Easy to use service
Was having issues with port forwarding my server because of my ISP and playit came in clutch with a solution that took less than 5 minutes to get working with my modded minecraft server.
Great service for a great price
Great service for a great price! I have the yearly subscription and I have never had any issue with it. The staff are great and super helpful.
An amazing way to secure your network without compromise
This service is amazing. It allows me to host servers for my friends, and their friends, without having to expose my own network and open ports! I run this client directly to my game server, which has each individual game in a docker container. It's phenomenal and adds minimal latency. Some reviewers are giving it a poor review because they had to change the free tier due to abuse, and I don't think that's fair to them.
Useful, Intuitive, Safe
Very good software, helped me run a public Minecraft server without everyone knowing where I live. The man behind this is a great guy, putting tons of effort into this project.
incosistant
works decently well, but connections are very heavily throtlled for some users causing alot of disconnects and lag. sometimes up to 1 minute of desync (cant test more because of disconnects beyond that point)
occurs only with server to user connection.
Great software for Double NAT ISP
Great software for Double NAT ISP
I originally found this for a replacement to ngrok but now i can do almost any game service i want. The Tunnels are secure and the service works all around the world
Best service for tunnels
Playit.gg is great value.
They offer an extremely fair service for the price. The convenience is insane in comparison to other solutions.

Good local host tunneler that's easy to set up for games. Also cheap.

Once good.
Once good.
Sadly it's not possible anymore to host more than 4 UDP ports for free. That's why I can't host my Arma 3 server for friends anymore. Guess it's time for hamachi again
INCREDIBLE, USE IT
I was testing out a minecraft server just to check out some stuff, and i saw about playit and tested it, and OH MY GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE, it works FLAWLESSLY and i had ZERO issue, and it doesn't require port forwarding AT ALL
I'd give it 6 or more stars if i could.
Super
Super, Playit allows me to make a game server that is running on my PC and share with the public without leaking my IP. Its safe and secure and mainly its free. Thank you so much :)
The good and the bad.
I’ve been using Playit.gg for a while, and while the actual tunneling service works fine, the way the team handles feedback and differing viewpoints is seriously unprofessional.
I brought up a fair and respectful concern: why does Pride Month get full platform support (logo changes, public announcements), while there’s no mention ever of Black History Month, Indigenous causes, Asian heritage, or any other awareness month? I wasn’t being hateful I was pointing out the inconsistency.
Instead of a real discussion, Patrick the owner behind Playit told me to “be gone.” Then, to make it worse, he made a public thread in the Discord aimed at shaming me and rallying others to dogpile. That’s not community leadership that’s targeted hostility against someone raising a valid point.
If you’re okay with selective activism, performative inclusivity, and a team that attacks users instead of engaging them, then sure use Playit. But don’t expect professionalism or respect if you challenge the status quo, even politely. This is not hate. This is critiqu and critique is part of healthy dialogue, especially when you’re calling out inconsistency.
And no. I don’t want a refund. You earned that. I supported Playit because I believed in what you were building. This was never about money lol it was about principle. Acting like the refund offer means something just misses the point entirely.
Update to my review:
After further interaction, I was disappointed to see Playit.gg's representative, Patrick, clearly picking sides during discussions around important social topics. When asked about support for Men's Mental Health Month, the question was ignored while Pride Month received full promotional focus. But yeah im the bad guy Pat! Considerably the best game-proxy service ever.
I have a dad who is paranoid of the internet. All the new articles about hackers, exploits & malware have created this view of his where exposing anything to the outside internet is dangerous. A bit annoying for an IT student like me with passions to explore the world of servers and hosting.
I wanted to host a minecraft server for my friends, just to find online that you had to open port 25565... Yeah that won't happen with my dad. I looked online for ages trying to find solutions to this problem which didn't significantly decrease my servers connection/performance, and then I found playit.gg.
The website was very inviting, giving a good summary of it's functions. I signed up, created an agent, installed the docker image on my proxmox server, created a tunnel and just like that I already had access to my Minecraft server outside my home network.
Since I also have my own domain/website, I decided I wanted to pay the $3 dollars a month to use a custom external domain. Just so you know, game proxy servers cost tens to hundreds of dollars if you just look up "game proxy server"!
I now have, for a measly 3 dollars a month, my Minecraft server (and the ability to add a LOT more servers too!) online and public, with my home-IP hidden by the proxy, and a custom domain linking to my server!
There are no other words for the single man who created this project then a legend. Not just creating the entire setup, but also allowing free users to use proxy's to publish & protect their servers!
Doesn't work for very specific people, zero documentation about the issue
Every time I try to join my friend's minecraft server, which runs through playit.gg, I am met with the error message [connection timed out: no further information], and am entirely unable to join the server, despite it being visible on server checking websites and even being playable for other people.
And what makes it stranger? When I apply a change to my router's firewall settings, for a short window, I am temporarily able to connect to the server. How or why this works I have no clue, but it simply does.
However, it is not exactly exemplary when your service only works by bypassing your router's firewall, which less technical users wouldn't be able to do, or want to do at all.
But if it (kind of) works, then why the 1 star review?
Well, when you go onto their website to find a fix for their issue, you find nothing. At least, nothing useful. There are several people with the same / a similar issue… Who have gotten zero replies. And the one person who did get a reply? Well, the solution there (updating your DNS) simply didn't work.
With a service that only works for some people, and has an issue that prevents the other people from joining (myself included), with zero documentation on how to fix the issue, I cannot in good faith give this service anything other than one star until this issue is fixed.

Happy customer
I used it for Minecraft servers, its working fine for me, i upgraded it to Premium and its still working fine all these months so here's a 5 star review, its affordable too (although the dedicated IPs are a bit mo expensive but still a very good service). Keep it up!
how does anyone complain about this
how does anyone complain about this? if you dont have port forwarding this option is absolutely impressive!
