BEST DOUGHNUTS EVER!
AMAZING doughnuts! I order a lot of stuff like this online and most of the time it's a miss but these... ARE AMAZING I have no words for how tasty these doughnuts are! I WILL be back no doubt for a party/gift/cheeky fat day... ;) The only thing I could say they could improve on is the packaging of the products. It would be better if they were double-boxed not bagged as some of my doughnuts were a little sloppy but other than that I will be back thank you <3

Unreliable service
Unreliable service. Ordered for a party and didn’t arrive on the selected date. Then the day they claim it was coming it still hadn’t arrived and from the looks of it as it was sent out late so spending an extra day in transit which I assume will not mean it’s very fresh even if we do get. Would you be happy if the a birthday cake turned up late so just bear in mind.

Fantastic donuts
I am one of a number of investors in Project D, via Crowdcube, who have been contacting the company to gain an update to our investment. Hopefully, this may reach the directors and we will receive responses to our questions.

No order received and not informed!!…
I ordered a xxl donut for my partners birthday as they don’t like cakes. Picked delivery date and when that date comes I emailed asking if it was out for delivery today. Got told no there’s been an error in production you should have been told yesterday sorry. They gave me a voucher for 25% off and a refund to which i will not be ordering from them again. Terrible business model especially when there product aren’t exactly cheap! I now have to try and find an alternative on my partners birthday! I am now being blame for not ordering again to let them prove themselves complete jokers or what! And to your reply of a voucher that means giving you more of my money like that’s going to happen

SEND WRONG ITEMS AND THEN DONT REPLY
Ordered a large white chocolate doughnut at a cost of £25.. they sent us a completely different doughnut, a nutella one full of nuts etc. Contacted them and they just read the messages and don’t reply. Avoid.

Best vegan doughnuts periodt.
I had some of these doughnuts at a festival and have been ordering their vegan box ever since - as gifts for my vegan friends, for birthday parties, for myself. Every single one is mouth-wateringly good, the flavour combinations are amazing and - for the vegan ones in particular - they really cannot be distinguished from non-vegan options, as they are in no way lacking in flavour, consistency or texture.

Won't be buying from them again
Won't be buying from them again. Walked past their kiosk in Nottingham Victoria Centre on my way to Tesco, guy with a beard was busy putting together some treats. Hair covered face about a foot above the food... no beard covering, he was eating - I assume some of what he was preparing - and then he licked his fingers before opening up a pack of something and carrying on preparing the food.
This is food, there are rules for preparing food, this is unhygienic, unprofessional and disgusting.
I'd report it to the council if I thought they had the money to deal with it. Should be shut down.

Didn’t turn up for a pop-up
Project Doughnut didn’t show up to a number of their pop-ups this weekend. I understand this with the floods but we made a special journey for the pop up and I had disappointed kids. Project Doughnut we’re posting on social media so writing a 1 minute post cancelling some of the pop ups would have saved a lot of disappointment.

Ordered a couple of times from here and they are amazing, better than krispy kreme. Unfortunately DPD didn't handle my latest order with care but I spoke to customer service from project d and they sorted the issue. Really nice customer service and quick response.

I visit project D most weeks at the pop ups and if I cannot I normally put a order in for delivery, I am a regular customer since 2019, I recently went to a pop up at Strelley Farmers Market to find mostly same flavours apart from one which isn't a problem as i wanted a sugar fix but it is about time you start changing them bit more often please as you took the wow out my mouth but this isn't my concern because the doughnuts tasted old like the left overs from previous events from the previous day, the texture was like stale Bread. I contacted them via Instagram got a response but wasn't very talkative or helpful and I even asked for a update and no response, I understand people make mistakes but if they wasn't fresh a honest answer would have been nice then maybe next time you would avoid doing this? At one point leftover doughnuts would have gone to police, fire service and hospitals etc but don't seem like they do now. I hope you sort this out Project D

Damaged doughnuts and poor service
Delivery was delayed by several days and eventually sent to a local Co-Op even when several people were home at each of the delivery times / dates. Doughnuts were badly damaged and melting when collected. No response to direct email to Project D nicely asking them to put it right in line with their own Exchange & Re-deliveries policy.

Overpriced, dry - can do much better elsewhere
Bought a pack of 4 from a pop up in Melton Mowbray street food market. 2 X kinder, 2 X biscoff. Found all doughnuts disappointingly dry. They are ring doughnuts with a small 'cork' in the hole where a paltry (dry) dollop of (in our case) Nutella or biscoff spread is placed. They look nice as they are decorated elaborately. But, the taste is poor, texture is dry and dough very 'bready'. There are much better doughnuts available elsewhere at much less than the cost of these at £13.95 for 4!
Won't buy again. Very disappointing despite their hype.

Project D Experience
I really like Project D, and I have bought a lot of their doughnuts. They are some of the best doughnuts I’ve ever eaten. But I haven’t eaten any in ages. They used to make regular seasonal boxes with new flavours. Now every time I visit the website, or go to a pop up, the doughnuts are the same flavours.
I’ve tried those flavours multiple times, and they are lovely, but it was the variety I enjoyed. They’ve also put more focus on the 6 box and big doughnuts, which is too much for a couple to get through. Often, the boxes are the same doughnut 4-6 times, which I personally don’t understand. The 4 boxes don’t seem to be a focus any more.
My deliveries have been very hit and miss, the doughnuts often arrive battered (with their old courier sometimes they didn’t arrive at all, they smelled so good the delivery driver stole them haha), but the customer service is excellent.
I really want to fall back in love with Project D. I’d love to see some of the creativity from the golden era of ~2021 back again. White chocolate hazelnut filled Bueno doughnut to see out 2020, lemon filled Easter doughnuts, jam stuffed pink iced doughnuts. I think it’s made worse because they tease new doughnuts on their social media all the time but they’re never available.
I’m sure the reason for this is because they’re expanding the business and focusing on new customers/ working out what’s best for them as a business. I am very happy for their success. It’s just unfortunate that I’ve fallen out of love. Sounds dramatic but I really did buy a lot of these doughnuts for me and my partner! The doughnuts cheered us up through some hard times. We used to spend ages looking between the boxes online to decide which one to get. We just don’t get that any more.
Hopefully with their continued success they will release more themed variety 4 boxes.

Tastes great, looks don't quite match it!
Ordered a mega doughnut for a friend's birthday. I sent it straight to her and she has said it tastes amazing, however it's been quite battered in the box, which I do appreciate can happen in delivery, but I did order after seeing a mention of how they'd found a way of protecting the doughnuts in transit to avoid this kind of thing.
All in all, it tastes great (so I'm told and I do wish I lived nearer to my friend to try some!) but it unfortunately doesn't look amazing, and for nearly £30 when you include delivery you kind of want it to be perfect. Only really an issue if you're sending directly to the recipient though, if you have it sent to yourself first then you may be able to fix the squashed doughnut and make it more presentable!

1st order with Project D
1st order with Project D & donuts were unfortunately not delivered on the requested date really disappointing as they were for a friends evening birthday get together so had to rush out & buy an alternative also picked a day when I knew I would. Be at home .Dont understand why a Company would let you pick a date but then along with DPD the carrier they use don’t deliver no point to it .??
However when they arrived we all agreed few of the donuts were so delicious & stood out The Biscoff one & my favourite The Jammy Dodger one very fresh really substantial too we shared each one so could all have a taste .
Just personal choice but those 2 got most votes from the Box of 4 we ordered .
Would order again I think especially if there was an offer on & just expect them when they turn up
Worth a try for something a bit different
