Brilliant Fjord Cruise
Just back from the most enjoyable 14 day cruise on Aurora around the Norwegian fjords. Although the ship is a little old with dated decoration, it's still a wonderful, medium sized ship to cruise on & with around 1800 passengers, it is spacious & easily accessed.
We had cabin F150 on deck 5. Although small & our first ever outside cabin as against balcony, it was the quietest cabin we have ever experienced in over 35 cruises on various ships.
The atmosphere, service & food aboard was above average & the cruise around the fjords brilliant, helped by wall to wall blue skies & strong sunshine.
Sadly, outbreaks of gastro enteritis meant both the laundry & library were closed, but the crew were meticulous in their ship's cleaning & disinfection management.
To add further enjoyment to the cruise, entertainment all round, was very good as was the master of the ship, Captain Karl Shepherd, the best PR captain we have ever experienced, although his announced jokes need to be listen to whilst under medication!!!.
A fabulous 14 night cruise

Unclear website
Unclear website, not clear as to what you get when you book unless you search the whole website as a full description is not with the room you are booking. Inside cabin no where near comfortable for a family of 4.
Room was tired and dirty, stains everywhere. A ladder which goes to the bed on the wall goes across the whole room which caused a trip hazzard, 2 beds on the wall and only one ladder fit in the room to be used.
Drinks package for our family was classic package but we was told our children only had refreshments package even though classic package was listed under everyone's name on our MyP&O page.
If it wasn't for the restaurant staff and bar/waiter staff I would have given 1 star. They were so friendly and went above and beyond to help.

Our first cruise and what an amazing experience from start to finish. Iona is a beautiful ship with hardworking, fantastic staff and crew. I would recommend P&O to everybody. Absolutely the most stress free holiday we have ever had and just brilliant. The food and entertainment is excellent
I have enjoyed P&O cruises for many…A cruise is a tonic .
I have enjoyed P&O cruises for many years and keep coming back for more. Highly recommended.

7 days Med cruise on Azura to Malta & Croatia had a fantastic time. 2nd time on Azura. Croatia is amazing.
Wonderful cruise on Aurora
Wonderful cruise on Aurora! Ports, food, entertainment, crew were all great. The reason I only gave four stars is the price of excursions has shot up unbelievably! Possibly cheaper to get together with some fellow passengers, club together and hire a taxi to take you to places that aren’t too far from port or even get on public transport if you are able.
Our biggest thumbs down is the extortionate price of internet packages!!!! Those of us that have to save money to actually book a cruise, (we feel fortunate to be able to do that), cannot keep in touch with our families unless we find a cafe when on dry land…most of which are insecure.
Gastroenteritis on Aurora Cruise 07/04/26 - 21/04/26
My wife and I have returned today from a 14 day cruise on Aurora.
Prior to boarding our embarkation time was set back by 1 hour to enable enhanced cleaning to take place.
Despite this 'enhanced cleaning' we both contracted gastroenteritis and had to spend 5 days isolated in our cabin.
The delayed embarkation seems to point to P&O being aware that the virus was prevalent aboard but did not give us prior warning, which might have allowed us to cancel or amend our booking.
At the time of disembarking there were still passengers being confined to their cabin and having their luggage 'Red Tagged' so that it could be kept apart from the normal luggage.
No doubt the following cruise went ahead after some further 'enhanced cleaning' was carried out.

Booking Ref’s 2LXR3V and 2PCX9Q
Dear Madam/Sir
It is with extreme regret that I find myself having to write to you under such circumstances.
I booked both cruises-after many wonderful cruises on Arcadia/Aurora.
Wendy has-as you know-has been the subject of many bouts of cancer, including a now-double mastectomy, which has taken its toll, both physiologically and psychologically, with more trauma , as number two daughter has recently had a mastectomy.
We booked both cruises on the strength of shares we were to sell, but these have yet to come to fruition, they might well in the next few months, but will-in all probability-be too late for our final balance deadline.
I am writing out of all decency to enable the cabins to be reallocated, but also to throw ourselves at your mercy-given our past loyalty- regarding our deposits.
We can ill-afford to lose the deposits, and as a request for extreme compassion, we would respectfully ask yourselves, to either retain our deposits or even more graciously return them please.
This is completely beyond our control, and it is beyond comprehension, the effect it has had on Wendy and I, so if you can understand the full magnitude of our situation, and be generous beyond belief, we should be eternally grateful

With all due respect Stevie, the same message was emailed 11 days ago not 5, and although my repetitive emails might appear routine, they are nevertheless important to us, and we would appreciate a positive response.
We have copied in Mr Paul Ludlow CEO Carnival Group UK, but no response from his Department, unfortunately.
Thanks Stevie, for your consideration, from your Customer Care Dept.

PO Cruises Guest Services, seem to be running well behind their 5 days response time ?
Please help us P & O, we have been loyal to you with many cruises🙏🙏
7 day Norwegian cruise on Iona
7 day Norwegian cruise on Iona. Not good experience as over crowded. Had to queue to get on, queue to eat, even queue to use WC and queue to get off. Only visited 2 of the 5 ports due to wind not making berthing possible due to the oversize of the ship! Cabin small but adequate, clean other than stain on carpet, fairly quiet other than people slamming doors late at night and hearing toilets being flushed! I could write much more but will summarise by saying 3 out of 10 and will never cruise with P&O again!!
YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE HAD A PROPER HOLIDAY WITH P&O
For a real holiday you have got to consider P and O first.
The staff are welcoming, helpful and respectful.
There are great variety of ships, venues and on board activities.
Ideal for single passengers, couples, families of all age groups.
I wish I took my children whe they were younger, there is so much for them to do and see.
Overall P and O gives you a holiday you will never forget and you will be eager to book another cruise.
Whenever you book a cruise always check…
Whenever you book a cruise always check the calendar to ensure it is not school time. I didn't ! To have parents allowing their children free reign to run around willy nilly in front of the Entertainment staff who are try to host a quiz night is unbelievable.
I was stupid enough to leave my rather expensive umbrella in the Horizon restaurant , and then think it would be handed in to the Reception was rather naive of me.
So good luck to you , if it was you who found it. You Prat !

Had a 7 night cruise to Norway and fjords. The destinations, scenery and shore experiences were excellent and the ship Iona, cabin and facilities were excellent too. Staff were friendly and helpful and food and variety excellent too. We were very fortunate with the weather that week.

P&O Norwegian Fjord Cruise
I found my first cruise a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
The Staff were brilliant, polite and attentive. The food and entertainment were great.
I'd say the best thing about this cruise was the organisation, quality and attention to detail of the whole trip.
Maybe the airports could learn a few lessons from you!
Norway 2026
We went on our first P&O cruise (Norway - April 2026) and loved every minute of it. Couldn't find anything to fault. Food, entertainment, staff, the ship were all amazing, would definitely book with P&O again. A**** holiday, thank you once again.
