Breach of guidelines
Very disappointed
I wish this was a more positive review, but it won’t be.
Before I agreed to buy the van, I discussed with the salesman some items I was concerned about, i.e lack of service history, cleanliness, bulkhead. He seemed very helpful and knowledgeable.
I was promised a really good deep clean, seats shampooed etc, knowing that this was a work van and would be grubby. He also agreed to change the bulkhead to a mesh one rather than the solid one.
He did request that as he is giving me a good deal with the bulkhead and deep clean, could I pay almost half in cash on delivery as the the garage and valeter deals mainly in cash - I was happy to do this.
The van has been delivered today, and is disgustingly filthy. Not even put through a car wash, let alone the inside. Covered in mud, dirt, smudges, horrible dirty seats etc.
The delivery guy called them on my behalf on a different number to Han the one I had, as I when I called I couldn’t get through. He put me on to someone, I think he may have been the Manager, who was nothing short of rude when I explained how filthy the van was, telling me that he would not allow a discount for the deep clean that I now needed to pay out for, as he’d already given me a good deal!
The clean was agreed at the point of sale and so it should have been done!
I was assured that it would have a thorough inspection and service. Here’s hoping it’s mechanically sound as I don’t really believe anything they say now ……

We strongly dispute this version of events.
The van supplied was a used work vehicle, sold at a discounted price, and its condition was fully reflected in that price. While we agreed to prepare the vehicle before delivery, the claims made here are exaggerated and do not accurately reflect the condition in which it left our premises.
The bulkhead replacement requested was completed at no additional cost, despite this being extra work outside the original sale agreement. We also accommodated your delivery arrangements and payment preferences in good faith.
As for the cleaning, the vehicle was cleaned prior to delivery, but it is unreasonable to describe it as “disgustingly filthy” when this was not the condition in which it left us. If there were concerns on arrival, these could have been raised in a constructive manner and we would have reviewed them appropriately.
We also reject the allegation that anyone was rude. At no point was there any intention to be dismissive; however, we will not agree to retrospective discounts simply because a customer later decides the agreed preparation was not to their personal standard.
Finally, the van did receive the inspection and service as promised. We stand by the mechanical preparation of the vehicle and by the service carried out prior to handover.

We found a van online via Auto Trader…
We found a van online via Auto Trader on Friday 27th March 2026 which we liked the sound of. It was priced at £3490 so my partner contacted Podium for some images. We were prepared to strike a deal on receipt of the requested pictures along with a walk around video.
It has been an inmmensely frustrating experience, even getting this far.
We have made numerous phone calls across Fri, Sat,Sun and again today asking for pictures.
We keep being provided with non committal responses which feels really wishy washy.
That, therefore has prompted me to read reviews on TrustPilot which I am so glad we did.
Many of the reviews demonstrate negative experiences.
How lucky do I feel now and how grateful am I to those of whom decided to post their experiences? Had I not read these reviews I feel we would have lost out considerably both financially and emotionally. Not to mention of course potentilly being massively inconvenienced.
