SCAM

Like others received an email saying registration has expired. I heard alarm bells!
Also like others they know all relevant details.
They need to be stopped!

I’m glad I’ve just checked out this…

I’m glad I’ve just checked out this company on trust pilot. They say I have to renew my dog’s registration and should cost 1895, but every time I go to pay it says I need to pay £29.95. I couldn’t understand as I too thought this was a lifetime registration.

Yes a scam

Yes a scam. Just got the email. Worrying because they have my name and address, and know my dog’s name - could make dog theft much easier. Why has there been no public information about a data breach?

Pretty sure its a scam

I believed when a pet was chipped it was a lifetime registration thing, then I got an email stating our dogs registration had expired-click on links etc to renew etc etc. it contained correct chip number, contact details, pets name…literally everything …looked for real but being a super sceptic I wasn’t clicking on anything till I’d checked it out. My vet was suprised-said they’d never heard of having to renew and to ring them. So I did …call failed…appears no such number and then I came across everybody elses experiences….so glad I didnt click on the link….looks like a very clever scam but how the heck they get all that info is unreal…robbing gits

SCAM! Asking me to renew registration for 2 dead cats

I have received two emails from this motley crew today, advising me that my [dead] cats MUST re-register their microchips.
The sisters are both now buried in the garden; 4 years ago and 2 years ago, respectively.
Would Petchip like me to dig up said cats as proof that I no longer require scamming ....?

SCAM...

Junk. Scary how much information they know. Name, address, phone number, pets microchip number.

He's registered and there's clearly been a data breach. Beware.

It's a SCAM

It's a SCAM. No need to pay an annual fee. Worrying how much information these scammers have gained access to though.

my (dead) dog needs re-registering scam

my (dead) dog needs re-registering scam
OK scammer. I just received a reminder "that my dogs microchip is expiring and I need to pay etc etc in case I need to be reunited with him" My dog died about 3 years ago and he was taken off the microchip register at the time. Although I would like to be reunited with him I suspect this is not the way.
