I used Alan to do a survey on a converted chapel. He was meticulous and very knowledgeable. The report included areas of concern and when discussed offered good advice on how to rectify. This gave me peace of mind to move forward with the purchase. Would thoroughly recommend Alan.

We were wanting to purchase an old cottage and looked for a suitable company to give a full survey.
A friend had suggested a company that were highly recommended, so I reached out to them.
Sadly, they weren't in a position to conduct the survey due to the location but recommended Alan from Plumb Stone Surveyors.
From my initial enquiry to Alan, through to the the finished report, it's been a great experience.

Initially Alan sent over a sample report, obviously anonymised, so we could see the detail he went in to.
This was great and very thorough.
As Alan gets so booked up we had to give plenty of notice and a date for the survey was booked in.
This meant a stay overnight for Alan at nearby lodgings.

I believe the day before the survey was due, and Alan was about to leave for the hotel, he received a call saying that the owners of the home he was surveying were ill and would have to move the date.
He rescheduled which, due to his busy schedule, was very good of him.

Alan completed the survey and phoned us after he had completed it with the more notable issues.
This was great as it gave us a much better idea initially and then we could wait for the full report about a week later.

The report was detailed with photos and remedies and suggestions.

If we take the property further then we will certainly have a plan of action and know where to look for the hidden damp behind cupboards in the kitchen.
Without his report we would have no idea about a great many issues with the property. With this you can make an informed decision and plan ahead.

Plumb Stone Surveyors produced a comprehensive pre purchase report for a property that we knew needed work.
Working in the industry, we knew the need for a specialist's assessment. Alan managed to confirm some of our concerns, alleviate others, and pick up on things the we'd not spotted.
The report was substantial but not overwhelming. Clear, with explanations and some background information that helped understand the situation more.
Initial communication was through email, but Alan followed up for a chat over the phone, and even made time for us while packing up his car just before heading off on a family holiday!
