I think this is a horrible dating site. I have had five complete scams that I have notified the administration about. You put in their searches and you wanna date local and it sets you up with people... See more

About Plenty of Fish Dating
Written by the company
The Plenty of Fish story begins all the way back in the distant year of 2003 when it laid down its roots as the first free online dating site. POF believes that building a community where people feel free to be themselves, helps create the most meaningful connections. Every day, Plenty of Fish helps people find their blanket thief, Ikea sherpa, personal spider hunter…you get the point.
POF has always been true to itself, allowing members to choose their own path to connection on the app and matching members based on the things that ultimately make for real, long-lasting love. That’s why Plenty of Fish was the first dating app to ditch face filters. People can feel free to just be themselves. No pressure, just real connections.

How this company uses Trustpilot

The site works against your goal to connect with someone.
The site has quite a few members in populated areas. The trouble is some of the members are long gone and the profiles are inactive. It is free to set up a profile and browse members in your area. Contacting members requires an upgrade. When you upgrade you get a basic set of additional abilities and 1 "first" contact per day. If you want to make first contact several people you have to wait 24 hours or buy extra "first" contact messages. It gets pricey unless you choose one person to attempt to connect with. Also once you make first contact you wait for them to respond so make that first message count. If they don't respond you'll never message them again with that profile. You will have to create a new profile, pay again, then send a better first message. It really is not set up to make connecting with people a success. It is a money maker now. Good luck.
Worst site ever with fake profiles
Worst site ever with fake profiles. They need to do a better job at verifying people and their info. When I report it each time I just get a generic message back saying they have taken their profile down.
Not a happy place.
I paid a subscription but I can only send one message a day. What did I just pay for? You want more money from me to send more. Lot's of scams and women that have long left, profiles that don't work and POF telling you, "Someone wants to meet you." in Activity center They don't, all they did was look at my profile. I should have learnt from the last time I joined, NEVER again.
Pof is a ripp off !
I had signed up for plenty of fish for about 24 hours and then they banned me for no reason at all probably that I wasn’t going to pay the premium and only use the free service and I know that that on my profile and then I noticed the next morning I couldn’t login anymore after I spent like three hours on my profile with pictures and all of their questions I spent a lot of time all lost all I can say is there’s plenty of fish app is a bunch of bull crap and one star is way too many
Nasty Company
My account was banned with no explanation. Apparently I violated guidelines which according to their guidelines I did not. No explanation no detail and no further redress. Not a company I would recommend. I requested a Data Subject Access request. No Acknowledgement of that either. On the whole not a company worth bothering with.

Too many fake profiles not even an option to report them. Surely that should be a safety feature.
Should be plenty of fake!

This company stores old images and a lot of the people you click on have left.
Talking to the few people on there they all say its a scam and it difficult to cancel and stop them collecting monies from your bank.
You set profiles such as age and distance and this is completely ignored.
I set mine to age 70 -80 and I was getting people from an age range of 30 to 50 every night which gives me the impression these maybe AI generated.
I had over 200 contacts but in the oreder of 3 that fell within my settings.
I would not subscribe to any of the 3 companies associated M
Ourtime , Match and Plenty of Fish.
Sadly despite all the comments on this site people ignore and just listen to reviews generated by POF.
I was going to contact the Daily Mail hoping they would investigate the practices but recently Panorama featured the down side of these dating sites. Certainly AI has made it easier for them to create fake profiles.
I hope this is helpfull and my advice is join local groups and just mix with people and get to know them. I stopped them collecting as it is almost impossible to cancel by asking my Bank to block NETFAN-PMT.com which is easily done just refer them to the reviews on line by Trust Pilot.
Rubbish (non ) Customer Service
Sent 5 emails to change password . no response why have that option if it doesn't work ?
Like everywhere nowadays . Money over customers.
Very POOR SERVICE with ridiculous…
Very POOR SERVICE with ridiculous membership prices. Cannot find out apparently simple things like how do I see if my message has been read and yes I have the upgraded membership
Someone stole my email
Someone stole my email (Tristan) to create an account. I complained several times and am still getting emails calling me Tristan (spoiler that's not my name). One customer service agent will email me saying the account is deleted, then another (Kevin) emails me telling me how to recover my account. I DON'T WANT TO. If i could give it zero I would. I really want to delete my email address from their memory but i can't. When I find you Tristan, trust me you will regret this.
Been a member a long time
Been a member a long time. Past few years it’s just became a joke. Profiles are fake or profiles still on there from member off line for over a year. You find yourself checking each profile to see if any of them are even active.
This is not a dating sight just a waste of time and money. Trust me don’t waste either. Use a different app as you will actually be able to chat and meet real profiles. Give this site a negative 5
This site is dangerous
This site is dangerous. I set up a profile, immediately after setting it up, I was thrown out and now I can't access it; it states my loft in details are wrong. This is despite successfully sending me an email 'welcoming' me, evidencing the validity of my email address.
I now have a profile on this site with my personal details thar can be seen by others, however, I cannot access it; way to make people feel vulnerable, POF.
I've attempted to make contact via the 'contact us' link on the email they sent to my, apparently, invalid email. They have failed to respond to my request that to profile is deleted.
Left with a profile on an app with photographs of me and personal details that I cannot access.
Total scam
Total scam, one "like" in 3 months of premium subscription by a possible realisticmatch, once subscription ran out, ilI got like 10 likes a day that you can't see to try to get you to pay again. Seems like my popularity rose 100 fold when my subscription ran out. SCAM

This site is atrocious and a complete waste of money! 90% of the profiles they show have been expired for months! At least 50% are scammers. I signed up and it won't let me send messages to prospective subscribers.. I was told I can only send one per day what a rip off!!
Money Grab for nothing in return
This site is a fake.Sent multiple messages .No responses except for sales rep that sends you messages to get real to resubscribe before it runs out of money going to thier pocket.Just as you ask them to verify thier fake photo they discontinued person i. Fake Person .Dont waste any money or time.hear.
Not the old POF anymore
This site was great before it was bought out by Match. Now they are greedy for money and I agree with other reviewers face accts and Bots so you think your really talking to someone for weeks then poof they are gone. I am a young 60 and I get all older woman messaging me, Stupid like button whats the point.
Rubbish
It doesn't listen to your preferences so always wrong distance. Hardly allows you to upload photos. I dont know what the version is like when you pay but from the free experience I wouldn't recommend using it let alone pay for it
Dont buy or your just be speaking to bots
Iv tested this alot and about 8 times iv bought a suscription and every single time it finishes, you get a match which are fake scam accounts or scam accounts made by tinder there self.
Even when you msg these accounts that match to you, theres no reply and seen it so many times now.
Just out for money and so bloody exspensive
This website has the MOST OBVIOUS use…
This website has the MOST OBVIOUS use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), bots, and fake profiles I have seen among all the dating websites. I have canceled my membership and will not be renewing. It should be illegal and dating websites should maintain ID verification to participate in active matching, otherwise people are mislead, both men and women. I think in the future people should come together and do class action lawsuits against dating platforms like this one.
Total scam really. Used to be a good resource to find a mate
You can’t get anywhere in free mode and prices are ridiculous just for a potential to see likes and comments from scammers
