Double charges a SKAM!!

They are charging each month but I don´t have the unlimited service two months from now. Also they are not sending my receipts and They tried to charge to my card annual subscription! (my bank contacted me ). they already charge me but they want more! Support is not helping at all, i have several reports. DON´T USE THIS!

Charging for full year allthough I cancelled a long time ago

I cancelled my subscription over 6 months ago after the last billing cycle because they charged me for a whole year with 0 reminders. Now I am being charged again for another year? How the hell do I cancel this subscription? I just had to order a new card in order to stop this. I hope you see this so I can get a refund, because I really cannot afford this...
I would suggest others to be careful signing up.

Scummy Subscription

Edit: Changed to two, because they made an exception to policy and refunded this year. It really should be a legal requirement to notify the customer via email or text every time a subscription charge is about to be made. Fortunately the majority of companies already do this.

Scummy, did not email every year with auto renewal charge. I planned on only using for one year. I canceled it my first year. Just realized this year checking my bank account weekly that they were still charging me.

You can't trust and company with underhanded practices like this with a subscription.

I'm so PO with this platform!!

I'm so PO with this platform!!

Yes, they have tons of mockups and a diversity of models.

But, what good does that do when their platform doesn't work???

I've been attempting to sync Placeit with Printify for over a week without success. They give me the same speech: " Clear your browsers and cache, use Chrome in incognito."

When I advised them that it still didn't work, they told me that "I can always go directly to their website and download what I need."

What a horrible, time-consuming inconvenience!! In addition, when I go directly to their website, I'm only sometimes able to utilize the mockups, and it's extremely slow. I've tried from two computers and my cell phone. I've tried it in incognito mode using the Chrome browser. I've deleted my cookies and cache. This is a worthless P.O.S. and a waste of $80.00.

Also, after paying $80, I can't use Placeit in Canva without the watermarks. smh

While I understand that Placeit is working on the integration issue with Printify. This is a huge inconvenience to me and my business.

In addition, I'm out of nearly $80 for a service that isn't fully operable.

Update 3/15/25: I can't even log into the platform outside of Printify, with Google or without Google.

I reached out to Placeit over 72 hours ago and requested assistance and a partial refund. No one has responded. 🙄

I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the CPFB.

I rate it as very good

I rate it as very good, because it is the one I use the most to get good mockups, what I actually find are very few clothing videos, and what I don't find is a tutorial or something that explains how to use more than one design in the same photo, because when I apply a design in a multiple mockup it doesn't give me the opportunity to apply the other one. For the rest, it has served me very well, although I think I don't master the application well, I need to know it more. Thanks.

Misleading at first but very good product and customer service

Misleading when making payment. Was advertised that there is monthly payments but defaulted to annual. Require a refund EDIT: customer service were very good and refunded the money to my account. Changing this to 4 stars as the actual product is very promising

Totally disappointed with this platform

I have been charged for a full year plan when it was advertised for a monthly plan subscription, and what it's even worse is that I can't even benefit from it. It looks like I have a free account even though I was charged around $100. I went through emails to check which email address they sent the invoice over, double checking if the subscription was under a different account but nothing seems to work.

Im just gonna say it: wtf is up?

Can we just be honest here? I feel like there is a huge issue being overlooked by all the great reviews and relentless POD YouTuber promotions.

First, Ill give credit where credit is due: Yes. Placeit has a HUGE database. By far the most impressively large collection.

I also appreciate the social diversity of their collection.

But what good is a huge and diverse database when 90% of the mocks are horrible? And by horrible, i mean ugly.

Why does every guy in a ringer tee look like a serial killer? To that end, what's with all the pics of women drowning? Um what?

If you want your mocks to look like a "who's who" of embarrassing photos from the 1970/80s then go to placeit

And where is the quality control over AI photos? Zero scrutiny whatsoever; anything their AI spits out gets posted.

All this to say- where is the RELEVANCY? Almost ZERO of what they have is "sellable"

Whether it's bad posing, terrible image placement, awful AI, or sheer irrelevancy to the culture of sales, the VAST majority of PLACEIT MOCKS DO NOT SELL PRODUCTS.

I mean, just scroll Etsy, POD websites, or anything similar...Youll find maybe 1/150 listings are mocked by placeit. Why? Because their photos are dated, unattractive and UNFLATTERING...not to mention disturbing.

Seriously, placeit mocks are full of characters who belong in horror films...NOT SALES.

Last but NOT least, much of their imagery is poor quality; even with the correct pixel sizing.

The ONLY reason I still use them at all is for the occasional video (if i can find one with decent quality) and a handful of their older (human) photos.

If they want us to pay for this, then provide mock ups THAT SELL PRODUCTS.

Full Circle: what good is a huge inventory when that inventory WONT SELL YOUR MERCHANDISE?

Took me 15 minutes to see not for me...

Took me 15 minutes to see this is not for me. Although they have a decent stock collection, something brutally simple like resizing text or moving it around was not found. When I used the tshirt mockup, the initial shirt graphic can be seen somewhat but adding additional graphics became a pain and having to guess where it will end up on the app and then additional components can only be hidden and not deleted which is annoying. Became useless to me very fast. My advice for Placeit, learn from Kittl on its graphic placement. No overlay and no glitchy delay rendering nonsense.

Once contacting support they wanted to offer me the month and pro-rate the monthly; I highlighted I did not download anything and they gave me the full refund. Why the delay? Q&A section very generic and the contact methods scream of cheap and dodgey.

***Also if Placeit! cared to reach out and dialogue about my issues, as they are replying here, they should have done so when I initially requested refund as an actual customer, as I did explain why. What that communicates to me is they wish to appear more helpful to the public, but not so much to the customer. Step it up Placeit!

Continues To Charge Me After I Told Customer Support MULTIPLE Times to Cancel my Subscription

Edit: Customer Support continues to avoid and only offering 1 month refund. Still not sending proof of cancellation.

Support is extremely shady!! I reached out to customer support to cancel my subscription while asking for a refund because I mistook the wording of their “monthly” fee. ( This is already 1 of many red flags of this company ) They did not cancel it and proceeded to charge me!! I tried cancelling on my own back when I first realized they charge you the full year—not month to month—but my account says free account and so there was NO option to even cancel my subscription which is the whole reason I emailed customer support. ( I have screenshots of my account as proof that there was no way to cancel, also emails asking to cancel my subscription MULTIPLE times which this rep responded to ) The customer support rep continues to not answer why he did not cancel it when I originally asked him to back in September. He suggested that it was my fault because I needed to do it through the website even though he was made aware that I couldn’t so that’s why I was charged and I needed confirmation of cancellation, EVEN THOUGH IT WONT LET ME and that’s why I reached out to him in the first place! But yet AFTER I get charged and called him out on it he actually writes in email that it would be cancelled..I asked multiple times during first conversation so that it was made clear that I wanted to cancel, but the rep did not do it and offered to only refund me 1 of the 3 months I was charged due to this error.
When I keep asking for him to explain why he did not cancel it when I first asked he keeps avoiding it.

Big Scammers - they will charge you 100 dollars and don´t refund!

displayed was $7.47, so I thought, great, I’ll subscribe for a month to get my work done. The shock came later when I saw they charged me $120 instead. Upon closer inspection, I discovered in very tiny fine print that the $7.47 price is only valid if you subscribe to an annual membership. This information was not easy to spot and felt deliberately misleading.

I reached out to them for a refund because I felt scammed. They responded with an invoice for a refund, but I still haven’t received it, and it’s been 2 weeks now. Moreover, I noticed the refund amount was lower than the $120 they initially charged, missing $20. When I asked why they kept $20, they said they couldn’t do anything about it.

I’ve been persistently following up, but the issue remains unresolved, and their support seems indifferent. I am demanding a full refund of the amount they wrongfully charged me. I haven’t used their service at all and don’t recommend it to anyone. This was an incredibly shady way to get money and feels like a scam.
