Having used the database for all our animals over the years, I have been so happy with the service and quick response I have received.

I have used Pettrac microchips for over 9 years in the small cat rescue branch I run and have been delighted with their competent and pleasant approach.Originally microchips were registered by post or telephone but now I am able to register online and it is such a simple process which is important when all is voluntary.A case some years ago when a microchip would not register as already on the system was quickly sorted out by the staff when it was found that a wrong handwritten number had been registered in a dog in England.They organised rescanning of the dog so that was corrected and I was able to continue registration for the cat.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I cannot recommend PETtrac enough. The team at PETtrac are so are so helpful and provide excellent customer service.

Over the last 10+ Years we have used PETtrac for our microchipping needs and the team have always been very helpful with detail changes (Address/ Contact info etc). They also assisted with the return of my Cat after he went missing for 9 months, where the team provided my contact info to a garden centre that found him late at night!

As a rescue and rehoming centre for dogs and cats it is important that we use a professional and effective database. We would recommend PETtrac not just because their system is straightforward and easy to use but because their customer service is exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for the team and they are very personable and helpful.

Amazing company, always on hand to help. The database is efficient and really easy to navigate. The chips are cost effective and lovely to use. Having been chipping since they started I have found these to be the best by far.

As a cat rescue, we have accounts with a few UK companies but our favourite is PetTrac - not only is the user interface good the back office support are always helpful and responsive.

I work for a Cat Rescue Charity and we use the Pettrac, not only for database searches but for registering our Microchips. It's easy to navigate and simple to register a chip. Whenever I've had a problem (mainly because of an error I've made), it's been rectified quickly. Excellent company

UK PETtrac Database is exemplary. We are a foreign rescue and wouldn't use any other company to register all our dogs with. The team are extremely polite, always helpful, they go above and beyond to explain when help is needed and are all knowledgeable.
Customer Service in all departments is always prompt, and they always answer the phone with an actual person who will then deal with whatever queries we have. Their online system is easy to use and works very efficiently. We would absolutely recommend PETtrac unreservedly.

Brilliant team. I made a bit of a mistake with trying to change the address on our cat's chip and the team that handled this were fantastic and sorted it all super fast once I realised what I'd done. Knowing our cat is all upto date is super reassuring and really appreciate how friendly and quickly it was handled by Rachel and Callum. Thanks so much!

I am absolutely shocked that they charge ME for the FACT THAT I LOGGED IN TO MY OWN ACCOUNT and CHANGED MY ADDRESS!!!!!
£6 for something I have to do myself and then they charge me for the pleasure of it!! Complete SCAM!!
Use another service!! AVOID this one.

I was having issues with making payment, and within one hour of messaging them, I got a very helpful, friendly call from Simon, who immediately helped me and explained the steps moving forward.
Great service.

Simon was brilliant! Made it so easy to transfer ownership as other owner had computer problems. In fact rung up before to ask a load of questions when my dog had a litter and they were super helpful then too! Great staff

1) Very slow transfer service with no updates in interim.

2) Careful before buying the upgrade - it doesn't give you the full details unless you go hunting for it on the website first. After upgrade, it transfers you instantly to give engraving details with no transparency or information on what you are getting - so you aren't aware of the full details on other tag options you may want to consider, what the free tag looks like, nor the legal requirements that must be included on the tag. Customer service responded quick but were unhelpful and unwilling to resolve despite immediate contact.

Updated 4/Feb/2022: I've left the original review but changed from 2* to 4*. I had a good phone chat with Ben, the tag issue was discussed and will be resolved, and the 28 days to transfer ownership was explained.

We are a small rescue and have to use many databases for look up/transfer of chips. Some are better than others and PETtrac are one of the best without doubt. Nothing is too much trouble and their advice is clear and easy to follow. Makes our life so much easier, thank you!

I had my cat chipped at the vets who use pet trac. The whole procedure of activation by me was so simple. The company are very easy to contact

I am not computer friendly and Richard was delightful he talked me through the whole process gently and he is a credit to your organization

This microchip company is exemplary.
All the staff are extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable.

I always find pettrac easy to use & on the odd occasion when i have had to get in touch they have always been very quick & helpfully sorting it out. I have been in touch with them recently & today sorting two seperate issues and would like to give a big thanks to Callum who on both occasions sorted the problem out very quickly

My other dog is with a different database never any issues.
Through no choice of my own I have had to use this service with my new dog. They have so far taken over 3 weeks to change the details over to myself. It still states ‘trying to contact the former keeper’Which is a load of rubbish as the former keepers are my niece in law and nephew, who are yet to receive a request!!!
Update-After the really useless reply I wish I could give 0 stars.
I applied online and the previous keeper applied online yet you are sending a letter. Send an email!!! Get a grip this is so stupid. 28 days when I have the dog, insurance and vet from a family member. Yet you are fleecing customers for a crap service!! Plus I had the pleasure of paying before the transfer. UNPROFESSIONAL!! Speed up your service that we as customers have to pay for!!!
