Hi Diane,
I am so sorry it was damaged in transit – we do depend on DPD not to do this.
You had three peonies from us and our nursery manager has said this one is Coral Sunset which flowers very early and then the leaves turn brownish afterwards so if we sent you another it would be the same. Once planted this will flourish and flower for the next early flower season next year.

Unhealthy plants and changed delivery from 5-10 days to almost a month without notice …
Subpar product and horrid customer service. Many peonies arrived with Botrytis. One plant cost £99 and came with one stem and no other buds. At £99 you’d expect more than one bud. No contact number was available. The day I placed my order of almost £2000.00 their website posted a delivery period was 5-10 days. I wouldn’t have ordered if I was going to have to wait longer than that. I received an order confirmation. They missed the delivery period. They debited almost £2000.00 at the time of ordering (obviously) but I received no order in 5-10 days. I tried repeatedly to reach them, they didn’t respond for weeks, when they finally did they told me to stop bugging them and not to contact them again. They had my £2000, of course I wanted to know what was going on! After an order conformation email and making full payment of my order, I didn’t think it was my responsibility to follow their website incase they changed delivery times. After I placed my order they changed delivery time to 28 days. I didn’t receive an email to let me know of any changes. They said I should have followed their website for changes in delivery times. It took alot of attempts to get any response from them. They said I didn’t get my order in 5-10 days because they were busy with shows. Other growers at the same shows were able to meet their posted delivery times, and send healthy plants. The shows were a poor excuse for some unhealthy plants, poor service and delivery. Now I can’t reach them about the infected plants. An infection that can run rampant through my garden. *they do mention Botrytis in their pamphlet-making it sound like it’s nothing [research by numerous units shows the exact opposite] the pamphlet says Botrytis is possible in peonies, what the pamphlet doesn’t say is their plants arrive with Botrytis.

Order went through without a hitch. Delivered on time. Beautiful, healthy, well-grown peonies in pots as ordered. Recipient (it was a present) extremely pleased. I shall certainly use Primrose Hall again.

The plants looked beautiful and healthy and arrived carefully packed. My only disappointment is that they will not all flower this year. A few buds on some. I bought them larger and expensive, assuming they would all flower this year- no buds on the Itoh. But otherwise, I'm excited to have them.

Thank you for your review. Just thought I would let you know that at times the plants can seem smaller than expected. We hard-prune the plants every year to deliberately keep them small. This means that the plant is stronger, has better shape and (importantly) is easier to ship! This is why we give out plants a 2 year guarantee as it can take a year for the plants to establish in a garden and usually produce flowers the following year.

£142.35 Unfulfilled order but no peonies or no refund- don’t buy from them
I placed a large order for peonies on April 7 and my credit card was duly debited but have heard nothing nor received anything since. I checked the status of my order on the website and it showed that it was cancelled. There is no contact number so l emailed the company over a week ago asking them to either fulfil the order or refund my money. I have heard nothing since. As we speak, they are sitting on £142.35 of my money and l have received no peonies or a refund. Worst ever experience of ordering plants online. Dreadful. Don’t purchase from them.
