Great customer service but really disappointed with the food. We visited Pizza Express because our child loves it but we could get much better pizza elsewhere. My pizza was soft (only just cooked) and... See more

Beware if you're looking for Gluten Free food
When they served my pizza I asked if it was a child's pizza, given it was half the size of everyone else in my family. No, gluten free pizzas come half the size as a standard. Why? Just because. The waiter asked whether I'd like to buy a 2nd pizza so I'd have an adults potion of food. You might say gluten free flour is more expensive. All flour is extremely cheap.
Tonbridge- awful if you are in the restaurant, great if you order by deliveroo
Went in early evening to celebrate my wife’s birthday and brought our 2 children (10 & 3) with us, restaurant was fairly busy and were shown to our table and the order taken promptly.
We asked that our 3 year olds food be brought out as soon as possible as he was already getting tired. His food arrived really quickly and was soon demolished, he then struggled to stay awake at the table while we waited for our order.
After an hour we asked where our food was only to be told that it was just being made and would then need to be cooked. 70 min after ordering our food arrived which had to be bolted down or left as our youngest was tired and cranky.
It seems that preference is given to the endless stream of deliveroo drivers that came in to collect orders and they are seen as more important than the guests sat in the restaurant. We would have been able to enjoy our food and ordered deserts if we hadn’t had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for our mains to arrive
When we complained, we were given money off the bill (but no apology) when I came to pay, the waiter said that any tip I decided to leave would go to him and not the kitchen staff. Needless to say that no tip was given as if our waiter had been attentive he would have realised how long we were waiting with a cranky child and chased the order up before we had to
The most important customers are the ones who choose to come and sit in the restaurant, not the ones who sit at home and order their food on an app.
Pizza Express, you have your priorities all wrong!!

How to steal your money and not provide your order.
Pizza Express Speke-Liverpool. Tonight we ordered £50 pounds worth of food. Instead of two pizzas we received one and the Dough Balls had no Dip. The Piece of Cake we ordered had been thrown into the Box. When we contacted the Restaurant to inquire as to what had happened to the second pizza we were called condescendingly "Sweet-heart" by the Restaurant Manager Siobhan who explained to us that it was not their fault as they had provided the Driver from Just eat with the Pizza. Therefore we should call Just Eat. We attempted this and no number allowed us to get through to them. We purchased the Pizza from this company and they would not provide it. As a family we will not be using this company again. Siobhan provided nothing but poor customer support. Avoid like the plague. They don't deserve one star.

Pizza Express at 363 Fulham Road is an excellent place with friendly staff and fast service. Anna was amazing; she came around at the right time and asked if I needed anything.
Marcello, the chef, made an excellent pizza—the best I have ever had. I requested specific toppings, and it was exactly as I expected. I have been here several times and will definitely return.
The music is not loud and is very relaxing, a perfect combination with the friendly staff.
The place is clean and well-organized.
Keep up the good work.
Pile of Excrement
I always used to like Pizza Express as they generally used to offer a nice experience, a flavourful menu and a reasonable service. Unfortunately the Eldon Square, Newcastle branch crossed the line tonight. Having not had anything to eat all day I ordered a duo Romana Padana / Funghi with extra olives.
They say the best things come to those who wait, however this could hardly have been further from my experience as after 25 minutes, the dry, charred and sparse offering that arrived devoid of the olives I had ordered, and more closely resembled a grilled frisbee or a giant poppadum (with a spoonful of passata and half a mushroom) than a pizza was dumped on my table with all the finesse of a pig in a sty. I mentioned (quite politely) that I had ordered my pizza with olives and the waitress said she would need to "check." I am not sure what exactly she needed to check (other than perhaps her appalling attitude) as I most definitely ordered olives. The person that had taken my order was a young guy in his early 20s with a mullet hairstyle and numerous tattoos, and I distinctly recall ordering the extra olives. He was actually OK and at least could be human and communicate politely. The waitress returned and, without any acknowledgement or even a word of apology, said that they could cook some olives and bring them out to me. I found the way just said this to be a little strange, however I agreed. She then walked straight off, without offering any pepper, condiments etc. I found this extremely rude and after one or two minutes, got up and walked over to her and asked if I could have some pepper and garlic oil, to which she replied: "yes", however she then proceeded to talk at some length to her colleague, and showed no sense of urgency or care whatsoever. I waited a further one or two minutes and then my patience snapped and I decided to just leave. Upon leaving, I said to her: "This isn't going well at all, is it?" and I left without eating or paying anything.
I doubt she cared. Her attitude absolutely stank. I can usually forgive little things that go wrong, and had she shown a slightly more respectful, or even borderline professional attitude with some basic courtesy I might have been a little more accommodating, however she couldn't give a damn, and the little treat I had hoped would round off a difficult day turned out to be a nothing more than a pile of excrement.
I don't expect people to worship the ground I walk on or be fawning or fake, however I would hope that they could at least offer some basic courtesy. I suppose I should be grateful she didn't take the pitiful pizza and throw it at me! I really did not like her vibe, and if she treats other people even half as badly, she is most definitely in the wrong job.
This is not the first time I have experienced bad service here, however like I said, I can let things slide so long as the meal is basically OK and they haven't done anything beyond the proverbial pale. As it goes, this is the last straw. The food was badly prepared and served up with a side helping of rudeness and indifference that on top of everything else just got my goat. The fact that I was also very hungry didn't help the situation. I have deleted their app and I will not set foot in another one of those restaurants again as long as I live. I could replicate their menu at home with relative ease, therefore if I cannot get a decent standard of food and service in a restaurant, why would I bother? In fact, why would anyone?

I can’t believe they can even describe this as a pizza!
Went here for my Grandson's birthday last night, the first time I’ve been here. Well, what I received as a pizza was shameful! The thinnest, limpest excuse I’ve ever seen, to add insult to injury they added £47 service charge! I had no glass for my water, had to go and ask for a serviette for my Mother and my Daughter in law had to send her carbonara back as it was tasteless. I can’t believe anyone goes there to eat and we certainly won’t be returning after being taken for some £400 between us.
To help you get better reviews Pizza express, just nip down to Lidl buy a load of their £2.25 takeaway pizzas bang them in the oven and serve them, job done!
I expected a delightful pizza…
I expected a delightful pizza experience this bank holiday, but what I received was a cold, unappetizing disaster. It's clear that the chefs at Pizza Express Harrogate lack pride in their work, raising serious concerns about the kitchen standards. A mere 20% refund from Deliveroo only highlights their indifference to customer satisfaction. This level of service is unacceptable. If I wanted a cold pizza, I would have ordered it a day in advance! Next time, I’ll take matters into my own hands and cook my own hot, delicious pizza. It's time for Pizza Express to step up and ensure quality in every order.
Meal before visiting Shepherds Bush Empire
We visited Pizza Express Rockley Road before going to Shepherds Bush Empire perfect as just minutes away. It wasn't very busy, but the staff and food were perfect. Our waiter Marcelo was very attentive and helped us move to a larger table on his advise as we had ordered pizza with sides and he said it would be better to have more room.

Brentwood Delivery: The worst company I have ever dealt…
The worst company I have ever dealt with - and I have dealt with a few! My daughter loves their pizza and has to eat gluten free, so we go back - but really? The website is pants, which I pointed out. Unchanged. Tonight we returned from our holiday. My middle child, who lives with autism, wanted to go to our local Indian. My daughter - again - wanted a Pizza Express delivery. After ‘talking’ my middle child down, we ordered pizza. Ten minutes later, we received an email saying our order had been cancelled. No explanation. Couldn’t call, they don’t answer. They had taken payment and they tell me it may take 10 days to reimburse me.
I had to explain to my confused son - ‘No pizza, but Indian!’
How do they stay trading?
Awful, awful, awful…
Gary, Brentwood
The F&B department has no clue
I visited the restaurant at Welcome Break services in South Mimms. The first point: drop the prices down. They are not worth the food you are serving.
The second point: when you serve the food at the price you ask, can you at the very least google the pictures of what it should actually look like?!
I ordered cannelloni the other night. Whatever came out at the price of £15.90p(!) looked like half a lasagne topping. I was still hungry after having this mess, and ...yeah, it was a mess. NOT cannelloni.
Poor Pizzas
What has happened to you Pizza Express your pizzas have gone from some of the best we have had and we used to love PE as we called but now omg they have been Terrible lately limited toppings and completely tasteless
Worst pizza of my life (Bracknell)
Worst pizza of my life!!!
Sadly I have to rate it so they get 1 star too much.
Ordered two large pizzas from pizza express lexicon in Bracknell, got home ready to eat only to find both pizzas were as thin as a piece of paper! No exaggeration whatsoever, I can't believe pizza can even be made that thin, suffice to say you cannot even hold it up to your mouth, it simply flops down like a piece of paper.
What an absolute rip off, almost £40 for paper thin rubbish.
Shame on you, I hope your doors close soon, you're ripping people off.
I'll never set foot in that place again!.
PIZA
I stopped by pizza express,Gatwick on my journey to Columbia,Medellin.
I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the staff and was promptly seated, my ordered was taken by Reece who made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
Drinks arrived swiftly with the food not long behind and I enjoyed every slice.
Great pizza establishment, Great staff.
Food good but staff couldn't be bothered
We visited Pizza Express in Bury.St Edmunds today and being a lovely day we asked if we could have a table in the garden (there's a notice on the front door advertising the garden). We were told there were no tables and no one anywhere near finishing.
I then used the downstairs restroom and could clearly see at least 3 available tables outside.
I mentioned then and was then offered a table outside in the full sun and I asked if we could take the vacant table under the awning I was told the staff didn't have time to clear it! In the meantime clearing of other tables was taking place.
I was so unhappy about this but didn't want to make a scene so just accepted this.
The food however was delicious (not always the case in Pizza Express) but it left a nasty taste just because they couldn't be bothered!
Terrible customer service!

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at Pizza Express, marked by rudeness and unacceptable behaviour. We had reserved a table for five people for today. Upon arrival, I was waiting for someone to escort us to our table. One of my friends went to use the restroom, but unexpectedly, someone (who I believe was the restaurant manager) stopped him. This person rudely informed my friend that he couldn't use the restroom. When I explained that we had a reservation, he replied that it didn't matter and that we needed permission to use the restroom. This was highly disrespectful.
Ultimately, we decided not to dine there. I will never revisit Pizza Express.
Used two free £10 gift vouchers
I had two free £10 gift vouchers which I received from OMAZE. As I shop in Gerrards Cross, thought it would be good idea to get a takeaway for lunch. Didn't fancy a pizza so I went for the "Prawn Peperonata". It was awful.
The sauce was not made from fresh ingredients but tasted like it came out of a tin. Also, there were about 4 or 5 small prawns.
See Google review for the photos.
Notice that there was no "fresh parsley or a slice of lemon" not that that would have made any difference.
For £15.95 is was not worth it. The restaurant was empty (3pm Saturday) apart from a table that has two women with three children.

Went into the pizza express in bury the rock Lancashire and josh served me and my partner. We explained we had an issue last time and he was very understanding. His service is absolutely 5 star very polite, very helpful, and we will definitely be going back , to be honest there isn't alot of places with good customer care. Thankyou again josh for your first class service
What a pathetic excuse for a pizza
What a pathetic excuse for a pizza - was expecting a 'loaded' pepperoni and basically got a minimal cheese pizza with 6 tiny pieces of pepperoni on it - total waste of time and money.........................NEVER AGAIN
