Avoid at all costs!!!

Avoid at all costs!!!

The company the use for all their works, Remedial Co have ceased trading as of last week. They have nobody in place to do any work and therefore are rejecting all claims until they have a replacement company to carry out any repairs.

They will do anything not to pay out....I will be going to the FOS to make a complaint.

Possibly a rogue company

I took out a 10year warranty on my home with these dodgers and on the 9th year I discovered that our home has defective blocks. After answering all their questions and submitting everything that was asked of me, I'd wager that QANW is actually a 'bedroom company' that is operated by a family of chancers, whose sole target is to avoid clarity or paying out on any valid policy claim by tiring you out with unnecessary delays and extra slow communication. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could

Am having to now take my case to the small claims court as QANW refuse to accept any responsibility for poor workmanship. Any advice to home owners DO NOT accept any work on your home if it is covered by these people. They've admitted my roof leaks because of poor workmanship fitting solar panels, however will not provide any support in making this right, saying they will only cover the panels if faulty. If this is the case why do the panels have a separate policy??? Shocking.

Update: they said they have processed a claim. NO they havent. They admit my roof leaks because the panels were fitted incorrectly, however will not cover the repair costs. Said they will refit the panels correctly, what a joke. Have referred to Ombudsman and sought legal advice.

Unfulfilled Warranty Repair

I purchased an orangery from Launa Windows Ltd, completed in March 2018, with a 10-year warranty through QANW / Warranty Services Ltd.

Since 2020, the orangery has developed a persistent leak. I have repeatedly contacted Launa Windows and QANW regarding inspection and repair but to date, I have received no written response or action to resolve the problem, leaving the warranty unfulfilled and the issue ongoing.

I am sharing this review to highlight the lack of response from both the installer and the warranty provider and to encourage them to address warranty claims properly.

Send them anything they'll lose it.

Firm that installed rear window and door ceased trading.
I have a minor problem with water ingress at one side. contacted QANW to check That suggested solution was sensible.
They did not answer first e mails to them. Never received their excuse.
Mailed full pack of order, certificates, warranty, and certas certificate to head office. Not received again
Repeated via recorded delivery. Not received again.
Sent Post office signed receipt for mail. they cannot interpret simple picture!
Just sent a picture of work done by e mail. I am not holding my breath.
My first contact pre Christmas 2024.
Either they are totally disorganised and grossly inefficient or a scam in legal clothing.

Awful company

Awful company. Will find any way to delay or wriggle out of paying. Every time I disproved their reason for declining my claim they came up with another equally ridiculous reason for not paying. In the end I had to lodge an official complaint and threaten to take them to the ombudsman in order to get them to pay what should have been a straight forward claim.

Double glazing Co supplied new DG &…

Double glazing Co supplied new DG & Orangery Roof Lantern which was defectively installed. QANW declined our claim even though the installer went bankrupt & switching the onus to the credit card provider under Section 75.
The Guarantee is not worth the paper it's printed on, QANW should ensure all claimants they wont get a penny if they've paid anything by CC.
Customers do not need Insurance Backed Guarantees if payment is by CC, it is a smoke screen to make them think customers are covered.
We have wasted over a month to be declined, had to employ a builder to repair the defective works, & as usual QANW's claims dept respond with a 10 day wait for reply, wasting more time.
We are taking the matter further!!! We would not use builders etc who appear to be misled also by IBGs despite having to pay the insurers premiums for worthless cover.
Reviews of QANW appear to say the same, & if we could give no star we would.
This issue needs airing on Money Saving Expert & Watchdog!

Avoid the QANW 10 year insurance backed guarantee scam

We purchased 3 lots of QANW policies. This was offered by the contractor, but the money was paid directly to QANW and it is they who supplied all the paperwork. The policies are sold as 10 year insurance back warranties, in reality they only run the same length of time as the contractors guarantee and this could be as little as 12 months.
Not only do the policies sold by QANW not run for 10 because they are not extended warranties but QANW reject 66% of claims.
The product is mis-sold and we aim to ensure that no other customers are scammed in this way. The current 10 year insurance backed policies offered by QANW are not worth the paper they are written on. We have been scammed into buying 3 such policies and QANW will not honour any claims.
QANW website runs a big sell regarding the 10 year insurance backed guarantees, they are worthless policies and should be avoided.
The Financial Ombudsman are a waste of time so don't bother asking them to look into the matter. What is required is legal action to change the wording and mis-selling of the supposed 10 year, insurance backed guarantees.
In the meantime, QANW are making a great deal of money offering nothing in return and at the same time winning awards.

Positive experience

I have to say that our experience with QANW was surprisingly positive. We turned to them for help when practically all the double glazing panes in our recently installed sash windows failed and the supplier declared insolvency.

The windows were covered by an insurance backed guarantee from QANW. Whilst it’s fair to say we didn’t see eye to eye on everything (like most insurance companies, they interpret some of the fine print as they see it), they were reasonable in their approach and I could see the rationale behind their decision making.

They put forward a settlement to cover materials, and although this figure was less than we had hoped, it was a fair sum based on the policy wording and quotes we had received. Without the policy, we would have been in a far worse position.

This was paid promptly without me having to chase. The whole process was far smoother and easier to navigate than we had anticipated. This was largely down to our claims adviser Diane who was simply superb to deal with. She was kind, courteous, available, transparent, objective and a reassuring influence. In short a fantastic advert for the company.

I would give minus stars to this…

I would give minus stars to this company.
I have a claim as my supplier went into administration when he was going to replace work done . This company have wriggled and declined the claim for every conceivable reason.
I took the matter to the Legal Ombudsman and they have found in my favour.
QANW then wanted two quotes for comparison, these have been supplied, they are now contacting the two companies that quoted regarding the original work, which they have not seen as they are quoting for a new replacement product.

If you have these policies, I would suggest they are not worth the paper they are written on!!
Builders do not pay the premiums as they will not protect your clients. Total Rip off merchants.
They are bound by the decision of the ombudsman but they do not seem inclined to do that so total nightmare think it will progress to litigation.

Don't bother getting any insurance…

Don't bother getting any insurance policy with this company because they use every trick in the book not to pay out when things go wrong .
Sent a door company out to look at my door who said it was poor workmanship that was causing the problem .
QANW Wrote back to me saying it was wear and tear from use and guess what there not sorting it out .
Lousy service from a lousy company .
Avoid at all costs !!!!

Slow

Slow, don't listen, cash cow generating machine.
If you're in the trade and looking for a competent company, DO NOT touch these guys.
Amongst other things their email system does not accept emails correctly, this includes replies.

I initially looked at this company wen recommended for my company, for no good reason they failed to register certain elements I had forwarded them which ultimately delayed my registration elsewhere by 4 months.

Having finally got everything into place I was then informed by another sister company that I had to go back to the QANW website and register for their terms of business. WHAT? I tried to contact them and they were closed, on the website the only thing I had to select was a Sales Pitch
