I’ve used this car rental service multiple times while my own car was being serviced, and each experience has been excellent. The vehicles are always spotless, communication is smooth and efficient, and Daniel provides outstanding customer service. Definitely recommend their services!

Thank you for the excellent service! Everything was smooth, professional, and with great understanding — as a lady, I really appreciated that all booking conditions were explained clearly and patiently.

Communication was outstanding throughout the entire rental period. The manager, I believe his name was Ritvars, helped me easily exchange the car mid-rental for a larger one and offered great conditions despite the change.

I can confidently recommend this car rental company!

Their office is located outside the city center, so I had to take a Bolt just to get there and to leave from there. They charged me almost €900 for rim damage that I absolutely did not cause. When I called to arrange the vehicle handover, I was simply told, “I’m on lunch break.” This is completely unprofessional.

I doubt this review will even remain visible, but I feel it’s important to warn others. Please do not use this company.

On top of that, their website reviews are clearly filtered — no genuine negative reviews are shown, and the ones posted there appear to be fabricated. (primecarrent.com = fake reviews).

Additionally their site reviews do not show for obvious reasons. All reviews in their site are fake. (primecarrent . com = fake reviews)

Be aware they can charge you for anything, if the car is dirty, they will charge you (the car I received was dirty beforehand). They gave me a quote that doesn't prove it is an official quote charging me the following :
Please find attached the official repair estimate from Toyota dealer, which details:

Repair costs – €627.33 (for a scratch on a rim that preexisted)
VAT (21%) – €131.74
Vehicle downtime (1 day at standard rate) – €36.00
Damage handling fee – €100.00
Total – €895.07

Be aware, that they modify the dates of your photos and when they are taken. (I am not sure how but they changed the metadata in my photo to say it was taken on a different than the original date.

They do not have an office they just meet you in a parking lot. They might charge you for parking on the parking lot, so be careful of that too.

In general, I would go for a major well known company. I lost my money but I hope this will help others not to be in the same condition as I am.

Amazing place where to rent the car, everything was smoothly. We got picked up in airport and brought to car park. After few mins and few signature’s I was on my way. Everything was explained in a good manner by Ritvars.

Very friendly and quickly. Met me in airport with a car. They frozen 200 euro only. The money automatically refunded in 10 days. Full insurance included in hire price.

I rented a car from Prime Car Rent during my Latvian visit last year October 2024 for a few weeks and I found them absolutely brriliant. Though I booked tnrough a 3rd party, the customer service was top notch from prime car and Emil (if I remember correct) was very helpful in explaining everything.

The car was absolutely beautiful and I will try my best to book with these guys whenever I visit again.

We rented a car here for our trip in the Baltics and were happy with the service and the car. We got the exact car that we had booked and the car was totally new. The pick up was very easy and went smoothly.

We were helped by Daniel who explained everything in a friendly manner and who’s communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend anyone to book here!

Taking car at Prime Car every time I go Latvia. Cars are always clean and new, staff is very friendly, always having the same guy for years, he is great, just shows how good the Company must be. Easy to get the car and even more easy to return, never had problems.

Be careful to check when you book with Prime that they are providing the car. Our booking was apparently subcontracted to Autobanga, without our knowledge. Autobanga have very negative reviews and in our experience, were very unhelpful. We weren't given any information where to return the car, had no address, no-one answered the phone, and Autobanga have charged us for leaving their car in a carpark, which Prime agreed to. Autobanga left the car for 16 hours in the car park and then charged us for the cost of parking! Check your contract is with Prime.
