Would you believe it. In my last review, where the engineer from Orona left the lift broken and my son has been in bed for 5 days as his whelchair was stuck downstairs. An engineer from Pollock lift turned up about an hour ago and had the lift working in about 2 minutes or less. It does say a lot about the Orona Engineers

Further to m first review of p. Pollock lifts two engineers called to rectify problems both very helpfull sorting people's first time stop button had been pushed by mistake second time lift stuck at top of stairs seat belt had come. undun and stopped the lift Pollock lifts got this sorted

Not being funny but this firms lifts are not fit for purpose my parents got one of these fitted with the help of social services its been as much use as a chocolate fireguard.constantly breaking down becoming detached from the wall on 3 occasions then became too costly for the callouts. they now both need the help with stairs but my mother would rather risk struggling with the stairs than get stuck in the lift again as it happened to her twice they got the lift repaired and serviced regular until it cost too much and broke after every service.They are stuck with this lift as they cant afford another they changed from pollock doing services and repairs as they were being paid more and more and service got worse and worse this lift has been nothing but a money pit and pollocks dont care as long as they are ripping off pensioners cash avoid at all costs

Everyone involved in the building work and the fitting of the lift including the office staff have been brilliant, we cannot fault them they were polite, efficient, cleaned up after their work. We are very grateful, it has changed my mum and our lives. My mum struggled to climb the stairs and it was getting too difficult for her to manage any more. She now has no stress or problems getting up to bed at night and can now continue to live a more comfortable life.

The steps involved were explained to us, the construction and installation teams were neat, quick and considerate. All went smoothly.

I purchased a stairlift for my father in law last year, and it has not missed a beat. From order to install was a matter of days. The installer was very friendly and even hoovered up after himself! Have recommended to others

Pollock installed a domestic lift, and it never worked properly. About a dozen times they (or their agents) had to come to fix small problems that meant the lift couldn't be used. I specifically asked if there were a chance of the lift stopping and trapping my disabled mother. I was assured not. Yet this is what happened. Over 7 hours she was trapped in the lift (I was out helping friends move). When I called Pollock to remonstrate, they assured me that an engineer would come the next day. Never came. Three months later, and engineer turned up unannounced and said the lift "only needed adjusting" . We signed up for a pendant alarm service, and a few months later the lift broke again, trapping my mother, but the alarm people quickly came. When the lift was examined by another company they replaced components in the bottom of the lift, and it has worked well since then.
Pollock lifts are not fit for purpose, customer service is a joke, and managements attitude is life-threatening.

Andy the electrician who made a great cuppa their work as first class very tidy. The guys that installed the lift were brilliant and helpful. I can only say they were first class and would recommend them to anyone.

Further to my earlier review of 31/5/24 I am pleased to say that having had further conversations with both their Installation Manager & one of the Directors - Mr Graham Saunders- that my issues with Pollock Lifts have been addressed to my full satisfaction. In fact Mr Saunders has been extremely understanding & empathetic about the on going issues with the relatively new lift & has also promised a senior engineers visit to throughly service & check the lift.
I now feel that Pollock Lifts is a listening company when you have any issues & they have been very kind & understanding of my mother in law’s situation.

Thanks to Pollock lifts. They made a significant difference for our ageing parents, who no longer need to navigate the stairs. Additionally, it has become a talking point among our guests, who are amazed by the lift's sleek and modern look.

Lift has stopped working several times from it has been fitted in my mothers house. Engineers have came out and fixed the battery but problem constantly persists. Foot plate is also making a loud banging noise. Inspector for the company came out and said the stair lift needed a new foot plate and battery. He arranged for an engineer to come out the same day. The engineer replaced the battery but not the foot plate as in his words " he didn't have a foot plate in his van " not ten minutes after the new battery installation the lift stuck half way up the stairs. Called the office and the engineer returned to say " the new batteries only come half charged and it's needs a couple of hours". Not good enough surely with a new battery it should be able to go up the stairs once. Lift still has not worked without stopping half way and error lights coming on a day later. Called the office again and was told information would be passed to an engineer and they would be out. 8.30 pm and no engineer has arrived called the out of hours number to be told it was logged on the system but the office for our area is closed and it wasn't on a out of hours call out list. I have to ring back tomorrow morning. It's a disgrace I now have to bring my disabled mother to my house (a bungalow) so she can access a toilet and bed.
