I purchased a console from their website and it is brilliant does exactly what it says. Loads of games to choose from and came with a great controller, the customer service is excellent as well. I also purchased their app too for gaming on the go on my phone! Defiantly recommend to anyone

In a nutshell: ordered ultimate console for a surprise wedding anniversary gift for my husband in January, after no sign of it being delivered (april) , got numerous emails saying I was 8 in a queue, then more emails. I really genuinely thought I had been scammed, but i have finally got my refund through last week.
In my heart of hearts I genuinely believe Dave and his team got bombarded with that many orders and what with the mishap of his suppliers it took its toll and the piretro name has been tarnished. I do feel however some of the comments are a little harsh. Ok granted, they should never of kept taking orders and money knowing they couldnt fulfill but please note that Dave has never once been rude to me and I respect Dave for responding to all the comments on here.
I feel if you are still waiting for a) a refund or b) a console then bear with them, it will come.
but my husband is finally happy as I got him a console from elsewhere but I really genuinely hope that Dave and his team bounce back because without them ( and others) the retro gaming era would be lost forever.

This device is brilliant
This device is brilliant. I've just managed to get it set up today and I'm hooked and spoilt for choice. Thousands of games across multiple formats to keep going for hours. The guys at PRG have done an amazing job with this and are willing to help with any problems. Definitely worth the money. My PS4 will be obselete for a while with this fantastic device.

Please bear with the guys - it's well worth it
I've just received my handheld console and I must say I'm very impressed. The build quality is as good or better than any Nintendo or Sony handheld I've used and the software has been carefully and thoughtfully designed and configured. It's very easy to set up, I was playing some of my favourite arcade games from back in the day in minutes, and the interface is very clear and usable too. I can totally understand the frustrations of other customers who have had to wait longer than expected for their consoles to arrive, but all I would say is bear with the guys, they have taken orders in good faith but regrettably have been let down by their suppliers. This has caused a lot of understandable frustration on both sides, but they're working hard to resolve the issues and deliver the machines as soon as possible. They're also very receptive on social media, answering queries quickly and helpfully, even out of working hours. The supply issues are unfortunate but hopefully they will be resolved soon, as, supply issues aside, these guys provide a fantastic service and the product is truly outstanding.

No product, no refund. Down £200 🤬
Could not supply the product I ordered and now say they are unable to issue a refund. Say I have to ask my bank to chase the refund.
States emails has been sent when I have not received any.
Very poor. I would recommend avoiding ordering from them.
Response to your reply: I can forward emails to, yours were in response to mine and only told me your problems and nothing about me actually getting my order. I tried patience but I will only go so far before I feel I’m being taken for a ride. You stated emails had been sent to me regarding my refund when they hadn’t. You continue to provide poor service and respond aggressively when people point out the kind of service you provide.

I suppose I’m one of the lucky ones who got their equipment back in September last year, however this is a big but, mine was late by over a month with next to no contact from them, when the package arrived there was damage to the hard drive due to them not wrapping the console and just putting it loose in the hard drive box, ok it was only cosmetic but that is not the point, the cheap and nasty Chinese knock off ps3 controllers have never worked wirelessly despite me buying a usb hub, luckily I have real ps3 controllers that work with it. I really feel for the people who have been scammed in recent months with no deliveries and constant excuses. What PRG are saying now to get your bank to do a chargeback is basically fraud. Now I believe that their app is not working now due to a “server issue”

Great console fast delivery.
Have had my arcade console for 2 years now and love it. Had no problems with delivery just before Christmas. Had a few concerns setting it up but was guided by the team to use the forums on the website to get up and running. Also great support for getting games to run if in difficulty. Thanks for all your help guys.

Waste of time and possibly money
Ordered my console early Feb and it came with a guaranteed delivery date that came and went. I chased it up and got an apology that their computer had changed the default delivery date in error. Product is coming, rest assured, but a few more working days needed.
I chased several more times as the product still didn’t arrive - sometimes getting a reply with excuses and other times not getting any response. Then they were just waiting on controllers. I said as they are supposed to be compatible with other controllers, ship me the product now and I’ll use an old PS3 controller until you can send the official controller... No reply.
Then came the email advising of my place down the back of the queue. Eventually I went with another company who got me a similar product within the week.
Went back to Pi to cancel my order and request a refund. Promised a refund within 15 working days (it is 2019 right? 15 working days is ridiculous in this day and age) and surprise surprise, no refund after 15 working days. I contacted Pi again to see if they could help and no response. So now chasing a refund with my credit card company.
Especially insulting as they continue to advertise on Facebook etc even though they can’t deliver on existing orders.
I don’t know what’s going on here. Maybe they used to deliver great products but certainly don’t now. There are others out there who can.
I would avoid at all costs. Not worth the hassle and you may lose your money. Total nightmare. Wish I had checked reviews on here before I went ahead with my order!

Lucky to get one star, I ordered a console for £195 on 15th January.. guaranteed delivery by early February to then be told it would be another 4 weeks, when it came to it I was told I was 386 in the queue but then the following week to be told they are “taking a break” and refunds would have to go through the bank as a fraud as the money is tied up in Chinese companies.... and hmrc have told them to stop trading?! I’ve luckily got my money back due to my father and his great advice and knowledge of this type of scam but I would not recommend this company as it is a possible fraud!!

Great product and service
I put my order in before Christmas and after waiting a couple of weeks I decided to check in to make sure it would arrive before Christmas as it was a gift for my boyfriend. I received a reply quickly to reassure me and the console did arrive in good time.
My boyfriend was delighted and it kept him quiet for a couple of hours on Christmas Day!
I’ve been reading the bad reviews on here and just wanted to add in a bit of positivity as they were really kind to me and helpful and I have no complaints at all.

AVOID THESE THIEFS!! Am waiting over 5 months for a refund in which time I have been ignored, accused of being a Troll and refused access to comment on their fb page. Product arrived pretty much broken, most games wouldn't work with one just showing an April Fools Day message! When contacted we were advised to buy a keyboard (at our expense) and when this didn't work we returned (recorded delivery) and waited for a refund. Do bear in mind they state a 30 day money back guarantee without fail. Well 4 months now and excuse after excuse. When posting messages onto their FB page asking why we were yet to receive our money back we were quickly removed and all comments deleted. Created another profile just to chase and again removed and comments taken down! Im happy to share all messages as screen grabbed as they stall and blame 'algorithms and encourage you to contact your bank as opposed to issuing as refund themselves. Just ask for details and \i will share. ITS A SCAM!! Am speaking to Ombudsman who have confirmed they are being investigated, watch this space! I have receipt and order number along with full proof of purchase available at anytime should the 'seller' attempt to dispute the review as I'm told is common practice from him. A quick update..Pi Retro Gaming (and I'm not making this up) in a Twitter exchange included the business I work for in the thread! Increasingly odd and erratic and I suppose his goal was to get me fired or embarrass me for being a victim of crime which is simply laughable. I have full proof if needed and to reiterate, I have full receipts, order number and full confirmation of lack of refund dating back 4 months if needed. WOW! UPDATE...What a charming foul mouthed response from Pi Retro, strange as you tried to dispute this review with Trust Pilot stating we hadnt bought anything from you. At least you have admitted to supplying defective products and contacting my employer on Twitter in an alarming move on your part. If in doubt folks look at all the replies and count how many time the words 'Dear valued customer' or 'Please accept my apologies' appear to all complaints! NONE! You are NOT dealing with an efficient, customer orientated org here people, you are dealing with a charlatan with a welding iron and other peoples money operating out of a spare bedroom who will BLAME YOU if you dare complain! Also check out 'Real Retro Gaming' on Facebook for others affected and if you need support, there are an alarming amount of us who have been swindled like me and my wife and for those that have received something many are now reporting that they are now broken and worthless. If you believe that this product is legal also it maybe worth looking up the licensing laws and the recent statement from Nintendo. Pi Retro have informed me that this is legal though as they have 'a solicitor'!! To end, our bank have stated we aren't in a position to reclaim unfortunately and Pi retro are refusing to action a refund despite sill advertising a 30 day money back guarantee. COWBOY!

I made the mistake of not reading…
I made the mistake of not reading Trustpilot reviews initially.
I ordered my console on the 27th of February.. It had a 'Guaranteed' delivery for the 6th March.. Well obviously that didn't happen and when I queried my order I was told the Plug in was playing up and that It was now just on back order. Being a reasonable person I accepted this as genuine and decided to be patient.
I was then told I'm 17th in the queue, again OK - I shall wait but I was going away for a week and really wanted to take this with me. That's why I ordered it originally - I explained if it couldn't be delivered in that time frame that I would rather have a refund and use the money to entertain myself some other way while I was away. Well I was promised it would ship that week... And TaaDaa! Guess what, No console & No Refund...
A real shame because I was looking forward ti actually using the product.
Now I'm going to have to get the bank involved etc

- In your email last week I was No.1 in the queue to receive a console but one wasn’t sent out but yet you claimed in your email, “I have been drip fed stock and sent them out”.
- most business’s put 20-25% aside for their tax bill, why didn’t you?
- why are you still accepting orders if you can’t honour the statutory 30 days to deliver it?
- why is your website still up and running if you have ceased trading?
- why are you still able to purchase units from your website if you have CEASED TRADING??
You may have a great product but just look at the reviews on here, you have absolute zero business acumen and you shouldn’t be allowed to run a business and I shall be reporting you to the trading standards very soon.

This is second review as I've had product over 7 months , the app started off with promise but then after few months nothing was added excuse after excuse , then before Christmas on there selling page telling ppl they would get there consoles before Christmas, when if you belonged to there fb group which was for customers it was well known it would not be the case as ppl had already waited 3 months ,if someone was to mention it on the comments on the selling page about would be deleted, this was so underhanded.Its since emerged that they stopped making consoles 2 months ago but was still taking ppls money , the company looks like its folded putting 100s ppl out of pocket due to bad business decisions and deception.

Ordered on 1st December 2018 and finally gave up waiting following excuse after excuse last week and put in a refund request. Also let the bank know so I could open a VISA dispute. Now it looks like they've gone under...
They appear to have started with good intentions and everyone who received a product was pleased, but it all went sour around Christmas 18 when they got in over their heads...
**Update**
This review was subsequently challenged by the owners and was removed temporarily. I have provided evidence (willing to provide this to anyone else who might ask for it) and it has now been reinstated. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE COWBOYS. Whilst I had sympathy originally, I’m now convinced that they are either trying to scam people or are just recklessly taking money and orders with no way to fulfil them. The rating on this site is mostly positive as they are challenging all negative reviews and when this is done, the review is taken down until the person provides emails/bank statements etc. Most people won’t go to this effort, so the negative reviews that once showed are no longer visible.
Please, don’t do it, buy from somewhere else.

Appalling treatment of genuine customers, and even returning customers being scammed for cash. One excuse after another, even trying to say they have sent orders out when they know this is false information. The lucky ones who paid on credit cards might have a chance of refunds (orders +£100) ... but i feel for those who paid on debit cards, or who have been waiting for months for their consoles ... basically, you probably wont get any delivery, nor any refund..........
In response to your reply, its interesting how you didnt mention in your mail that you told me many times that my console had been despatched (when clearly it had not) ... and then went on tto try to tell me that it could take up to 2 months to arrive from Royal Mail .... also interesting how the refund which you claim was processed did not arrive, and is not even flagged in the systems anywhere .... so now the bank are going to have to refund .... well done
