Lots of choice
Lots of choice, haven’t been disappointed with a recipe yet. All tasty, balanced and healthy. Nutritional info available on the website. Easy to make - doesn’t require any cooking any skills! Have been going for 4 weeks now!
We loved our planthood food experience…
We loved our planthood food experience so nice not to have to plan a meal for three days a week and know your eating healthy plant based ingredients perfect 👌
The meals are absolutely lovely
The meals are absolutely lovely. I look forward to each box and am excited to see what the next menu will be like. This is really helping my transition from vegetarianism to being completely plant based. However on my student budget it’s not something I can keep up long term.

Great Food
If you're looking to up the vegan content of your diet and up your prepping skills - Planthood is for you!
I've been really happy so far and we've not eaten anything we didn't like.
Everything is super fresh, the sauces are delicious and we've not been left hungry. Well done guys!!
Have been having these meal kits for…
Have been having these meal kits for over a month now, they are so easy to cook and its so nice to just have something healthy I can whip up at the end of a busy day. I'm not a vegetarian but haven't had one that I didn't enjoy eating !
Great experience and food
I’ve been using Planthood and I’m really impressed.
The meals are genuinely delicious, full of flavour, and feel like something I wouldn’t normally make myself. As a vegetarian, it can be hard to get enough protein, but Planthood makes that so much easier without compromising on taste.
It’s been a great way to eat healthier and try new things - definitely recommend.
Cook the meals attentively and you begin to internalise the techniques.
We use Planthood in a slightly unusual way — one box a month, three meals for two people — so this is not the perspective of a weekly subscriber but of someone treating it as a periodic intervention in our cooking.
The immediate point: the food is consistently better than what we produce ourselves, and not by a small margin. That is not for lack of trying on our part—we grow herbs, chilies, and even use fresh turmeric and high-quality spices—but Planthood operates at a level of coherence that is difficult to replicate domestically.
What they are really offering is not just ingredients or recipes, but a system. The produce is notably fresh, and more importantly, it is used at the right moment in its life cycle. There is a clear attention to seasonality — dishes feel aligned with what should be eaten now, rather than what happens to be available year-round in a supermarket. That alone lifts flavour significantly.
The recipes themselves show professional discipline: proper layering of flavours, balance (especially the use of acidity, which many home cooks underuse), and a reliable contrast of textures. There is usually some “flavour concentrate” element—a paste, dressing, or spice base—that gives the dish depth without fuss. One senses these have been tested and refined rather than improvised.
A further point, often overlooked: they solve the problem of entropy in the home kitchen. When we cook for ourselves, ingredients linger, herbs wilt, spices lose potency, and plans change. Planthood removes that entirely. Everything arrives in the right quantity, at the right time, and is used at peak condition. That alone justifies a good part of the cost.
On price: once introductory offers end, it is not cheap compared to cooking from scratch. But in our case—having this relatively infrequently and valuing variety—the difference narrows considerably. If one were to buy all the individual ingredients at comparable quality, in small quantities, with minimal waste, the economics are not as unfavourable as they first appear.
In short, you are paying for three things: consistently fresh ingredients, well-designed recipes, and the removal of planning and waste. For us, used occasionally, it is excellent value—not as a replacement for cooking, but as a way of accessing a level of thought and execution that would otherwise require far more time and effort than we are willing to invest.
It also has a secondary benefit: you learn from it. Cook their meals attentively and you begin to internalise the techniques. That may be the most valuable part of the service.
Believe the hype.
Firstly - my wife is pescatarian and I eat anything/everything.
We've just finished our 4th Planthood order, and have increased how often we're having them. They're simply really good. Super tasty, relatively quick, and the produce is good quality. The Panang Curry and the Buttermilk "Chicken" have been standouts, but every meal we've had has been enjoyed. The little breakfast pots are cracking as well. We've tried most of the big name meal boxes and have occasionally been a little disappointed by portion size, but that hasn't been an issue with Planthood. My only small negatives: the 'wrap' type meals we've had so far have been more like a lunch than a dinner, and while all the packaging is recyclable in principle, we wish there was less single use soft plastic - but we recognise its not an easy fix for Planthood.
We did have one little issue with one of our orders, but Planthoods customer service resolved it quickly and without any fuss.

We are a family of meat eaters but wanted to try something different and Planthood definitely hasn't disappointed us. Even my fussy teenager has really enjoyed the meals! They are super tasty and really easy to make.
Excellent plant based meals
We wanted to introduce three days of non meat meals. Planthood didn’t disappoint … delicious meals which we could turn around in half an hour - sometimes less. Very flavoursome - highly recommend.

Sooo tasty & not much faff even my husband can cook them
Fantastic, very tasty, top notch vegetarian healthy recipes that even my husband can cook for us and not use every pan in the kitchen 😅. We’re not vegetarians but having these for 3 days alternate weeks helps us with a balanced diet. I highly recommend you to try

Delicious fresh food
I'm surprised of how good the food actually is! Delivery is always in time, items well packed, instructions are super easy to follow and it actually takes no more than 30minutes to cook.
Planthood is a game changer!! ❤️🔥
Realistic, filling and tasty! Even for meat eaters.
We tried Planthood as part of a promotion offer. We wanted to eat healthier and make mealtime easier due to having two young children. We’re not vegetarian and didn’t know what to expect so I supplemented with meat/fish ant first.
After our first week we were so impressed! The best thing is the variety and amazing flavours. I found myself eating healthy ingredients I wouldn’t normally have. The portion sizes are also great and we found we didn’t need to supplement them with meat or extras. Quite quick to prepare and it takes the hassle out of choosing what to cook every night. The meals are realistic, filling and really tasty. Highly recommend, even for meat eaters.
Really enjoying all the meals
Really enjoying all the meals, very easy to prepare, feel really healthy. Better than any other alternatives I have tried. Very happy
