WARN EVERYONE YOU KNOW NEVER TO USE PROPERTY GUYS HERE IN THE KOOTENAYS OF BC!
The owner here with PropertyGuys.com Kootenays West, Central and Boundary is a LIAR and has caused us a lot of grief!

We waited day after day, week after week to get listed and then there was endless mistakes. We were listed for less than 2 months out of the year he promised, with lots of mistakes, and we did not have one interested buyer or showing the entire time we were with Property Guys. Before we listed with Property Guys, we were selling privately had lots and lots of showings. Potential buyers and a “real” real estate agent told us that they wanted nothing to do with Property Guys after we listed with Property Guys. Within 2 hours of when we took the Property Guys signs down, we had interested buyers again.
I could go on and on with all the lies S. J. told us and problems he caused, but some are:
We only had 2 weeks to sell our place or the contract on the property we wanted was over and even though we had lots of views, we still hadn’t actually sold. S. J., with Property Guys, showed up just before supper, and told us that we needed them, the professionals, to sell it and they would sell it right away and probably for more than we were asking. He went on about properties that they had supposedly sold for more than the asking price. It was important to me that we get listed with MLS right away and he promised, repeatedly, that we would be listed the next day. Well, day after day after day, after week after week and we STILL were not listed on MLS! The deadline for the contract was long over and we STILL were not listed on MLS! S.J. also said repeatedly that we would not have to pay until Property Guys sold our house for us or for one year. He wanted us to get financing, but I said we couldn’t and didn’t want to anyway. We would pay when the house sold or after a year, like he said we could. He repeatedly said that was fine. After hours of promises and interfering with our supper, he suddenly rushed into high gear and rushed me through signing the contract. The contract was double sided and he used Acronyms that I asked him about, but he lied about. Every contract I have ever signed has the date and final signature at the end of the contract. He did not show me that there was another whole back side after the final signature. He did not show up to do the drone photos when he said he would, and he did not take photos of the only things I wanted on the drone photos. He told us not to worry about cleaning our house before he took photos of the interior – his Computer tech team would clean it up digitally. But when he finally came to take photos, he made us clear everything out of every room, room by room to make it look like no one lived here. We were exhausted, his photo’s were not good, and the digital “dishonest” pictures filled the rooms up to look cluttered and smaller than they are in real life once they FINALLY put some up on a listing. After I signed the contract, and before they listed anything, S.J. did a 180’ and started pressuring me to pay right away or get financing. After several phone calls with him, I was suddenly the new owner of a credit card, and owed $8,500! No one asked me how much money we make in year or to sign a contract with a credit card company. I asked the credit card company for a copy of this supposed contract I have with them and they said, that Property Guys set it up and to contact them. After waiting for S.J. to get back from holidays, while my husband suffered from Covid, working with sickness and not enough money to buy boots without leaking holes, he also got stress related illness worrying about how we were going to get enough money to pay the $8,500 since Property Guys did not sell our house or do anything but make us lose that selling time and make ME work very hard for several weeks trying to get a listing up that wasn’t full of mistakes and that people could actually find, I sent an email to S.J. asking nicely if we could have a partial refund. He came back from holidays and day after day I waited for a response. Finally, he said NO, he would not give us a dime and to contact the credit card company that “I” had set up a contract with. Of course, "I" had done no such thing!
He lied and lied and then he sat back with our hard earned money and did NOT sell our house or keep his promises while I did all the hard work of trying to sell it.
So after being listed for less than 1/6 of the year promised and nothing but grief, I would NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!!

When I read all these negative comments I was worried about contacting propertyguys but Phil and Nicole in the Okanagan are amazing! They did a phenomenal job marketing my home and were always available to help me with questions. I would highly recommend their services to anyone, especially if you like to save a bunch of money!

PG sent a rep to my house + when I said I am a low income senior he was in a big hurry to leave he explained as little as possible only showing the good stuff I asked many times what if my house doesnt sell he stated you will owe us nothing Contact me anytime as much as you need to I had to complain about many things + nothing was done or it was done wrong He showed up in person + was outside hollering at me that this was ALL my fault made no sense to me he held up his hand + pretended to read emails from it- said he cant understand them I replied has this been done yet + why not -he held up his hand 2 times again but with no answers I realized that something was wrong with him that was at the end of 2months after that there was NEVER any contact at all for the next 4months they got my money I never sold my house + paid $6200 for this S--- S--- Justin Lepage + Simon Jones in Castlgar.BC

Tried navigating their broken site. It is by far the worst user friendly site I've visited. I tried hard to view the listing on their map... arrrrg... it isn't worth the frustration to continue, so i left their site. And with that in mind, I most certainly would not use their site to sell my home.

Waste of money. That actually do nothing at all. Just bs you in the beginning. Never use them again.

Do NOT believe a word they say, they promise you the world and never deliver. I paid $ 1000.00 and all I got was a sign and access to MLS. They are totally incompetent, unprofessional and you can never find them when you need them.

Scam scam scam scam… DO NOT buy into their franchise. They will take all your money and leave you for dead. They offer no support or help and you will NOT make your money back at all and everything they promise is a lie. DO NOT sign anything because you’ll be locked in for 5 years with MASSIVE costs and no reassurance for a profit

There is almost 0 truth to anything these guys do. I would go ahead and write a novel about them, but take one look at what the others are writing below.

If I could give a 0 / 5 I would. Liars who don't deliver on their promises. STAY AWAY.

You get all the bells and whistles until they get your money and then give you attitude and zero help when dealing with the purchase of your home. Multiple offers was a nightmare! Don’t waste your money as most clients looking at your home will bring a realtor and you have to pay them. So both fees together are basically 3% with the headache. Property guys were no help and left me very stressed. I will pay a realtor 3% to put up with the bs. I planned a open house, they forgot to advertise. I needed help with next steps once the offers were made, no help. I felt like they thought I was a pain in their butt. The man I hired has his wife working for him, which made it difficult as she was rarely available as she also works in the home raising her children. There was so much I didn’t understand and got no help. I have bought 12 homes and I will never use property guys again. It was not worth the $6600.00 at all. Don’t waste your money. Hire a realtor at 3%, you won’t regret it. If you try property guys, good luck getting any help!

I am extremely disappointed in the Red Deer franchise owner. He doesn't check (or return) his messages. He was to put 2 mere postings onto realtor.ca and it is now almost a month since my request and they still aren't up. He has deposited my money but has excuses as to why it's not yet done. Just excuses, never an apology. Very poor way to run a business. Shame on you.

Took two weeks to get confirmation on the status of a property as to whether it sold or not. Only found out the property was sold after revisiting the website and it had been removed from the listings as of 02/05/22. I never received any confirmation after numerous inquiries and assurances from their office that I would be contacted.

The website is impossible to use. Must have been designed by someone in public school.

Adjusting the filters such as price is difficult, entering locations such as Nova Scotia do not work and it is very slow.

I only got As far as their website, thier horrible map. And be warned you can't even leave their site you can't unsubscribe from them. But back to that map and they're listing service it's a bloody headache ain't worth the time to even look for a house from them. I've gone back to MLS and Realtors to continue my search.

Not one listing was available and responses took forever. What a joke and waste of time.

This organization is a farce. The franchise owner quit in the middle of the process AFTER I had received the payment financing through their third party finance company PayBright. So I get financed for the payment to property guys and then they abandon me and my listing, with zero support from head office. Horrible customer service. I was told that they (Property Guys) have no responsibility for the payment I now have to make to PayBright for a service I did not receive. I have tried to contact the "manager" Nick Bedard with many phone messages with no response.
I had to hire a realestate agent, since I was left with no support from Property Guys. Run away from this company...

Just received a response to this review, funny how quick they respond to a review...if only they could be more responsive to a person to person phone call. Cowards and scammers.

As a customer I'm very unhappy, as the company decided to remove my home from their site as my house did not sell within their timeframe. It didn't matter that I had paid the fee and signed a contract. They locked me out of the site, put a sold sign on my ad and after an initial explanation that I didn't respond to a realtor, they ignored my emails. I would not recommend listing with them!

Property Guys as a concept is fantastic!

We bought in to an area in Ontario with the intention to make some extra money. BIG MISTAKE!
I am writing this review to warn anyone who is considering this as a career or part time. Please don't sign anything or send in your deposit until you know what you are in for. They will send you lots of documents with names of other Franchisee's that you can talk to. Guess what! they have all they're savings invested in there franchise why would they tell a stranger that they are not making money, most want out but the contract is binding and you will be locked in for the term specified.

Hands down 5+! Annalise Wojnowski was incredible from day one! Professional, realistic, honest and genuine! Her suggestions, timelines and instincts were bang on! We sold our home and purchased our next adventure together! Honestly, I'm not sure all the pieces would have come together as well as they did had it not been for Annalise Wojnowski, her experience, kindness and time! Thank you!
