I read everyone’s else’s review and just wonder why I never checked this before going with them! I feel exactly the same and relate to all!
I’ve missed out on a house because of them. They have ruined my 1st time buying experience and given me anxiety over even thinking about doing this again. They never replied to my emails, always said they are “reviewing” which would take them weeks. Then repeatedly asked for the same documents again and again! I had just had enough, they even tainted my excitement and the dreams I had for the house I was suppose to be living in right now. 6 months in, offer expired and they were not one bit bothered. Almost feels like we as clients are an inconvenience. I don’t know how they are still trading but I pray you are shut down soon to save so many other heartaches and disappointments for others.

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with this solicitor firm was incredibly stressful, unprofessional, and in many ways negligent.

From the outset, communication was poor and delays were constant. Despite accepting my offer in November 2024 and there being no onward chain, my purchase dragged on well beyond the expected timeframe due to repeated failures on their part. Emails went unanswered, phone calls were not returned, and basic queries were asked multiple times as if the file hadn’t been read.

After formally complaining, my case was reassigned but shockingly, the solicitor it was passed to went on immediate annual leave with no one properly covering in her absence. My mortgage offer was due to expire in just three weeks, and during that crucial period I received no meaningful updates, no clarity, and was left calling the office daily in desperation.

Worse still, I was frequently met with conflicting information and dismissive attitudes. It was impossible to speak with anyone actually working on my case, and it often felt like I was chasing shadows. The stress and financial strain were enormous, and at no point did I feel that anyone, except one person, truly took responsibility.

The only reason this ordeal didn’t completely fall apart was thanks to Joanne, who temporarily covered the case. She was the only member of staff who treated me like a human being, took the time to listen, chased answers proactively, and showed genuine empathy and professionalism. Frankly, she deserves to work somewhere that values her, because she stood in stark contrast to everyone else I dealt with.

Despite the firm’s small goodwill gesture, the disruption to my life was huge, storage fees piling up, strain on my job, and an expired mortgage offer looming over me unnecessarily (which had already received an extension). This wasn’t just about legal paperwork; it was about buying my home, and they treated it with a level of carelessness that was both disheartening and inexcusable.

I strongly urge others to avoid this firm. A conveyancing process is stressful enough, what you need is clarity, communication, and competence. Sadly, I received very little of any of those things here.

I would give zero stars if I could. I’m using this company to buy my flat. The amount of delays, no communication and me chasing them is utterly unacceptable! I’m almost losing my flat with the slow process. Started this process in December and we’re still going, with no chain in either sides. Im currently with team Shaw which has been no help at all and trying to get a hold of Laura and her team to get an update is impossible. The sales team at the estate agent keeps getting hung up on when calling this team trying to get some information. Would definitely not recommend. I’m horrified reading these reviews, but not surprised with my own experience

Not even 1 star but there is no option for that.

Absolute ridiculous service. I would never want anyone else to go through the same experience we have done with this company. We are in the middle of going through complaints with their complaint team and the ombudsman. They do not have a clue! They have delayed our move by months and on the day of exchange decided they were not happy to proceed, with all other parties waiting to move the following day!!!

Absolute shocking, they go home early without responding to things and are always on annual leave with nobody covering them!

I have never been so disappointed with a service in my life. Please avoid at all costs!!!

The app is poorly designed. Once confirmation was given of the PM property Lawyers being appointed the conveyancer's no correspondence was received from them. I had to do a lot of chasing and finding stuff out myself. Didn’t receive a welcome call to explain process either.

How this company has more than one star is baffling!!

Consistently sat on our case with no action being taken, lied about what work had been done, rarely responded to messages on their app, couldn't possibly pick up the phone and delayed our sale/purchase by 2 months!

The only person worth speaking to is Sophie so unless you get her I'd avoid at all costs!!

Getting really fed up of them hassling me for my business. I happened to use a site that gave me conveyancing quotes and since then PM Property Lawyers have not stopped badgering me via email, text and phone calls. I keep blocking and reporting as spam but they're relentless. The subject headers in the emails - "chase client, no response"....?!? Just leave me alone, I do not want to do business with you especially after reading all of the bad reviews.

A very organised and slick process so far and kept informed as to progress.

Solicitor said they would act for me on conveyencing. I paid them the upfron fee and then they decided that they couldn't act for me. They confirmed that they would refund me. I have called them repeatedly and still have not received my refund. Never any managers to talk to you. Would definately NOT recommend.

I'm extremely impressed with the exceptional service provided by the administration team, headed by Sarah Keyworth from PM Property Lawyers. Despite the bank holiday, she efficiently completed the initial administration and promptly allocated my case to a property lawyer. The digitized process was smooth and seamless. Her professionalism, speed, and reliability are truly commendable. I'm grateful for her and the team's dedication and look forward to a successful resolution to my property matter. My purchaser used these guys . Slow and misinformation to say the least . Maybe this is why the review score is 2.2. All these people reviewing can’t be wrong .

On selling future properties I will check if the purchaser is using this firm and will not proceed if they are . I will also check if the estate agent is recommending them so as to avoid that estate agent . No doubt they will respond to this review in the same way I have seen on other poor review by saying thank you for your comments , we will pass on . It’s change your customer need not passing on feedback

As you will see the reply says they can not investigate , this is no surprise as I doubt you investigate any negative comments which is why you have a satisfaction rating of 2.2 . Clearly no interest in changing this

The experience has been excellent. The forms were easy to understand. The phone call I received was very reassuring the caller was very efficient, friendly and was interested in what I asked and was able to answer any questions.

Good and fast service for our administration regarding sale of the property. Very happy so far. Hopefully, the rest of the service will be the same successful, straightforward, and fast.

This company will jeopardise your sale or purchase, avoid at all costs. Internal miscommunication regarding progress, false information shared to estate agent/other solicitors. Overall an incompetent and inept firm. If your buyer instructs this solicitor, ask them to change firms or find a new buyer. Absolute shambles.
