Their website did not process my numbers so I called. They said I have a zero balance on both cards since they were activated and were not used right away a monthly fee was charged. No recourse they said I should have read the fine print, well my cards were unopened and I did not activate them like a normal gift card. Card says 'Funds do not expire'. Not true. They use some foreign call center. VISA RIPOFF SCAM CONCEIVED BY VISA! DO NOT DEAL WITH VISA!

If I could give it a minus number

If I could give it a minus number, I would. These folks take your hard-earned money and give you a piece of plastic and very quietly chip away at the balance by dinging it $3/month. For what? Well, that's an interesting question since not one word of these charges is mentioned on the website. I registered my card (that I got a while back) so I could use it online and there's a whole $11 available - out of a $50 gift!! I got this from my kids, so I guess The Perfect Gift got my Christmas present and I got nothing. Thieves, the lot of them. Shame on them for still taking these monthly charges throughout Covid when we couldn't go in-store shopping for the better part of the last 2 years. Spread the word so we can put these jerks out of business for good.

Don't buy this card !

Don't buy this card. I got mine as a gift from my son and haven't used it for a while. Today I went to the store and was in shock when the cashier told me I have a balance of $58.00 out of $100.00.
Apparently, they charge a monthly fee of $3.00
What a disappointment.

This is the first time I have purchased…

This is the first time I have purchased one of these. 5.95 purchasing fee and a 3.00 monthly fee if you dont use it right away caught me after it was already put through the cash register. This is a scam. I will never purchase this again and will be sure to inform people to read carefully anything that has Visa on it.

Its on purpose

If I could describe their service in a word is "retard3d", my company (which i live working for) sent all its employees a $20 gift card for Christmas, little did I know it would be the completely retard3d system of perfectgift.com

So the card was sent to out email, thats fine, i buy most things online anyways, than I realized I needed a zip code, i tried mine, the stores, even the headquarters of the company I work for, even perfect gift's, and nothing

Than they charge $5 to send you a physical cards, which im sure will work if I order

I believe this was not a mistake, they do not have good intentions, there is no way that a company that claims they have sent over 1 Billion USD would do a mistake like this

I hope to never hear of this company again

The Perfect Gift Card is a scam!

The Perfect Gift Card is a scam! I got this gift card from a friend, and I didn't spend it for 3 years. Little did I know, the company was eating away at my money, every month. What this company is doing is very wrong, and they should be sued and should be punished. They are acting like robbers, stealing our money. No one should buy this card!😠👎
