Many people highlight the excellent food quality and the wide range of entertainment options available on board. Norwegian Fjords with P&O Iona

Norwegian Fjords- having been before it was lovely to go this time with my daughter. She organised lots of walking tours herself but we did do some P&O tours in Olden. The Leon Skylift ( get up there early!) and Kayaking on the Fjords, what a wonderful way to see the Fjord. The ship as always is outstanding, clean, tidy, excellent food, lots of entertainment, good prices for drinks. Inside cabin on deck 9, small but clean and tidy. Excellent holiday, just sad to now be home

Iona does it again

Iona is a fantastic ship. Modern and well set out.
Cabins are adequate and comfortable.
We had an inside cabin, plenty of room to move around, enough clothes hangers and cupboard space for our clothes.
Steward was pleasant and was there when needed. Room stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits as expected.
Second time aboard Iona with little change except in the entertainment side of things.
Couldn’t fault any of the food but then I’m not as fussy as some.
Overall we had an great time

Overall, such a positive experience

Overall we had such a positive experience. It started upon our entry into the CPS car park and we were instantly impressed with the efficiency and overall running of the operation happening. Upon leaving the car we met with very friendly and helpful staff who printed off our boarding passes, the luggage handlers were happy and making everyone smile and inside the terminal everything was clearly explained, signposted and easy to manoeuvre, this was greatly appreciated due to having a child with sight impairment. The whole check in process was smooth and fast, as was boarding. We went straight to our muster station and checked in as advised and were told our room would be ready in around 20mins so we went and sat down for a few moments to gather our thoughts and then had a short exploration before going to find our room. Our experience on board during the week was just amazing! The staff, for the most part, were friendly, even if not always around when needing to order a drink! The food was in non-stop supply and a very extensive choice with milk/dairy free desserts which I was extremely impressed by. The amount of activities on offer was something I had never experienced before and somthing was happening everyday from 7am until midnight. The entertainment was a very high standard in all venues, but the cinema could do with showing a better selection if films to be honest. From start to finish this holiday not only exceeded our expectations but left us wanting more, and that is something that very rarely happens with our family in wanting to do anything a 2nd time. What made our holiday however was surprising to us. It wasn't the infinity pools, which were an unexpected happy find and much warmer than the main pool in the dome. It wasn't even the spa, which we indulged and enjoyed a massage or 2. It wasnt even the Balcony cabin that was the perfect size for the 3 of us and had one of the best shower pressures I've ever experienced on a holiday, (although our cabin steward herself left a lot to be desired with her attitude, demeanor and lack of friendliness) It was very, very nearly the cruise and all the amazing ports of call we had in our itinerary, the places we were lucky enough to see and explore, the excursions we went on... No, the unexpected stand out star was the kids club! Something that we have NEVER used before and said as a family we never would, and yet our daughter spent the majority of our cruise in The Reef, surfers group and from her first session she just kept asking to go back. We are not a kids club family, we have never wanted to send our child to strangers and have always wanted to keep them close and spend time together as a family; but from the first meeting, the first conversation, the first experience we were left speechless with the attention, care, fun and happiness they all brought each and session; everytime to ensure our daughter was happy and having fun and safe in their care. We as her parents were reassured she was being left in good hands. Emma from Surfers youth team blew us away with her kindness, understanding and proffesionalism. She made kids club the most amazing experience for our daughter and I'm sure many, many other children too.
I would absolutely love to do the 2028 World cruise, I just dont think my boss would agree to me having 124 days off to tour the world unfortunately. I guess I will just have to find an alternative that we can do.

The staff are very helpful and work incredibly hard rooms are clean and tidy, tea and coffee always topped up.
We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend P&O. The only issue was some lifts were out of order. As a gluten free traveler they had so much on offer for me too.

As it was our first cruise it took a bit of time to find our feet. A meeting for first timers would of been handy. One of the trips I felt wasn't value for money ( the cloister and recital) and another trip was too rushed and instead of 3.5 hours should of been most of the day ( viking village) .trip to the glacier by troll car was ok. On the whole the ship was very clean, the food was plentiful and the on-board headliners group was brilliant (4 shows) . The cabin was clean and well maintained. Just a lot of stairs as the lifts were always in use. It was quicker to walk 6 flights of stairs than wait for the lift. All saying still a good holiday

P&O Iona to fjords

We have just returned from our p&p cruise to the fjords and were blown away with the whole experience. From arriving at Southampton to boarding the ship, all was supper easy. The whole experience was just so smooth and enjoyable. We’ve never been more relaxed and have now booked our next cruise again with p&p and can’t wait for the next adventure

Everything was great except the vibration

Everything was great, the staff, the food, decor etc the only thing that let it down was the constant vibration, not the tilting and gentle ebb and flow of being on the sea, but literally like someone was shaking the bed it was relentless and made it difficult to sleep (cabin 15723 on Iona)

This was our first time on a big P&O ship, IONA

This was our first time on a big P&O ship, IONA, the ship is big and lovely but we did feel like being in Butlins but on the sea, the cabin layout was not good with the space between the bed and the wardrobe to close making it difficult plus our cabin was not cared for, on an occasion the bin was not emptied or hoovered when needed, there were lifts out of service the whole week making it difficult with over 5000 people on board, the quality of the food was hit and miss in the buffet, the desserts had no taste but the restaurants were nice apart from some desserts, some were to cold and to hard to eat, we know that the changing of food time the areas and counters in the buffet need cleaning but they could at least keep all the coffee and hot water machines on lessening the queues and stopping it from running out.
We were not impressed with the Theatre, we felt crammed in and having to keep getting up to let people past also there was very little places for people with disabilities who are unable to walk stairs such as myself also no place or tables to place your drinks.
The whole week we were on board you had staff and officer's who we felt could not be bothered with a greeting at all, the ONLY staff/crew members to say hello with a smile were the toilet attendants and a lovely waiter called Ronald in the Opal restaurant, thank you Ronald 😊.
We were made to feel that money is all that you are after and customer/passenger service was last on your list and we feel like we won't be cruising with P&O in the future.

70th birthday cruise ruined

As i write, we sit at Southampton dock unable to board due to incorrect advice provided by P&O. To add insult to injury my partner has been on hold to customer services for over 40mins with just unhelpful onhold music, having not even acknowledged the call yet. To say this is the poorest cruiseliner service weve received is an understatement. Do yourself a favour and look/book elsewhere!

Norwegian Fjords

Just got back from the Norwegian Fjords which was our first ever cruise, everything about it was an amazing experience. Unfortunately had to miss 2 of our ports due to adverse weather but the ports we saw were unforgettable. The ship itself (Iona) was beyond our expectations and everything from the decor, the food, the entertainment and the staff and crew were superb.

Bad weather doesn't mean bad cruise

The whole cruising experience on the Brittania was so good. Crew were wonderful and so helpful. We didn't have the best of luck with the weather, but the entertainment and activities on board more than made up for that.
