I had a really disappointing experience…

I had a really disappointing experience at Planet Fitness. The staff were not very helpful and came across as rude and dismissive when I asked simple questions. Instead of making the environment feel welcoming, it felt uncomfortable and awkward to even be there.

The overall atmosphere wasn’t great either—there seemed to be a lack of professionalism, and I didn’t feel supported as someone just trying to work out. A gym should be a place where people feel motivated and respected, but that wasn’t my experience here.

I wouldn’t recommend this location based on how I was treated and the overall vibe. Definitely not what I expected.

This planet fitness is absolutely LOUSY…

This planet fitness is absolutely LOUSY with PERVERTED MEN. I have actually never experienced so much sexual harassment enywhere.
A woman was filming women in the lockewr room one morning and another woman tried to STAB me in the locker rooms. A male patron was stalking me on my walks around the mall after my workouts. He told me that he "owned town center" and that he was allowed to stalk whoever he wanted. He said this in front of the female employee Andi and she just laughed. She also LIED about filing a harassment claim against him because she is Jealous of my confidence and was trying to gaslight me. Weak women are trouble.
If you are a strong, confident woman, the men at this location are going to give you a hard time.
There are some very nice people who work in the front and some very unprofessional folks as well.
Because the staff failed to properly respond to my claims of harassment I would like to give negative stars but I will file a lawsuit instead.
Enter PF Cerritos at your own risk. The management is weak and the patrons have major issues regarding PERVERSION.
Planet Fitness Corporate and Upper management are NON EXISTANT and there is no accountability.
Spend the extra few bucks if youy can and go to a REAL GYM.

I recently joined the Planet Fitness…

I recently joined the Planet Fitness Edmonton South Common location and felt compelled to share how exceptional the experience has been.

The club manager, Sara, sets a truly outstanding standard. She consistently greets members by name, always with a genuine smile and a high level of professionalism. Her leadership is clearly reflected in the culture of the entire club. The staff mirror her positive approach, creating a welcoming and energetic environment every time I visit. It is obvious that Sara has trained her team to provide the same level of friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism that she demonstrates herself.

I would also like to recognize Tanner, who provided excellent assistance when I needed help. He handled the situation in a very professional and task-focused manner, ensuring everything was addressed quickly and efficiently. His helpful attitude and strong work ethic made a real impression.

The overall atmosphere at this location is extremely positive and motivating. It is rare to see such consistent customer service and professionalism in a fitness club, and it speaks highly of the leadership and team culture at this facility.

Both Sara and Tanner represent the brand exceptionally well. Their commitment to members and the positive environment they help create certainly deserves recognition. I would strongly recommend that their contributions be acknowledged, including consideration for salary increases based on the outstanding work they are doing.

Great job to the entire team at the South Common location. It truly makes a difference for members.

As a customer who pays my membership…

As a customer who pays my membership every month and does everything within my ability to do my part and clean up after myself when I go to the gym, I am very upset with the planet fitness management where I attend, I was sitting in the TV room watching sports and a member who was working approached me and said he was asking me to leave because his manager doesn't want anyone sitting in the room longer than an hour, I was disappointed with this staff making up new rules on the spot , since when should a manager just say who is welcome and who goes? I work extremely hard for my money and it makes me really unhappy with people who have it easy who are lazy and just walk around and say what they don't like because they have nothing else to do but make up rules for members who pay money every month on time, let everyone know this is a new rule in contact not someone's own ridiculous opinion, extremely upset with incompetent managers

Dear Planet Fitness Management Team,

Dear Planet Fitness Management Team,
I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing to share some feedback about the Fishkill, NY location, with the goal of helping improve the overall member experience.

1. Shower and Locker-Room Conditions
The shower area continues to present some challenges, including inconsistent water temperature, low pressure, odors from drains, and wet, slippery floors. The moisture buildup appears to be caused in part by cooler air and floor temperatures, which leads to condensation and pooling water.
A few potential improvements that could make a meaningful difference:
• Increasing air and floor temperature to reduce condensation
• Adding more hooks or shelving for personal items
• Installing drainage-friendly shower mats to improve cleanliness and safety
These seem like relatively simple upgrades that could significantly enhance comfort and usability.

2. Equipment Usage and Gym Etiquette
Another concern is the extended use of machines by members who are often resting for long periods while using their phones. This makes it difficult for others to access equipment, especially during high volume times.

Additionally, phone calls and general phone use on the gym floor can be disruptive. While I’ve noticed a sign addressing this, it may be helpful to reinforce expectations more clearly and consistently throughout the facility.

Some suggestions:
• Post clear, visible guidelines encouraging members to share equipment and limit downtime between sets
• Encourage members to take calls in designated areas (e.g., lobby)
• Consider periodic staff reminders or signage promoting courteous gym etiquette

3. Creating a Positive Gym Environment
For many members, the gym is not just a place to exercise, but also a space to focus, recharge, and step away from daily distractions. Encouraging a culture of courtesy, awareness, and shared responsibility would go a long way toward maintaining that environment.
I appreciate the work that goes into running the facility and wanted to offer these suggestions constructively. I believe that with a few targeted improvements and clearer communication, the experience could be significantly better for all members.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I’d welcome any updates on potential improvements.

My agreement # is 07333

My agreement # is 07333. I am at planet fitness customer for several years and unfortunately today I have a very uncomfortable situation because the assistant manager COLE of winter springs, florida branch DO NOT permit my wife use the hidromasaje chair because the use of this is only for black card members not the accompanying guest. I explain him that I never had that issue before with the others employees that are pretty polite and also I know that it can be possible at manager discretion. I am a Hispanic person and I feel that approach from him discriminate me. I Explained him also that in that moment all the massage chairs and hidromasaje bed were empty with nobody, so I can't understand why he can't use that discretion to make that possible. He was maintaining an arrogant attitude and for sure , the company going to loose me as a customer for this racist behavior.

PHIL needs Customer Training

This is Specifically about the new former assistant manager Phil. He is a Black tall gentleman who was working March 22nd at the Groton CT location 656 long hill road. We were trying to get the bill settled at gym because no money was taken for my Girlfriend's membership. We were trying to fix the situation and he kept doing little sarcasm and back and forth attitude. I was an assist manager and I know the district manager and I want it to be know he has the wrong personality for the job. He is talking down to customers.

Love the machines and the stretching…

Love the machines and the stretching cage. Staff very nice. But it’s not a great look to see the staff store their belongings and food in the corner of their work area. It also seems weird for an employee to lean on the counter eating French fries. But I’ll be back

Misrepresented policy.

I've been a long-time Black card member, but have not been using my membership lately. (My membership renewed in Jan.)

I went to the Dartmouth, MA, facility and spoke with a gentleman at the desk to see if I could change the name on the account to my daughter. He told me that I could make a switch once, and it would be permanent. I went with my daughter to make the change today, and another staff member said she would not do that, even though the man I originally spoke with did not deny that he told me that. I am very frustrated with the fact that the Planet Fitness staff went back on what they represented. As a result, I plan to cancel my membership completely and find an alternative for my daughter. Very disappointed.

I really did not enjoy my membership…

I really did not enjoy my membership here. The gym never felt clean, employees really weren’t paying attention to address the lack of cleanliness but overall I mean I could get cardio in. When I decided to cancel they did make it challenging which I really don’t appreciate so I most likely will never return.

I went to Planet Fitness with my son on…

I went to Planet Fitness on South BLVD, Charlotte with my son who was on his spring break from college in Texas. I had picked him up from the VA where he was volunteering and we decided to spend some quality time at the gym. I was wearing business casual clothing, polo shirt, slacks, and leather dress shoes. I was asked to leave because my leather dress shoes were a "safety hazard" according to a employee on the afternoon shift. Both I and my son have a membership. I was afraid that any moment this young lady was going to trespass me and call the police, so we left and lost that time together. The dress code states that no boots are allowed, nothing about dress shoes. Seems as though many people have decided to go to the gym in the morning just to avoid this employee.

Planet Fitness doesn’t care

I was recently fired from Planet Fitness due to “spreading rumors and gossiping” about my boss, Jessica Ann (Goff) Mathis. Incorrect, all I said is, I wish she would’ve changed trashes more. That’s it. Also, she should’ve just as easily been fired for the same: gossiping about me to Randy Knuckles (just a Member Service Representative!) behind my back! And she’s the Jonesboro, AR club manager!

Secondly, I was the best worker they had, and they tossed me away like I was trash. I always sold the most memberships, I had recently made a PERFECT SCORE on a Secret Shopper who had come to gauge how well our customers workers performed, (was the best out of 32 secret shops at the time)I knew 90% of every members name, and I genuinely cared about every single worker. Both at my job and in my PF District 121. (Always posted in our Group Chat to everyone to stay safe when bad weather was coming!) All in all, I gave every ounce of blood, sweat, tears, and all the “PF +1 percent” and love for that place for 5-years (1/5 of my life), and just feel like I was done horribly. I’ve been gone from PF Jonesboro, AR for almost a month now, and I still have a gaping hole in my heart even now. To be backstabbed like I was…that’s why, if anyone was considering PF Jonesboro: go somewhere else. They do not care about you. Heck, they don’t even care about their “fluff” workers, just the money they give them.

Shayden was the only one who genuinely cared, and they killed his PF life the first chance they got. :(

Poor gym

What a poor, sorry excuse of a gym. Everything from the staff to the equipment to the cleanliness. It seems like the further South you go the worse the Planet Fitnesses get. Cary NC was another awful example of a Planet Fitness. This one in wesley, chapel was probably the second worst that I have ever been in. I think go to the one around the corner in Lutz,,, the people that work there actually look like they hit the gym. That gym is amazing. EOS.

Obnoxious Manager Ruins Experience

To preface, I love everything about the PF closest to my home, except for the manager. The manager is the sole reason why my review is one-star instead of five. I've had 3 interactions with her; each involved her arguing with me. When I pushed back, she threatened to cancel my membership as if PF were the only club around; there are literally hundreds of gyms near & in Detroit metro. Two of the interactions stemmed from her telling me that someone informed her that I didn't wipe down the free weight grips after use. It appears the club is managed via informants. When I informed her that a wet floor cone was placed in front of the men's urinals where urine had collected and boogers left on the walls for weeks, she couldn't go look for herself. When I took photos for her, she asked if I was sure it wasn't water. There is no excuse for placing a wet floor cone in front of a urinal and not cleaning up the urine. By not cleaning and drying the floor, men are forced to step in it, and then it gets tracked throughout the club. She said it was a health code regulation to place the cone and threatened to cancel my membership if "I were going to be a problem." Fact of life: when men urinate, dribbles often fall on the floor. Disgusting as that may be, all men accept and deal with this, sometimes even in their homes. We also deal with the fact that wiping free-weight grips doesn't and will never happen. If we're too grossed out by unwiped free weight grips, we can buy free weights for home use a lot cheaper than a PF membership. Early in my working years I was a retail manager, and customer service was #1. I know what good and bad service is like. P.S. I wouldn't be adding this here if there was a way to contact the corporate office or the CEO via LinkedIn. I guess they don't care.

I started Planet Fitness in 2019

I started Planet Fitness in 2019. It was good then. Staff was good, educated, clean. Now, dirty, uneducated managers are incompetent. The price is the only good side. It gets silly being there usually people quit. I like the hydro bed. My son hated it so I got him a membership elsewhere. I’m about done the staff are idiots. They hire anybody with an IQ of 2 and that’s being nice. The machines are okay but they don’t always work. The employees aren’t really the problem it’s the leadership. Managers are usually bossy women brainless who got a job by being the wokest they can be, who don’t know how to work the computers so they make up an excuse. Just dumb. It used to be a yes place now they say no and make up an excuse. I see it out of business in 2 years. The purple color is lame and their lunk alarms are on another level of stupid. There’s not even a bench press.
