Went into the Crawley branch this evening 27/06 , firstly asked to be seated away from the air-con as it was sssooo cold !!!!!! So ordered 2 Slow-cooked pulled chicken, béchamel sauce, mozzarella, basil & pine kernel pesto, spinach and slow-roasted tomatoes. Served with salad and house dressing… which is called the”calzone” !!! It’s a pizza bread folded in half with the smallest piece of chicken 2 tomatoes and loads of sauce ( yuk ) if you laid the bread out like a pizza the chicken wouldn’t be enough for a quarter !!! never again at £16.95 and the 1st one was cold so had to go back which by then the person I was with had finished there’s , I’m thinking mine was standing waiting for the other one to cooked hense why cold , the house salad was just a bundle of greens fit for my tortoise!!! … so not a enjoyable evening food wise .. shame on you pizza express.

This was at PE Gatwick airport.
Service quite bad, they asked me if I wanted chilly or garlic oil I said yes, they didn’t bring it I had to ask for it, bringing things and replying with bad vibes, the pizza didn’t even come cut! Like I’m paying £14 for a margarita and when I asked for a properly knife to cut it they said “that’s the knife pizza express has” (the one on the table) and left.
And then add service charge! HAH!
Ridiculous!

Great waiters and food. An enjoyable restaurant. Karun was amazing.

Waiting time 40 minutes
Two pizzas arrived burned, thickness of a matzah, very hard , unable to cut it. Topics was not as described in the menu. Waitress couldn't care less.
No apologise at all. When I told her it was not edible, she has answered : bill then, so I have paid and left.

Mohammad at the Stratford East London branch really went out his way to make me a very nice take-away cappuccino.

Went for an evening pizza. Slow service, but pizzas came quickly. Ate calzone which was strange compared with the italian original. Taste was ok, but not impressed.

I went last night, had a lovely pizza and wine with great company. It’s a real shame about the service, the young man who served us from the beginning to the end was absolutely ridiculous, he had 0 idea on how to do his job! Terrible!

I attended Wembley outlet restaurant on the upper floor today.
We wait for few minutes before one of the staff attended to us. Restaurant was empty she asked if we had a booking 🙄
My two young grandchildren,my daughter and I attended but were very disappointed With service and the food.
Order a large pizza the waitress bought small pizza after 15 mins
Than ordered another pepperoni pizza and American hot pizza with rocket salad
I had to ask for an extra chill
Also balsamic dressing had to request
nothing has changed,it is still tasteless uncreative.
Highly overated restaurant and very expensive
Both pizza tasted the same,waitress was too busy arranging table and chairs and cutlery on a empty already arranged setting
No attention was given to us

Don’t order the canneloni - it’s swamped with way too much Bechamel sauce, ended up with bechamel soup really. Really disappointed. Husband’s melanzana was excellent

We received such excellent service yesterday evening I just had to comment.
At 6pm were greeted at the check in point by Jane, the loveliest, most professional and caring person I've ever had the pleasure of encountering in a restaurant.
The restaurant was very busy on this Saturday evening and even though Jane seemed to be doing the job of at least 10 people she was attentive, remembered everything and still managed to be charming and funny!
She kept checking in on us and kept us informed about how long our meal would be.
We were out on a much needed date night and she made our experience an absolutely brilliant one.
The world would be a better place with more Jane's in it :-)

Pizza Express - Charing Cross

Worst experience ever at a Pizza Express. The service was SO slow (and no it was not busy) The food itself was average and to make matters worse my friends vegetarian pizza had chicken on it !!!!

The waiter could not care less, and his reply was I’ll tell the manager. Ok they did not charge us for that pizza but no explanation, no apology !!!

Really disappointed as usually Pizza Express are great but I won’t be rushing back to this one any time soon

We received fantastic service from the lovely waitress when we visited with our young children on Tuesday. She made our meal time easy and fuss free. Truly exceptional.

Not good Got rejected to times and 40 minuts for a pizza

We found a piece of a Pizza Express plate in a pizza - sharp at both ends. Luckily it wasn't swallowed - had it been the consequences could have been serious and don't bear thinking about.

Although everyone makes mistakes, Pizza Express' relative dismissal of the episode was shocking - they were sent the piece and admitted responsibility fully but showed hardly any remorse.

Having just arrived from a long train journey and had a shopping trip around Maidstone, we thought we would pop into Pizza Express Earl Street, to have a family meal. As we walked in at approximately 1.40pm, the manager walked up and as I asked if there was a table for four, he interrupted and said it was reservations only due to Mother’s Day (it was not Mother’s Day, it was the day before). He didn’t bother to check if he had any cancellations or indeed any free tables at all. He then turned to me and sarcastically said (and I quote), “ Have a nice Mother’s Day”. With the nastiest smirk. We stepped out, quite shocked and appalled at his behaviour. I then checked online and there was indeed free places and booked a table at 2.30pm. However, my family discussed it and were all so upset at his behaviour, we didn’t bother to return and so we ate elsewhere. We enjoyed a fabulous meal at Patisserie Valerie, were treated wonderfully and we thanked them generously for the staff’s service.
Pizza Express, our family will never visit any of your restaurants again. Patisserie Valerie A++++++++++

#3279 Ordered halloumi bites and Pizza with prawns, from stratford Pizza Express

Absolute disgrace, children living in the 3rd world would of been shocked by the portion size. For £6.79 a complete rip off. You can tell the person counted the prawns on the pizza, ...

Went out for lunch casey our waitress was friendly and so lovely
Food was perfect
Basingstoke pizza express has been re furbished to top class design and comfort
Nothing was a problem for the amazing staff who work here

Incredibly rude staff at 450 The Strand, London branch. Rudely accused of taking his photo (Why would I?). I did not. Showed him my photos on my mobile to reassure him did not take his photo. Might have been the glare from mobile screen when I took out mobile from pocket as I was waiting to be seated at the till. Don't know. He was satisfied no photo taken but no apology offered by him nor his 2 colleagues who were also by till just chatting to him, instead of seating myself. Still not seated as they went back to chatting amongst themselves so I left. Terrible customer service

Visited Pizza Express in Salisbury today and wished I hadn't!
Waited over 30 minutes for 2 basic dishes whilst the restaurant was almost empty.
Waitress started by bringing a carafe of water that was dirty around the outside, no apology given.
My wife's pasta dish was cold, my "Leggera" pizza was approx 9" across with a 5" diameter hole in the middle for the "salad", leaving very little pizza to eat!
I understand this was listed as a lower calorie option but £15.25?!!! The salad consisted of only rocket and cress leaves. Very poor value.
My wife visited the toilet only to return saying there was no toilet paper, no lock on the door, no loo brush and it was filthy everywhere!
Sadly the waitress did not have any people skills at all and was not suited to front of house.
The bill for this lunch came to almost £40 which is outrageous for the experience we had.
The restaurant was also cold and even the waitress had to resort to putting a coat on!
We were left feeling the chain must be on the brink of closure and will not be returning to Pizza Express again.
