Bought a property via PFK Cockermouth. Pauline was great from the beginning. She was easy to get hold of, responded to messages and emails quickly made contact with the buyers when needed. So many EAs are lacking in all of this - as we found out when house hunting - but PFK were great throughout. Thanks Pauline.

Outstanding service from start to finish!
We didn’t actually use PFK to sell our own property, but they were the agents for the house we were purchasing and they were excellent throughout. They were the ones who kept things moving and regularly updated us when we weren’t hearing anything from our solicitor.

The process took six months to complete, and I genuinely think we might still be waiting if it hadn’t been for PFK pushing things forward. Rebecca in particular was fantastic and did a brilliant job keeping everything progressing.

Our viewer Chris, was very helpful and I’d definitely recommend PFK to any Vendor.

I am dealing with multiple estate agents in the area due to relocating and others are either too busy or give the impression they don't care/are not helpful whereas my experience with Jenny is so personable. She understands how big a deal buying a new house is and really whats to help you find something that will suit your needs/make you happy rather than "a sale".

I have no hesitation in recommending PFK Penrith to other sellers. They marketed the house really well, with lots of viewers. I felt that I was in really good hands when negotiating decisions about offers and the many tricky aspects of selling the house. I really appreciated having someone allocated to support and advise me, Rebecca was always supportive and clearly had lots of expertise and Kat was the same for me in Rebecca's absence. PFK Keswick have honestly been amazing from start to finish. I’ve felt completely supported the whole way through, and nothing has ever been too much trouble for them. They’ve kept me updated, explained everything clearly, and always made time for me, even when things got a bit stressful.

We had the lovely Rebecca helping us along with our sale and purchase. Safe to say its been a rocky journey from start to finish but we finally got there and are moving into our dream home in time for Christmas. If it wasn't for Rebecca we certainly wouldn't be where are now getting ready to move. To say she went above and beyond for us is an understatement. We have had alot of ups and downs, but she kept the faith and the chain going. We couldn't be more grateful. It even got to the point where she knew my number when I rung the office we spoke that much! A huge thank you to Rebecca for helping us so much throughout this process, it has definitely tested me at times. You are a great asset to PFK and you are simply amazing at what you do. Our experience with PFK has been nothing but brilliant, specifically Kat who has been dealing with us throughout the whole house buying process. We are first time buyers and pretty clueless when it comes to house buying. She made everything feel simple and easy, nothing was too much of an ask, we were able to view the property as many times as we liked without feeling like a hinderance. We were told buying a house would be one of the most stressful time of our lives but with Kat’s reassurance and constant communication it has been completely stress free. Can’t thank you enough!!

PFK Penrith were fantastic to deal with throughout our purchase. Accommodating with viewing times and always available to answer questions we had, the ease of communicating continued through the negotiations to a successful purchase and subsequent requests for survey thereafter.

The pfk estate agents in Penrith were fantastic! Rebecca was absolutely brilliant, very knowledgeable and trustworthy, even though she was the sellers agent she helped me whenever I rang I was the buyer! I would definitely recommend PFK estate agents.

We had a long and difficult sale of our property in the Lakes with the sale falling through once at the last minute. Chris and the team at the Keswick office did their best to keep the subsequent sale moving, chasing sluggish solicitors, facilitating the eventual sale and keeping us informed throughout.
I think they were as pleased as we were when it eventually went through..

Called PFK offices in Cockermouth for an appointment to Value our Property. We were booked in a week later for the 26th February 2025. A Mr. M. Hewitt arrived slightly late and breezed in with no portfolio or note pad. Had a brief look around the house and Gardens and then sat down onto our Settee to tell me the that the valuation was approximately £60-80 K below a correct value.
He then told me that since the beginning of January 2025 he had sold 43 houses in Cockermouth which to me at this time of the year is highly improbable. Astounding assessment after 10 minutes. He then told me that he had indeed come to our house Circa 8 Years ago and did the same degree of undervaluation on this property. Since then we have spent in the region of £50K of upgrading. He also said that the market is worse now then it was then. I recalled this very aggressive and arrogant Estate Agent from that time. He was just as arrogant and aggressive this time round, did he come for revenge because I did make it clear at that time that his valuation was outrageously low. I was not rude but I was firm.

The thing that was probably glaringly obvious was this was the ugly face of Estate Agency.
In fact I have never met such a person in my life.
He even stated that Prices in Cockermouth were exactly the same as they were in Embleton!

How does PKF employ such a person?

Initial contact and eventual comms - ok. Hence 2 stars. Viewed a property, submitted an offer (a lot lower than the asking given work required and amount of time already on market), received no feedback. Chased to be told vendors were considering options, only to see the price reduced (again), without any revisit to my initial offer to negotiate. Personally, I wouldn’t sell via PFK after this experience.

PFK were absolutely great - getting the house onto the market quickly, doing an excellent job with the property details, managing and attending viewings and securing a good sale for us remarkably quickly. Julie, Charlie and Lesley were great to deal with and always responded quickly.
