I purchased the PhD Hispar 600 K series sleeping bag for 1500 €, expecting a high-quality product from this brand. I have been very careful with the product, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered multiple issues:

The stitching is defective, and feathers are leaking through the fabric.

The temperature rating of -20°C is completely inaccurate. I used it in temperatures as mild as -15°C and was freezing the entire night.
What’s worse, when I contacted customer service, they simply told me to return the product without giving any clear information about who would cover the return shipping costs. There was no offer of a solution or any real effort to resolve the problem.

I have used PHD for many years and they have always done an amazing job with so much enthusiasm and outside the box ideas, however I recently asked for a very small job which was for a logo for my new house name. They showed the same same amount of passion as they did for the big contract jobs and they smashed it! Me and my wife are so pleased and even had stickers made for our bins. Thankyou PHD you will continue to get my business and recommendations.

I sent a request to PHD and it is the first time that I have experienced excellent customer service. They advised me that as a veteran I was entitled to discount which was a bonus. It is refreshing to see a company reply to a message within a short time and with a friendly and professional approach. Keep up the excellent customer service.

Great product. Well worth the wait.
I have an Omega coat. Really warm and very waterproof. It's difficult to get clothes to fit me as i am almost 2 mtrs.
There site allows you to add to the sizes.
Giving you an almost made to measure item. They're really friendly and give great service

My family are fully kitted out with PHD down jackets and we have also purchased a couple of down sleeping bags. Quality is exceptional and amazing value for money. Recommended to many friends who have also bought and are delighted with the service, the quality and the price.

I have purchased a Down Jacket, Sleeping bag, Socks, Hat and Synthetic insulated Trousers from PHD over the last year. All have been a perfect fit, very well made and extremely light weight. I am extremely happy with everything. Just remember its quite often hand made to order, so I have had to wait for a month or 2 for delivery on occasions. You will get a reply and personal service if you do need to contact the company.
UPDATE. I have used all the above walking across Scotland on the TGO Challenge + for 3 weeks this year and various other trips and cannot recommend the products enough. Very impressed, every thing still looks and performs like new. I have purchased another lighter summer sleeping bag as well, also great.
Update. I placed an order on the 3rd November and received an e.mail just before Christmas saying they were extremely busy and it would be delivered in the new year, I said they were presents and they managed to get the items made and to me within days, even using next day delivery when its usually 3 to 5 days. I have found the office staff very helpful. Very Impressed. Thank You.

PHD Designs stuff is very good.

But oh my goodness is their service slow.

An order placed in December only arrived in February

With PHD Designs its best to plan ahead.

They say on their website up to 20 working days - but depending on the item and time of year it can be longer.

But there are random exceptions when you'll get your item sooner.

Like the weather its hard to predict.

Their staff are friendly - particularly Jacob who is much more helpful than the office people they used to have answering the phone. One of the stars is for his excellent customer service.

When the items arrive it is well worth the wait - well made, good quality and a good fit.
