Hammer90 Review
While I’ve been following PowerAthlete for years, and have “dieted” off and on trying to lean out, I decided to take dropping body fat seriously and signed up for Hammer90.
What was immediately clear about Hammer90 was that it wasn’t going to be a normal dieting routine of just strictly counting calories. It was about building habits and a programming of hypotrophy training.
The habit building works as I dropped from 195 to 172. My strength either maintained or I was hitting PRs the entire time.
To help with the cut and accountability we did it as a cohort. Having others going through the same process allowed us to lean on each other when the cut got tough.

Power Athlete is a great program that has helped me improve my strength and athleticism. I have followed a few different programs that they offer which includes Dragon Slayer Field Strong and Hammer 90. All of them have been great and is hands down the best workout programs offered.
Hammer90 reminded me who I am
Hammer90 returned to me my identity as an athlete which I had lost between covid and having children, besides losing 23lb and keeping it off (so far) the program reminded me how much I love Power Athletes programs, eating good food and banging heavy weights daily. Absolutely would run it again.

I recently completed Hammer 90 and the experience was incredible. Ben kept us all accountable and the results speak for themselves. I dropped 27 lbs and I'm now the leanest I have ever been. Highly recommend to everyone!!
Only do this if you want to get f'in strong and fit
I am very pleased with the results I've gotten out of Power Athlete. It's a combination of:
- Hard work
- Consistency
- Fantastic programming on Johnnie WOD & BOD.
Results in 4 months:
- I've gone up a whole t-shirt size
- My dead hang pullups (legit pull-ups, no kipping nonsense or half a rep bs: elbows locked out, chin over the bar) has gone from 8 to 16 despite adding almost 15 pounds of muscle
- I can finally bench over 225# *close grip* for the first time in 10 years (for multiple reps)
- I feel damn good and look better too
- People who haven't seen me in a while ask me "What are you doing?"

Training programs are excellent and the discord group is really great to connect with others, learn more, and get feedback on your lifts. I lost 15lbs and added literally hundreds of pounds on my lifts (admittedly I was a novice to start with) in 9 months.

I have done other programs from different coaches and these were really good too but I always knew I would come back to power athlete it’s that good plus the banter between people who love all over the world is fun most a lot of us train alone so it’s nice to get that community feeling.

Amazing programming for athletes from high performers to average joes! I was introduced to PA in 2018 and haven’t looked back since. As a Firefighter, PA has given me the strength and movement needed to do the job and walk away without injury. The change in body composition has lead to numerous peers asking what I do in the gym and then hopping on board the PA train, to the point that our department is paying for over 40 FF’s, hopefully doubling that next year, to have access to PA. If you are looking to level up physically, mentally and metabolically then Power Athlete is for you!

I’ve been following power athlete programming since 2017 and recently had a nutrition consult with Ben.
The consult was well worth it! I felt like it was thorough, personalized, and very informative. I feel like I have a decent understanding of nutrition and training, but definitely needed some guidance. He answered all the questions I had and asked good questions of me so he could make the best recommendations to help me reach my goals.
The programming is well thought out and effective. I moved to Jacked Street initially after a neck injury forced me time away from CF. I’ve been on Dragon Slayer since it came out and I dabbled in HAMR for a few months between. My husband even jumped on Jacked Street with me when covid shifted us to at home workouts. He has seen awesome results and several of his SWAT teammates joined in (y’all have been responsible for lots of kicked doors, both literal and metaphorical 😂). I have seen steady progress with all programs, if you put in the work then you will 100% see results. I also love the availability and input you can seek from the coaches, I feel like that’s pretty unique to online/app programming.

Power athlete is everything they say they are and more. I’ve only received professional service from coaches and support. Their programs are the best I’ve found for whatever my goal has been. I have real world results in the tactical space that proves their programming works. In a world of ever changing fitness trends PA has stuck to their principles since inception and I’m so thankful for that.
Stronger, Faster, Leaner with Higher Work Capacity
They're programming has helped me get stronger, faster, leaner and have more capacity/energy to take on the day. I was doing JohnnieWod for a year and a half and i reached my Bench max that I haven't hit since 7 years ago. Now I hit it easy with no issues. They're programming is well structured and the tips within the Trainheroic app help a lot. They're very responsive and helpful on Trainheroic and the Discord app. I am starting Grindstone because I will be having a child soon. I'm excited for the new program! I've been following PA programming off and on for years. I get tempted by a shiny thing, discover it's a shiny piece of sh*t, and come back to PA.
A unique thing to PA is the discord. A literal smorgasbord of coaches and fellow athletes (and the big guy himself!) answering questions.
I had some questions, got linked up with Ben S. and after a 1:1 consult with him, I came away with personalized actionable items and a sense that I could truly make noticeable progress towards my specific goals. No fluff, no smoke blowing, and no cookie cutter BS nutrition template you might get somewhere else.
Suffice it to say, if you're not training with Power Athlete, you're wrong.

I worked with Ben Skutnik during his previous stint at PAHQ in 2018. Hit him up again for a nutrition consult when I saw he was back, and I'm glad I did. I found Ben to be more knowledgeable and well-versed in nutrition than previous coaches. He offered common sense, easy to implement diet and supplement changes to help with my situation.
