I skipped the trial thinking I would be in safe hands with Sandee. On my wedding day, yes I looked amazing on photos but face to face, I felt like a clown. The make up was so heavily layered. I can't think of ANYONE I know who has rebooked Sandie after a series of events that they already paid for initially as she doesn't do any kind of reimbursement. Please ladies, don't be fooled by what she shows on social media. Anyone can take beautiful photos but to see her work. Up close. Is really quite ugly. I work in the wedding industry and more and more brides are telling me how they heavily regret using her on their wedding day. The only thing we all have in common is that we were fooled by her instagram AND if you look closely...HER FOLLOWERS ARE ALL BOUGHT!! Go through her followers, alot of bots. Don't buy into how big she makes herself to be, it's all deceiving to pull innocent people like us on board thinking we've booked the best of the best when in reality there are so many more make up artists with alot more skill

Absolute scammer after almost 4 years chasing a £500 deposit paid for make up that was not done. Still nothing after countless texts and emails with no reply. My wife is very very disgusted with her attitude and scamming nature.

Yes i am real and my experience was real!. Sandie is nothing but a fake money grabbing nasty piece of work! A course was booked and unfortunately Covid - 19 struck and the UK went into lockdown along with the rest of the world. Initially it was promised all course dates would be re arranged which was great as a £500 deposit was paid. Before we know it the UK was plunged into three national lockdowns. At this point along with most of the UK a year has passed i had given up and my priorities changed. Sandie was contacted and asked for a refund.. several messages were sent with no response. Finally we get a message saying we are in the process or refunding students who paid for the course sounds great. Weeks and months passed with no correspondence, once again more messages were sent which had been ignored again! At this point i've lost £500 for a course that has not taken place due to no fault of my own a Worldwide Pandemic which nobody had any control over. i Finally get a message saying a member of Sandie family have passed away and as promised refunds will take place in a few weeks. The waiting game started once again weeks and months passed no response or refund. I send one final message to which I'll be seeking legal action immediately i gain a response stating, course materials etc were paid for which have now gone to waste that's funny as oil-based foundation is good for about 18 months, Powder products, if stored properly and free from moisture, are good for up to two years, Also there was a National lockdown were companies could claim Covid grants. Seems like to me you profited quite well hope you enjoyed my hard earned £500 while some of us were struggling you clearly had the high life. Please don't be afraid of this nasty vile piece of work other people who booked the course would have the same experience speak up do not let people like Sandie Basra get away with lies and stealing innocent peoples hard earned money they worked for!

The reviews are all fake the UK was in lockdown on those dates!

Sandie and Laaj showed their wealth of knowledge and experience of makeup and hair styling to the teach us whilst applying ourselves overlooked to ensure we followed correct techniques. Their help and advice on how to set up as a business also helped a lot and the BABTAC accreditation has made my profile stand out

Absolutely loved the course! I gained such valuable knowledge on hair and makeup and found that I learned hair very quickly. I'm feeling very comfortable doing hair and makeup, it has definitely made me gain my confidence back. Laaj and Sandie were so so helpful and patient.

Fantastic 5 days on the makeup course. There was a lot of information to take in - some what daunting even, but the amount of knowledge given is amazing. I really do see makeup in a whole different light now. Both Sandie and Laaj were very easy to get along with and made the course extremely enjoyable. I was very nervous at the thought of the final day portfolios, so much so I even got quite upset, but they are always on hand and fully supportive. My final looks turned out fab :). And the support doesn't end when the course does, which is one of the best things I think, they are always willing to help even after and help get you started. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone thinking about a career in hair and makeup - I cant wait to get started and start my own journey in the world of makeup. Thank you both xx

I completed the Promakeup course with Laaj & Sandie in Sept 2018. Before booking with them I was already doing hair and makeup as a hobby as I was not only a full time lawyer but also a mum of 2. I wanted to better myself and enhance my skills and that is exactly what I achieved in the course.

I researched various courses because I wanted to make sure it was the right one for me. Even though the course was Leicester based i did not hesitate to book with ProMakeup for 2 reasons; I loved they way the course was split in 2 for hair and makeup over 8 days and was not cramped in space of 5 days. Secondly, I loved the style of look they created. It was fresh, versatile & very much "in" with the trend.

During the course not only did i meeting other amazing upcoming artists but both Sandie and Laaj were fantastic with their teaching techniques. They were patient with every single student and helped us to better ourselves.

The aftercare has since been second to none. They have both been there for me in terms of advise, guidance and now being part of their pro stylist team as a senior stylist. They have supported me through this amazing journey.

Last year I made a huge decision to resign as a full time lawyer so I am able to pursue my dream as a hair and makeup artist. I now successfully run 2 businesses; one as an artist and other as a consultant solicitor. I have the best of both worlds and this has only been possible because of the support I have had from my mentors Laaj & Sandie.

If you are thinking of doing a hair and makeup course I will not hesitate to recommend this course. It's not just a course but the aftercare is second to none.

Excellent service

I've always wanted to do hair and makeup as a career but I've never had the get up and go to do it or had faith in myself or always had an excuse but something made me want to pursue my dream in 2020.

Having had my hair and makeup done by both Sandie and Laaj, I contacted Pro Makeup London and signed up to the hair and makeup course in Leicester in March.

The course was very intimate and very professional but relaxed. The first day started off with some theory and then we practised the styles we had learnt which I surprised myself at how quick I picked up on the styles and was able to recreate the look. This continued for the rest of the week and had both Sandie and Laaj on hand to assist us.

The group of girls on the course were lovely and we all helped and learnt from eachother - we became a little family in such a short space of time and we've all kept in touch with eachother since.

The communication and encouragement from Sandie and Laaj has been on point from just checking in to see how we are to having group video sessions on how we can all work together in the future.

I feel that the course so far is helping me immensely with my career and future as I'm already looking at ways I can progress my career to fit in with my full time job and home life.

Both Sandie and Laaj are amazing at what they do and for them to pass on their expertises to other people who have a passion for hair and makeup is such an amazing thing to do and to also learn from the best.

I would definitely recommend Pro Makeup London to anyone who wants a career in hair and makeup.

I can't wait for my dream career to develop so I'm able to finally do what I've always loved doing!

So much to learn on the 3 day hair course. Preping the hair. Various different hair styles, tips and techniques. Really pleased that I signed up for this course.came away learning lots.
Was a friendly inviroment ti learn in. Trainers were patient and we're very hospitable at the same time. At the end of the 3 days, came away feeling confident. Feell as though I've always known Laaj and Sandie.
The nice thing about goung on the Pro make up course, is that, they are ready to help afterwards aswell. As they have been in touch with all of us. Ready and willing to help us with the next step, with our journey to becoming make up artists. Would love to thank them both. And I would highly recommend them.

Absolutely loved the course! Really happy I chose to go with Pro Make up, Laaj and Sandie are brilliant teachers and really take time to teach the looks thoroughly. Would definitely recommend especially for a beginner looking to start in this industry!

I completed my makeup course with Laaj Lally in 2011 and completed my hair course in 2012. The quality of training was absolutely immaculate. With some of my friends who have trained with other academies, they haven't been able to get that hands on experience which I have gotten. The course involved creating looks on live models and each time both teachers would assess our work thoroughly to ensure that we learn the correct techniques. I clearly remember this, I always had trouble with lip liner and lipstick application, Laaj thought me a technique which has stuck with me till date. This is just an example of how serious students are taken. Moving on, I went to work for Laura Mercier with my certification where I was able to apply my learnt techniques. All my clients at Laura Mercier would always ask for me when they would come to get a makeover done. Whilst my time with Laura Mercier, I joined AMA group (now pro makeup). I worked on quite a few bookings with Laaj and got bookings from the being a part of the group as well. This is a unique offering which Laaj and Sandie offer, where they see your potential and take you on to work with them and represent them. All artist who joined the AMA group were treated fairly and given a fair amount of bookings. Working with other artists meant I was able to pick up more techniques and learn from them. And the best part was that I got to shadow Laaj and pick up pro tips from her on actual bookings. I remember doing hair was not my cup of tea, but Laaj saw the potential in me and kept pushing me to practice, and now I am confident with putting hair up. I left Laura Mercier and moved to Kenya in 2016. I was able to take my certification to Kenya and I built my clientele base there. Laaj actually recommended me to her clients in Nairobi too and I was able to work on bookings with Laaj abroad as well. I got extremely busy with bridal bookings in Africa and was able to travel to Uganda to do a bride, and also able to work on destination weddings in places like Mombasa and Kisumu. I truly feel privileged to be a part of Pro Makeup London. We are always learning from each other and Laaj and Sandie treat all stylists equally. I feel they are both very focused on our growth and always want the best for us. I would highly recommend doing this course and becoming part of the family.

This has been a great experience, learnt great techniques for hair and make up.

The theory and practical was easy to understand and not too complicated. The support was there when we needed it.

The portfolio day was a great practical activity to end with as we got to see then end result of our learnings in the two weeks.

I had an excellent experience with Laaj and sandie and learnt a lot. After I finished my training with Pro make-up London, Laaj took me to Barcelona for work which was the best experience ever.
