i read the reviews below . they are all basically accurate, i experience the same, for 15 years 2 surveys a month paying 3 each. then in maybe sept changed operation, and i got over 100 surveys to... See more

Used to be good, now terrible
I have been using Pinecone for a few years and it was excellent. I'd get maybe three surveys a month, which took 10 - 20 minutes each and always paid 300 points (£3).
Recently that all changed. They now offer surveys of similar length and only pay 75 - 150 points. Basically overnight they have more than halved the pay rates.
I enquired (to the ubiquitous "Karen Scott") and got an AI reply that didn't address the questions. Recontacted them and never received an answer.
Goodbye Pinecone, you used to be good.
Used to be decent, new website is horrible
Pinecone used to offer $3 in rewards points for every survey, and they usually averaged somewhere between 10-20 minutes in duration. Surveys were infrequent, but they were interesting and enjoyable to complete, I almost never disqualified and they were worth the point value for the time required. The minimum to cash out was also very low, so I could cash out regularly.
They've since updated their website, it's absolute garbage now. 20 minute surveys are worth (at most) $0.50-1.00, I get disqualified immediately from most of them, and there's barely any surveys available. The minimum cashout limit is $10. I'm quitting the panel, there are far better options that pay more for my time. It's a shame Pinecone went so far downhill.
Fall from grace
I remember joining this site years ago, $3 for a survey was nice, I'd get a few each week but it was a guaranteed quick buck for my time and effort. Now? I do get a lot of surveys, that's for sure, but they barely work, they will close immediately after getting the invite, they will tell me I'm not a match just by clicking, no questions asked and the worst offender yet, telling you the survey is closed or crashing the site after finishing the survey. I loved this website so much, but I guess nothing good lasts forever. It was a good run.
Really disappointed for longstanding members.
Really disappointed. I've been a member of pinecone for several years, and it was 1 of the best survey sites around. You'd regularly get surveys and product trials, every survey was paid at £3 and they were reasonable length usually between 15-45min (with most averaging 20-30) and you could get paid out from £3 too. I've just had a survey invite for a 15min survey that was going to be paid out at 70p and multiple profile surveys that took 20-30min each as they were rather independent that paid 5p each not to mention now looking at the pay out system it has gone up to £10 before payout which looks like it is going to take a long time based on the new rules and extremely low rewards payments.
Sites a joke after the new set up
Sites a joke after the new set up; can't qualify for anything and not even a dime if you don't like other sites. If you do manage to complete a survey then they tell you that you did not qualify. Fraud or incompetence, I don't know which one but Pinecone Research is not the same as it was thirteen years ago when I joined. I now just put the emails into spam because that is what they are. Stay clear of this one and live a happier life.
This survey website should be taken down…
This survey website should be taken down! No longer the reliable site it used to be, surveys close as soon as you click on them, even if they've only just come through, or you end up completing the survey - as I did a few weeks ago - reaching the end where it said 'thank you for completing the survey' only to then be shown a page where it said 'you
don't qualify.' Also the questions are often really weird, I got asked if I had travelled in a submarine lately. Are the people who run the survey on something? This website is DISGUSTING, they've ruined what used to be a great site. If I ever reach 1000 points - yeah right - I'm off, along with no doubt, many many other people! Pathetic.
Really awful setup
Really awful setup
Regular experience = receive invitation to a survey. Spend up to 30 minutes answering questions, then told you don't qualify.
Pity I can't give zero stars for them.
Was good, now awful
Wow. You used to get 400 points for a survey. Then it dropped to 300.
Now, it’s 75 points for wasting half an hour of your life on a survey.
It’s time the packed up and went home.
I've been with Pinecone for years
I've been with Pinecone for years , always prompt payers and regular surveys, since new website I'm screened out all the time or complete the survey then told at the end not a match, to top it all you now need 1000 points, no thanks, AVOID
Not worth it anymore
Been with this site for years, really not worth it anymore.
Since the update, majority of surveys are closed after only a few hours and if you are lucky enough to get into one it bins you out right at the end so you don't receive any compensation for your answers.
Used to love doing the surveys but…
Used to love doing the surveys but since the change I haven't managed to complete one - always screened out even after answering many questions like many others on here.
I currently have 730 points, earned by working on previous surveys, but can't redeem them as they've upped the minimum claim limit to 1,000. How can this be fair? I've earned those points!! I did email the customer care but got a pro forma email saying how to redeem points; emailed back but no reply as yet.
Anyone know where we can complain to? If we all file our legitimate grievances maybe they'll have to do something.
Sad shame it's gone down hill
Looking at all of the recent reviews, I don't think there's much I can add apart from yeah - I've been a member since 2019 and it really has changed for the worst. The latest changes which they trumpeted as being wonderful are absolutely terrible. The surveys may be more regular, but they pay less, take longer and constantly re direct you if you don't tick all of the (mainly difficult to see) boxes. I've immediately unsubscribed. Received a very brief email back without any questions why, sad to see this happen.
As people say it used to be good
As people say it used to be good, Now a waste of time, Removed a lot of my points i had saved ,about £70 with no warning & just replied it was in there terms,It never used to happen. Now the points are rubbish, was offered a 20minute survey for 25 point & out of interest started doing it,10 minutes in i don't qualify this has happend 3 time,Also click email for surveys & full,Avoid
Such a shame
This site was good, I wouldn't get many surveys but I was informed really early on in the survey if I wasn't eligible for it. Now I spend 20 minutes filling it out, they get the information they want and then tell me I'm not eligible and don't pay me. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour, pinecone used to be the pinnacle of survey taking, you had to be invited, now it's no better than the rest of them.
It's such a shame, I actually enjoyed doing their surveys but I think I'll be closing my account.
DISAPPOINTING AND A NO GO ....
Hey I write from Germany and after many years with this panel I will say bye bye !!!
After the update, new website few days ago, it*s waste of time+ PAYPAL IS GONE.. you will get from now only vouchers ... no more cash opportunity. I am very disappointed and when I read the comments in the last days here so I am not alone.
The changing is waste of time, no quality like before where you get always 300 points. Now you must collect much more points 1000 that you receive the goal for nothing. Pinecone you made a BIG mistake with the new style etc. I say many people will leave this panel incl me. Lost also points they didn*t give me few days before the new look + many members have now no chance to change their points for Paypal because Pinecone didn't mentioned anything that they will delete Paypal option, this is not ok and fair. So my advice, look for another panel ...
been with them for 6 years and company…
been with them for 6 years and company removed the app and promised a brand new amazing experience through their new website . that was a lie. they increased the minimum cash out for rewards. reduced the amount of rewards and use a website for the rewards which are just as crappy as they are. survey get emailed to you and within a minute are magically full. surveys cut out in the middle or you don't get points for rewards and their support talk to you like something off their shoe. avoid this website at all costs
Useless site
Useless site. I am still waiting to redeem my first set of points despite having completed several surveys. I discovered that 100 of my points had expired of which I was unaware. Recently I have been unable to access surveys despite responding quickly to e mail alert, and the customer service is hopeless. I have spent 10 mins completing what I thought was the actual survey only to be then kicked out as not eligible. Once (if ever) I manage to get to 1000 points and redeem a reward, I shall be leaving this as not worth the bother. I used to do face to face market research which paid much better
Please don’t waste your time joining! Quitting after over 15 years!
I have been a member of this panel for over 15 years and they used to be brilliant, paying out a nice £3.00 per survey and the ability to cash out at that amount almost instantly for PayPal. Now……. Since they have “updated and improved” the website, it’s gone to the dogs! Even the dogs wouldn’t want it. No more £3.00 surveys, lucky if you get offered a quid and surveys have all but dried up and if you get sent one you never qualify for it anymore, when it used to be a sure thing! You can’t cash out at £3. Now you need £10 and no more PayPal! If I ever reach the £10 cash out I will resign! Forget help with customer service as they don’t care about you! Please don’t waste your time joining what was once “THE” panel to join! Horrendously bad!
Shocking and deceitful
It used to be OK ( £3 for a few minutes of my time) but since the recent website 'improvements', it's pointless. Every survey I take, even after spending a few minutes answering their questions, it then says I'm not suitable or the survey is full or closed!? So I've been spending a similar amount of time and being rewarded with absolutely nothing. There are so many reviews stating similar and I find it shocking and deceitful that a company would treat loyal users of several years in this way. It's clear from this that they are now just data harvesting.
Waste of time
Same here. Been loyal to this for years. Good while it lasted. Won’t be bothering anymore. Quite literally pointless!!
