The best Spanish school in Cusco! The accommodation and location are perfect. I even stayed an extra week because my teacher was so wonderful.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn Spanish in Cusco. 👍🏼

I had a great time with Proyecto Peru. During my time with them I did a week of Spanish lessons which were really great and I learned a lot. I also had the opportunity to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary.
My Spanish teacher Paula was so helpful and patient. She made learning so much more fun. I also really enjoyed the class trips we did where we could practice our Spanish in public.
The Cochahausi Wildlife Sanctuary was incredible to work at. Being able to have so much interaction with animals I couldnt normally have was incredible. Id usually clean the enclosures, prepare and feed the animals, play with the animals and after a week I got to give tours to tourists.
The proyecto Peru atmosphere is so friendly. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming. We have weekly activities around Cusco where we would all come together to do. This was really great to get to know so many people.
Through the school we could also book all kinds of trips. Personally I did Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu and the ATV lagoon trip but there are so many more. This makes it so much easier to experience Peru.

I've had a great time with Proyecto Peru.
They offer spanish classes, various Internships and Tours.
I did 2 weeks of Spanish classes, 2 months of "medical Internship" in a hospital (Antonio Lorena) and the Inka Trail with them.
Everyone coming from Germany should know that Antonio Lorena is a great hospital for a "Pflegepraktikum"! The experience is way better than in germany. You learn more while doing less, since the doctors and nurses actually have time for you!
Doing my "Pflegepraktikum"/ Medical Internship here was definitely a great idea!
The spanish classes they offer are also great, huge shoutout to my teacher Paula!
If you ever have any questions or problems Enrique and the team at Proyecto Peru will be happy to help.
The only Suggestion I have would be to turn on the oven in the wintertime.
The Inka Trail I did with them was another amazing experience.
I can definitely recommend Proyecto Peru for Volounteering, Spanish classes and booking the Inka Trail.

I volunteered with Proyecto Peru for 4 weeks as part of the medical internship program. I volunteered in one of the local Centro De Salud clinic nearby and assisted the doctors in the morning, afterwards would come back to the volunteer house for lunch, and spend the rest of evening exploring Cusco.
Beyond that, this program offers more than just the opportunity to learn and practice your Spanish (maybe even Quechua as well!!). This time was amazing, very informative, and acquired a lot of knowledge and skills. There were many highlights on the program, the commitment from everyone there, Dora, Enrique, Angie, Cohen, and even the Spanish teachers there that really get to know you! I stayed in the volunteer house where theres a shared kitchen, and remarkable people from around the world.
The highlight is that Proyecto Peru is right in the center of Cusco, so you have a lot near you, they have weekly group activities, ranging from Karaoki to jeopardy, salsa. I also spent one-week doing organic farming in the Sacred Valley, where we pruned roses, moved around compost and even got the chance to help give a table a new life, and we were taken in with open arms from the host family. We ate together, and were given a glimpse of their local life, which was a great contrast from the city, if you're interested in getting a different perspective.

Proyecto Peru offers Spanish and Quechua classes and provide volunteering opportunities at sustainable projects around cusco. I did three weeks of medical volunteering at Independencia and one week of organic farming. I lived in the volunteer house and then in a homestay for the last week.
I had the bestest time. I learned a lot and experienced new things but the best thing were the other volunteers that I met during my time there. It was fun to just cook together and hang out in Cusco. My homestay family in the Sacred Valley treated me like their son and the food was so good. Volunteer house can be a bit cold but the internet is good and hey have classrooms u can use to do work.
I have no complaints.

I only took 20 hours of private Spanish classes here, but they offer many things from home stays to volunteering and internships. My teacher Mirian was fantastic.
She quickly accessed my level and needs and made a program customized for me. We had some structured lessons, but would spend the majority of time practicing the new concepts and engaging in conversation. She was patient and friendly. The entire staff is warm and accommodating. They have social events and frequently have lunch together. Really great institution that I would highly recommend to my own family and friends. More importantly My Spanish substantially improved and I plan on continuing with online lessons
My experience with Proyecto Peru was amazing. I did an internship in psychology for one month at a mental health center and it was such a rich experience on a career and personal développement level. The people are very welcoming, open minded and supportive. It is such a great opportunity to grow on so many levels. It teaches you so much about yourself, your career, the culture, the language, etc. Through out my whole experience I was well surrounded by the people from the organisation but also by the other students/ volunteer. I met some amazing people which I had so much fun with. Everyone should live an experience like this even if it’s not career oriented, proyecto Peru offers a lot of different volunteering options also!

I have found a second home. I can only recommend everyone to make this experience - you will not regret it!
The activities for volunteers every week are great and everything is done to make sure you have a good time there.
You meet many new interesting people from many different countries and soon feel at home. I will never forget my time there. Many thanks to all ❤️

I spent 3 weeks with Proyecto Peru and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. I work in a Dog Shelter in the morning and had spanish class in the afternoon plus I stayed with a hostfamily. The hostfamily was amazing, all the family members are really interested in getting to know the people who stay with them and they interact with you in a way that it doesn't get too much. The mother always sat on the table with me to speak to me when I was eating alone, which improved my spanish massively. The food was delicious as well, always fresh and different everyday, I even got fresh juice every morning.
The school and the organization of everything was simply perfect! Everyone is super nice, you feel so welcome from the first second on and I felt like I'm a part of this school right away. People don't act like you're a stranger, it feels like a family, it really does. They are super open about feedback and they try to improve things right away which is awesome! Everyone who works there is always there to help, if you need restaurant tips, where to catch the bus, organize tourist tours - it's just amazing! They are always reachable via Whatsapp even on weekends which is an incredible service!
I loved the work at the dog shelter a lot! The owner is super nice, friendly and speaks english which makes it not so hard to get along if you're spanish is really basic. I felt very welcome and I felt like my help was really appreciated.
The spanish class was fantastic as well, the teacher was funny, friendly and had a really good way to explain the language. We had a lot of fun during our class!
All in all, I had 3 amazing weeks and I wish I could have stayed longer! If I will ever come back to Peru, I will go to Cusco again for sure, even if it's just visiting them all again! Thanks for everything!!

Four weeks in Cusco with Proyecto Peru. I attended language school, volunteered at Cochahuasi and made different tours to discover Cusco and the surrounding.
It's hard to resume all the great experiences during this time. Everyone from the Proyecto Peru team, the language school and the project was very friendly and helpful. There have been different activities during the week that made it easy to connect to other volunteers and students.
Cusco and also the Peruvian countryside are so beautiful!
I can really recommend this experience to everyone who wants to get to know this country not only from a tourists perspective!

This has been absolutely one of the most positive awesome soul and heart grabbing experiences in my life. Everyone from the volunteers to the 'powers that be' are so helpful and show that they really care about our well being and experiences.
Put it this way, this experience has been so positive, I would regularly 'tell' people I want to live here and become 'Cusqueno'.
This is definitely one of the greatest professional and personal organizations to work with.

I took part in the Proyecto Peru Cusco veterinary internship. I was stationed at Wayra Vets and couldn’t be happier with my time there. Proyecto Peru is a well established volunteer/internship organization with a very nice headquarters. I truly felt that they cared for the well being of me and my boyfriend during the duration of my stay in Cusco. They checked in on me and also invited me to weekly gatherings of interns/volunteers from other projects. I definitely recommend working with Dr. Marisol at Wayra Vets if you are interested in the veterinary project. She was very kind and patient with my limited Spanish language skills. Overall great experience :)

Me and my 18 yr old daughter decided to volunteer at an animal rescue centre in Cusco as a part of a more extensive trip to Peru. We spent a week living with a wonderful host family, and volunteering at an animal centre, helping to look after llamas, alpacas, macaws, monkeys, and lots of other animals, helping with the daily routines. Staff there were very welcoming and friendly, and even though our Spanish was very basic, a few of team members spoke fluent English, which reassured us that nothing was lost in translation. Enrique and the team at Proyecto Peru were super helpful, especially when it came to local customs, food, transport, and safety. They were always accessible and at hand to help. A truly 5* service, and an unforgettable experience!

Before coming to Peru, I was excited to join the medical project at Proyecto Peru and gain an insight into healthcare in Peru. The time spent here has exceeded all of my expectations. From the first day, I was made to feel like not only another volunteer but a member of my incredible host family. All the staff at Proyecto Peru, including Enrique and Angie, made me feel very welcome and I knew that I could go to them with any problems that I had, and they also helped me to organise trips in my free time, including to Rainbow Mountain. In the project itself, it took me a few days to get used to the routine but all of the staff in the clinic were very friendly and, along with a week of Spanish lessons, I was soon able to improve my Spanish and feel like I was making a valued contribution. Overall, I would recommend Proyecto Peru to anyone who wants to volunteer in Peru alongside improving their Spanish.

I am so grateful for the time spent here through Proyecto Peru. The volunteering was amazing. I was able to serve Peruvian patients and improve my Spanish in the process. Plus, life outside volunteering with Enrique and Angie and the rest of the staff was so enjoyable. I’m gonna miss the weekly activities spent with the other volunteers. Overall, Proyecto Peru is a great organization that made my time here extremely special.
