It's very likely that the buyer really wanted the order to continue, that's why they applied their information to it, but upon discovery that there's a temporary lock, they decided not to continue.

The refund remains on hold for your protection. You may inform the buyer that PlayerAuctions have temporarily frozen their refund so you can work out the full return of the account with them.

We apologize if this isn't the decision you wanted. The account had an email that's locked for the next 7 days, as you've discussed with the buyer. Email changes should be ready at the time of purchase, and the buyer's reason for not having full access to it upon purchase is valid.

We have temporarily frozen the buyer's refund so you may ask them for the account back. You may also recover it directly. There were no penalties imposed on the order and you may repost it again if you wish.

PlayerAuctions’ reply still does not address the core issue.

The buyer received access.
The buyer or someone connected to the buyer caused irreversible damage to the account value.
The account wealth was removed.
The buyer was refunded.
I received nothing.
I lost approximately €700 in account/in-game value.

PlayerAuctions keeps focusing on policy wording, but the policy outcome here allowed one party to walk away with both the value and the refund, while the seller lost everything.

Your reply also makes an unsupported accusation that I “probably” sold an account I did not own. That is a serious claim, and you have not proven it. Jagex confirming unauthorized access and changed login details does not prove that I sold an account I did not own. It proves the account was accessed and altered by someone else after the transaction.

You also keep saying I could recover the account later. That does not solve the issue. By the time this happened, the account had already been stripped of its value. Recovery after the fact does not restore the lost wealth, the lost time, or the lost sale value.

This is exactly the problem with how PlayerAuctions handled this dispute. You treated the case as a simple “buyer lost access” issue, while ignoring the evidence that the account was accessed, altered, and drained after the buyer received control.

I am not asking PlayerAuctions to repeat the same policy links again. I am asking PlayerAuctions to address the actual outcome:

How is it fair or safe for sellers when a buyer can receive access, the account can be drained, the buyer can be refunded, and the seller receives no payment or compensation?

In this case, PlayerAuctions’ process protected the buyer completely and left the seller with the full loss.

That is not seller protection. That is a dispute system that can be exploited.

I'm sorry, but we have repeatedly informed you of the reason why the case was decided as such. The decision was already final when we replied to you the last 5-6 times that you re-posted the same review. There is nothing else to address in this case.

You provided your own seller after-sale protection for this order, and our policy states that a refund or a replacement will be provided to the buyer if they lose access. This is very straightforward, and there are no strings attached. You may review the policy once more in its respective section (2nd section) here:

This, alone, warrants the order a refund. But there are also other glaring red flags:

1) The buyer reported the account to have been reclaimed, and received no assistance for it. You previously raised the fact that the account was already taken, but this doesn't address the fact that it was reclaimed, which was the prevailing issue at the time of dispute.

2) You then mentioned that the account was probably taken by a 3rd party — this is even more problematic, because it means the buyer was sold an insecure account. This is not an issue the buyer should shoulder, especially given the fact that you provided your own seller after-sale protection.

3) You denied providing recovery information for the account, which is a right provided to all buyers on the site. If the recovery information is denied, it means the account is not full access, and the buyer may ask for a refund.

4) You asked the buyer several times to close the order, even if there is an ongoing inquiry and issue.

For fact facts #3 and #4: I'm afraid you can't make your own rules about these; we have these in the order chatlogs as verifiable proof that you made the order conditional, and for that, the buyer was entitled to the refund.

I'd like to reiterate that the order being provided with seller after-sale protection is a single reason that stands on its own already as a condition for a refund, but there were also other reasons as stated above that shows the order was mishandled and was heavily unfavorable for the buyer.

Confirmation methodology is too…

Confirmation methodology is too convoluted, and wait time for sales done even without after sale protection is way too long and punishing for new sellers . While i did not have issues with the process of listing and selling , the disenbursement process takes way too long even after the 72h time for customer protection has elapsed . As a new seller i unfortunately will not be engaging with playerauctions again solely for this reason . If you're a buyer its a decent platform but they give way too many roadblocks for people starting out .
