Husband is a truck driver and we made a stop here in Sioux Falls, SD at the Flying J Pilot store and it was a disappointment. Needed to do laundry and the laundry room was disgusting. Very dirty like it haven't been mopped in days or swept since there was fabric sheets all over the floor. Then one of the washers was noisy and leaking water all over the floor. Easily can cause an accident if any customer was to come in without paying attention and fall. The bathrooms were also disgusting like they haven't been kept up with or cleaned as well. Was planning on taking a shower in the morning but I'm sure the showers are just as gross lol taking my business to Love's. They make sure everything is cleaned there.
Nazi Flashlight Cop
I am on a road trip with me and my buddies and we decided to stop at the flying jay in Salt Lake City, Utah to get some sleep. As we arrived we went inside and made purchases amounting in an estimate of over 150$ in store product and services. As we returned to our RV the security guard approached one of us and said we were not allowed to stay here over night because we had an RV, when on the flying jay website it clearly states overnight parking for free to all customers. Not only did he tell us we couldn’t stay here but he was very irrationally rude in his attitude towards us. At this point it was about 1am in the morning at it was a blizzard outside the weather conditions were not safe for us to be driving in, but yet he persisted to tell us to leave. This was by far the worst place we’ve stopped on our trip and will never return to pilot stores ever again do to this security guards unrelenting abuse of power and lack of compassion for his fellow man. If I could give a negative rating I would cause this guy would get a -5 star from us.

Never in my life have I ever had the worst customer service. Not only did they quickly jump to make sure I couldn't have a shower but they humiliated me. They were surprised when I went outside and got my husband who has a CDL come in and not only not purchase a shower. But we will never go there again. The staff is unbelievable rude.

Food
I used to come here for the chicken fried steaks. I came a couple weeks ago and ordered a small one. Bad mistake... there was not even any steak between the breading. I came today and ordered a large one. No taste.. tasted like a Sysco food order. What happened? I'm going to look elsewhere for a good chicken fried steak.
Got an omelet
Got an omelet. Looked very small. Truck stops, usually have ample portions. Not here.
It’s “all about that Brew!”
My favorite thing at Flying J /Pilot in Kingman is their “better than coffee shop” Toasted Coconut cold brew coffee. I tried it once & I was hooked forever! It’s perfect boldness and flavor is “review a gas station worthy”
I mean, who reviews gas stations???
