Stole my money. Ordered a console in March 2019 for around £200. Almost immediately emails were circulated about the company being scammed themselves by the Chinese company that made their hardware and that they now had to sell more consoles in order to fulfill old orders. This happened within a week of my purchase and I knew I'd lost my money from that point.

Apparently joined a queue for my console at number 358 or something, but again this was a lie. I don't doubt that they get consoles out to some lucky people in 4 days to maintain a customer base that will stick up for them, for whatever reason my name was placed on the 'We don't give a #### about this guy' list. What is most galling is that their adverts are on heavy rotation on Facebook and Instagram, likely at considerable cost and talking about the customer receiving the console in 4 days. The comments on those ads are clearly checked often and any dissent deleted as all of the people on there know nothing about the company and are interested.

I should also point out that in these occasional emails we are told not to post anything negative of Trust Pilot or elsewhere because then they can't make the sales they need to make up the shortfall. Obviously I knew that was BS. They email periodically in order to keep you on the hook long enough that if you purchased by credit card you can't get your money back. I've been told on successive occasions that my order is only a week away, but I knew that wasn't true.

To be clear, £200 is not a lot of money to me, particularly as it left my bank account 5 months ago and is now long forgotten financially. But I don't forget, and I'm very aware that it is a lot of money to most people who might be gifting people for Birthdays or Christmas and the item doesn't ever come and the Chinese have stolen their money so refunds are impossible. Anybody who is considering purchase and reads this first make sure you DO NOT BUY from these people. I would give zero stars if it was an option because theft isn't worthy of one.

Ordered my classic console just a few weeks ago and despite a slight delay with delivery, the console arrived yesterday and it works great.

As I said, there was a slight delay with delivery but Ben at PRG kept in touch with me every step of the way and was a massive help.

I get the impression that Ben and Dave are part of a small team who are dedicated to their service and that some issues a few months ago caused a knock on affect that they are now getting on top of. If you're one of the people who ordered one of the higher end consoles and has been waiting a bit then my advice would be to hang in there, you won't regret it. I can confirm that this is a real business, selling real products and those who claim it's a scam are totally wrong.

Great gaming app, covers loads of systems and takes away the stress of configuring emulators and games...very user friendly system..

Not sure if this is the correct site for this review. But I purchased an odroid from retro gaming house a company in UK and US and the system was faulty. The company claims no quibble returns. Not only was equipment defective but the company was difficult to work with and they essentially robbed me by not refunding my $40 shipping cost, which they said they would pay. They did refund the console.

This is as good as it says ..retro gaming rules .. excellent ..

Avoid. Order placed in March but still not received it. He explained he's had financial problems with his supplier. He keeps saying he will fulfil the order but will not give any dates and his updates show very little progress to reduce this backlog. He will not refund my money.
He is selling again now giving priority to new customers so anyone who orders may get their unit but I would not trust him. Its clear that if he has any issue with supplying the goods he will keep you money and not deliver.
I would recommend you don't order anything from this company.

After posting the above review Pi Retro gamming responded with the response below. They also recognised me and sent me a personal message stating “dropping that trustpilot review will cause problems with sales”. Five days later they objected to my review and trustpilot said that “piretrogaming.com has reported your review because they don't believe you've had a genuine buying or service experience”. They basically said I had not ordered from them. I sent Trustpilolot my invoice and many emails and the review has be restored. They objected to my review just to get it removed to make them look better. Looking at other reviews on here it looks like they are doing this to any poor reviews. If they do this, are the good reviews genuine or are they making them up?

As for them saying they have not refused a refund they have. I asked for an immediate refund as they have taken my money and not sent me the goods as agreed. They said they can’t refund but will do so when they can afford it. Under sale of goods laws they have no legal right not do an immediate refund.

They have recently sent out emails to me and other in my position stating that they have had problems with new suppliers, deliveries and their recent emails are recommending we use chargeback. This is where we get our banks to get our money back. This company is in financial difficulty and not to be trusted.

I didn’t know if it was too good to be true but omg it’s so true this console is phenomenal so many games all runs smoothly any set up issues were sorted out with a quick message to the boys all in all 5 stars from me. You won’t find anything else better than this for retro gaming. Best 200 quid I’ve spend in ages! Keep up the good work chaps

I ordered the superior console recently and although it arrived slightly late, the company were quick to respond to my queries and have offered support where I have needed it. Set up took a little more time than a console but not too long. I have played a number of games which appear to run well. 99% of games have worked and I have been offered solutions to those that don’t. Overall very happy and product is exactly what I expected.

After a couple of days delay which can happen I received my order today.
I absolutely love it and you can even use it with a PS4 controller.
So happy with it.

Fantastic service from Pi Retro. I purchased the app first and very quickly decided I wanted a console. Both have taken over my life in the last couple of weeks and I can't recommend them highly enough. My console arrived promptly and despite a couple of teething issue's it's been an absolute joy playing all the games from my childhood and discovering all the ones missed, so many games that I'll probably never get to play them all.
The guys at PI retro have gone out of their way to help me with setting everything up and helping me resolve a couple of things that needed tweaking. They always respond quickly and informatively to my questions and it's great knowing they are always on call to help out with any software or hardware issue's. I'm already considering purchasing another console for a family member who I know will just love it.

If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy one then I say just go for it, you won't be disappointed. I can highly recommend both the app & console, they go great hand in hand and will give you years of nostalgic fun!

I can’t praise PRG highly enough. They are honest and the products they are selling are fantastic. Not only that, the after sales care is brilliant. I had a console from 2 years ago which developer a problem with the memory card. Got in contact with them and they rectified it for me, free of charge.

An honest bunch working on a small budget trying to deliver a very in demand product. Take the plunge and you won’t be disappointed with the product they are rolling out.

Cant fault the pi retro gaming/Dave or Ben. I ordered a superior console (of which they were able to work with me regarding paying for the item) delivered within 7 working days of placing the order.

Ben kept me in the loop regarding a minor delay but it only held the console up by a day in the end. I've spent the past 3 hours playing old sega megadrive and ps1 games and the system has work flawlessly.

Please ignore the reviews that call these guys a scam. They are not!!! I was kept in the loop regarding any delays/at no point did I feel nervous when placing the order. (The active Facebook page for the store and the app is enough to prove otherwise)

Ordered in Feb with a 'guaranteed' delivery date of 5th March, I've still not received anything, just lie after lie on email. They are still advertising on social media a delivery of 4 days. I've had to contact my bank to open a fraud investigation against them. Do not buy this product from them I beg you. All of their 5 star reviews are clearly false and added by friends and family.

I have to give a 5* review, because after 6 months of pi-retro and myself being tried and tested they came up with the goods of my Superior. Dave and Ben have kept in touch all the way,. So to those that are still waiting for their Superior, be assured from me alone you will get your console. Well pleased with the kit , and having lots of fun. Well Done Dave and Ben for your commitment, continued hard work, and honesty.

Bought this app months ago and absolutely love it.
I have it installed on all my online devices to give me the opportunity to play when I get time.
Love the old Atari stuff and particular the Atari 800 XL and XE games.
Brings back many happy memories of my childhood.
Whilst I like to spend plenty of time using the app it has rejuvenated my love of retro and early 1980s games and cannot recommend enough that for the small price to pay how much value for money you get.
Any serious retro gamer would be letting themselves down by not using this app.
I find myself returning day after day and keep finding games I had not played for many a year.

Given access to the app while waiting for delivery on Superior console. The app is wonderful and gives you access to 1000s of games across a variety of systems, including Sega, Nintendo, Commodore, Atari, etc. Works on any Android-based device, including phones, tablets and Fire Stick. The app is slick and easy to download and install from the PRG App webpage. Just ensure you enable permission to install on your device. Lots of support available on their Facebook page. Best value app you can buy.

Bought the arcade console the other for a mere 80 of your earth pounds and I must say its the best £80 I've spent in a long time! The machine is well built, robust, sleek and tiny! Packed with over 25,000 games for pretty much every console I had as a child. Minor teething problems to begin with when mapping buttons (a wee instruction book or a video on their site would have been good to get round this) but the guys messaged with a solution within minutes of being asked. Helpful guys always in hand and willing to help. One that sad sorted it was literally plug and play. I would urge everyone to pick one of these up. I'll be taking mine to my local pub this weekend for day of gaming and reminiscing. Great stuff.

Absolutely fantastic package. As one or two reviewers have said, not every game works 100%, but where else can you play 32X games in 2019!?

The NES, SNES, Megadrive etc. are all great as well, but it's the hidden gems from the Master System, Amiga, Lynx etc that make this stand out for me.

You should get a Bluetooth joypad to get the most out of it, but for £15 for the app and the same again for a half-decent controller, I've turned my S9+ into my go-to gaming device.
