Finding VCRs in working order with remotes is getting harder and harder. Finding Porter Electronics was such a relief. We received a squeaky clean DVD/VCR player with remote and instructions, and it works like new. Our son, who has autism, has quite the Disney collection of VHS tapes, and he’s a happy camper now.

I was looking for a vintage VCR with S-video output to get the best result in transcoding old VHS tapes. Porter Electronics refurbishes their machines, so they are cleaned, lubricated, and tested. I bought a vintage VCR by JVC, and the experience was better than I expected. The machine looks brand new, clicker is included, manual is easily downloaded from their website. It arrived quickly, and Porter kept me updated on the tracking. I was concerned about shipping, but it was carefully boxed with tons of bubble wrap all around. Again, it was as if it was brand new out of the factory. Even FedEx was unable to damage it! The machine works great. Excellent experience, many thanks, and would absolutely recommend!

Porter Electronics was terrific! We were looking for a revamped VHS player - hard to find. They shipped one to us in mint condition, expert packing and record time so we could watch our family movies which only played on this type of media. Instead of spending thousands converting tapes, we received a great piece of equipment for less than $200, which was worth it to our family. The customer service was also A+ because they responded to emails very quickly.

The LG RC897T DVD Recorder/VCR Recorder digital DVD VHS combo (HDMI), is just what I was looking for to copy VHS tapes to DVD, so I or someone can view and preserve old memories a little longer than I may have time to do. Surprisingly this LG RC897T DVD Recorder/VCR Recorder, also will copy DVD to VHS, ( I don't know why anyone would do that?). the machine came very protected in a nice box, plastic wrapped with a very like new remote. so far, I would recommend Porter Electronics
